On July 9 2026, I had a terrible experience with Alvin's Plumbing and Heating LLC. Before scheduling, I called to ask about their diagnostic fees to estimate a under-sink filter leak repair. A representative told me it would cost $60 to send a technician, who would then give me a price estimate. However, when the technicians arrived, they never mentioned a hidden baseline fee of $195 just to touch the plumbing. One technician immediately began working without providing an upfront estimate. He cut one inch of a small 1/4" plastic pipe, which fixed the leak. When I asked for the total, he revealed the $195 charge. I was outraged by this hidden fee. Since he was already there, I asked about replacing a bathroom faucet. I explicitly asked if the $195 would be separate or if it would roll into the cost of the new job. They told me, "No, the $195 is going to roll into the cost of the additional job." The office quoted a total price of $225. I agreed to this. After the work was done, they wanted charge my credit card $420 ($195 + $225), completely going back on their word. I requested the manager's number to dispute this overcharge, but the owner refused to honor the agreed upon price. Despite multiple phone calls, I have not received a refund. This company uses misleading sales tactics, hides fees until the work is done, and takes advantage of old citizens. I am submitting an official complaint with Better Business Bureau

When the new tank was installed another guy "G" was called who is a carpenter re installed the cabinets, flooring, trim and fridge. My kitchen looks as if it was never touched. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. In December 2025, the city notified me that part of Glasco's electrical installation did not meet code requirements. Glasco had to return and correct its own installation. More recently, I discovered water beneath my HVAC unit and scheduled a service call. Before the technician arrived, I called Glasco because the scheduling system mentioned a possible $119 service fee. I specifically asked whether I would be charged, and John assured me--twice--that my labor warranty was active through September 2027 and that I would not owe the fee. After the technician inspected the system (and could not determine the exact cause of the water), I was told I had to pay the $119. The technician and I called John together, and he admitted he had "misspoke" because he hadn't checked my account before giving me that information. Glasco then claimed my labor warranty had been voided because I had not completed annual maintenance. I was never clearly informed that annual maintenance was required to keep the labor warranty active, and I never received any reminder by phone, email, text, or mail. Even when Glasco returned to correct its own code-related installation issue, no one mentioned my warranty was at risk. To avoid losing warranty coverage on a $15,400 system, I felt I had no choice but to pay $275 for an air-conditioning maintenance service and schedule another paid heating maintenance appointment for September. I paid only to protect my warranty--not because I agreed with Glasco's position. A company should stand behind its workmanship and honor the information its employees provide to customers. Instead, I experienced a code violation, inconsistent communication, and pressure to purchase additional services after an employee admitted giving me incorrect information. I hope Glasco resolves this matter by refunding the maintenance charges, honoring the warranty they represented to me, and improving their communication of warranty requirements to future customers.

They came quickly ($120 diagnostic fee) and the technician determined that I needed a new capacitor. The quote for this repair was $750. After consulting AI, I found the capacitor for about $20 and was able to replace it myself in 15 minutes. So I felt that the proposed charge of $750 was no where near appropriate.
