The fries are barley passable. The service was fine. The menu varried enough. It was a food quality issue. When I am asked if I want pink I my burger and I say yes, having a burger that is closer to well than medium just isn't acceptable. (I was starving, ate what I was served. Very good chicken Caesar wrap from this establishment for nine dollars which is one of their lunch specials. I stopped in on a Thursday, wings are eighty nine cents on Thursdays. I went with five hot honey Nashville and five golden bbq fried crispy. The wings were like that, very tasty. I sat at the bar and received excellent service. The ambiance is cool, the area looks dope and revamping. There are plenty of TV's for sports goers also. I walked here so I don't recall what the parking situation is. Local restaurant situated in Sarasota's Rosemary district. The place has a chill and hip vibe. Monday nights are awesome. They have a cheese burger and fries deal for $7. You literally can't beat it. I wish I had taken a picture, but I just had the best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich here that I've ever had in my life (and I travel to Nashville several times a year). I added coleslaw as a side and then added it to the sandwich- it was awesome. I eat here often and always overly impressed with the quality of the food and the quality of their drinks. Usually everything here is amazing and the food was. However, how do you serve soup without crackers or even a piece of bread. I asked and was told I could get some garlic bread. The food here is super good! Loved the jalapeño burger it was so delicious. I didn't love the big blob of jalapeño jam blob but it was better when I spread it on the bread. December 10, 2023 - Three for dinner: So start with my biggest peeve in Sarasota - parking. Either availability or COST!!! There was plenty of street parking and it was FREE!!! (smile) 10/10 The place was not too busy as it was raining and folks stayed home I guess on this Sunday night in December. Our server was very pleasant and fairly attentive. She sort of hung back in the kitchen and we did need to have others retrieve her. NOT a big deal, we were not in a hurry and she was not going back and forth with a bunch of tables, so I get it. But maybe they should 'buzz' the active tables every 5 minutes anyway? We got some very basic 'bowls'. My daughter the Burrito Bowl that she said was good and she would order again. she said a fairly authentic burrito without the tortilla. the chicken was fairly flavorless and stingy per her and she was not a fan of the cheese. 7/10 My wife had gotten a Greek Life bowl (salmon and etc) from the Venice location and she REALLY liked it. She opted to try something different and got the Korean Beef Bowl (a Bibimbap affair) with kimchi and sticky rice and a sunny side up egg. quick comment the sunny side up egg could have used about 10 more seconds as the top was still very snotty and whites were actually raw around the yolk edge, although the griddle must have been very hot as the "bottom" was blackened and had the fried oil halo of death and grease potholes of char. (picture on the site) The rest of the dish was pretty good. The marinated beef was sorta tangy off tasting possibly a spice or sauce flavor and the chimchi a bit too heavy of a "fishy" flavor. (yes fish sauce in kimchi but this was leaning towards "bait") My wife would order the Greek Life bowl if we went back. 7/10 The menu (and even the components of the other entrees) left VERY little for me to build or edit out to make a whole food plant based, healthy, or vegan-ish selection. There was a single "Vegan" entry called the Vegan Bun Cha. Its based what has been regarded as not the best highly processed foodstuff, but I know what it is and I am not eating much of it.......and it was the only option. (personally I would have preferred a bean 'meatball" or even a bean burger on the menu and not an Impossible or Beyond burger faux meat substitute. The bowl had pickled vegetables, cucumbers, carrots, peanuts, onion and sticky rice on the bottom. I think there was some cabbage possibly. The accompaniment (medley) of veggies was pretty good. The "peanut" glazed meatballs (5 quarter sized) were very sugary, had a bit of spice (that was fine by me) and the cooked glaze was almost charred/burnt and gritty. They were more of a garnish than the main. Was not a fan even with my own preconceived feelings about impossible meat. Not sure what I would order if we go back?? 5/10 This a a nice neighborhood bar feel spot with lots of TV and sports going on. We were not going to "dine" we were just looking to grab a bite and "eat". My wife had one drink on special with well liquor and it was reasonably priced and good. The winter menu is definitely worth checking out. The ambience is great. Good sports bar in Sarasota. Madisyn is great also, very attentive. Service was phenomenal. The owner even came by and checked on us I loved the consideration. Make sure to try it their nachos and also their crab Rangoon shouldn't just be on the winter menu. For 11$ a burger that doesn't come with fries? No. I did order fries as an extra side item. The fries were yummy, kinda oily but well seasoned. The jalapeño ranch was bomb. The service was fine. And I know nothing of the ambiance. But I do know they probably used google stock images to market their food. Needs a healthier menu burgers are good but needs less fattening and high fat variable's

I ordered my dinner through the toast online and one of my items was there popular red velvet fried oreos. Which they were currently out of but the system didn't update quick enough to my order. And once I got in there, they had already tried fixing it by putting another replacement dessert. But unfortunately, it was a flavor my kids are picky on so the manager was very kind and gave me a few options to fix the situation.And in the end we were both pleased.I greatly appreciate the kind service.You don't get that much anymore. I hope you're doing well. I'm a regular customer at Food and Beer and have had great experiences at multiple locations. The food, drinks, and atmosphere always make for a great time! That said, I've noticed that the same music playlist is played on repeat at every location. While I enjoy good background music, hearing the same songs every visit starts to take away from the experience. I've even overheard staff expressing frustration with the repetitive playlist, which I imagine could impact their energy throughout their shifts. I wanted to share this as constructive feedback because a refreshed or rotating playlist could make a noticeable difference in keeping the atmosphere exciting and enjoyable for both guests and employees. Variety in music can help set the mood and enhance the unique vibe that makes Food and Beer such a great place to visit. This use to be the blue rooster which we loved so it was a little bitter sweet to rerun to a new restaurant with such a common name. Well it turned our opinion around with the remodeling they conducted. We sat at a booth which was high with lots of space(I'm a big guy) the bar looks great with lots of TVs around the restaurant. It's clean and vibrant. The server Selena was more than engaging. She listens to the conversation and provided great insight to what it's like in this new environment. At same time she insured we were not rushed and served our order so we could make the west coast theater in time! The hammers were excellent and the "That's Hot" margarita was excellent. Sweet photo to tots were crispy and just enough for everyone to have a few. The prices all around were very reasonable which in Sarasota you can't say any more. Got here at 220 for unlimited mimosas and was told that they stop mimosas around that time even though it says 3. That is false advertising and we waisted our time. I was with my 6 friends (2Male Identifying, 4Female Identifying, ages 29-55) at a table in the middle of a fun conversation when we were blasted right out of our booth. It was the lowest common denominator, absolutely the most sexist, homophobic, racist, antisemitic, repugnant set I have ever been forced to hear. Man after man, with phrases like "Jewish Tunnels in New York," "Finding Anne Frank's body a second time." "Prostitutes want $150 for a blowjob." "Gay Hybrid drivers..." and these are the least offensive snippets, the rest, which is too upsetting towards women to put in this yelp review, I won't list. At an open mic with music, you expect to see an intermediate level guitarist who can play a standard 12-bar blues, or at least have a chord progression practiced enough to present to an audience. An amateur poet who has at one time READ poetry. A freestyle rapper with some experience freestyle rapping. These open mic "performers" demonstrated the only qualification to perform at Food + Beer was to hold a microphone, be a registered vertebrate and breathe mouth sounds resembling English for several painful minutes, then hand the microphone back to the host without further devolving from a cro-magnon.
