Changes that took place from my last visit. The location moved slightly and they did not bring over the kitchen I was told. Hence, no food offered here but you can bring outside food in while you have a beer or two here. Also, there is something going on with their AC or lack of AC, everyone in the place was either sweating or uncomfortably hot. They had some intersting beer selections including a English Style Pale Ale, ESB or extra special bitter. I enjoyed the beer and like the fact they have hand pulled beers, cask beers, two different Saisons. It looks like this is a good local hang out in the Ambler area if you are strictly coming for a beer or two to hang out with coworkers however the no kitchen, no AC or lack of AC, are deal breakers for me. As always people SYOY!!!

This review is for their new location a few blocks away from their other spot. First impression was that this place was very clean - loved the barrels and furniture and the wood with black accents. Good amount on tap including several hand pump pours. The guy serving us was incredibly friendly and offered us to taste anything before we bought - we ended up with pours of their BBA saisons and hand pump pours, and took some cans and bottles to go. Chatted up with some locals, and will definitely be back in next time we're in the area. Also, you can bring in your own food! Very good prices as well.

By far my favorite brewery in Ambler! The bartenders are knowledgeable and awesome service! Recommend it to all!

Located at the intersection of Forest and Main in Ambler, PA.

A friend at work suggested this small place to us, so my boyfriend and I thought we'd give it a try. It looks as if Forest and Main used to be a house and then was converted into a brewery and restaurant, which is both cool and troublesome. The place was tiny, and the bar area had a lack of seating for sure. Upon approaching the bar and asking for a menu and beer list, the bartender waited a couple of minutes and then with a huge attitude asked for our IDs. Now I 100% understand that it is the law to be IDed if you look under a certain age, but it has never been asked of me so rudely. I was very much taken aback and we actually almost left right then and there. We stayed for one beer a piece, the Legs that are Pants and the Mind Flags and snacked on the Poutine made with beef gravy made from stout, which was very good. Overall an okay place to spend a rainy evening, but not much more than that. Seating was lax and I was really turned off by the tone in which the bartender asked for our ID's. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that impression has stuck with me very much so. Maybe next time we'll avoid the bar altogether and just get some bites in the other room. The seating outside looked cute as well if the weather was nice.

Had a great time here! We brought our friends who are truly beer aficionados and they were very impressed. The bartender was very personable and friendly. I don't drink so I ordered the French Pressed coffee. Beautiful presentation and I got an education on how to use this contraption too. Yes, I admitted it- I'm not sophisticated. The restaurant is a converted home with a very unique charm and feel. I like the porch, bar areaand dining area too. The chairs in the dining room look vintage and they're mismatched but it totally works. The interior is rustic and charming. I have not ordered any food from this establishment. Personally I don't find the menu terribly appealing. It's very expensive and very limited. I overheard a patron order a burger to go- seriously?! That's way too expensive in my opinion. If you enjoy fine craft beer then this might be a good place to try! Treat yourself to a growler. When we were there it was a lovely day and young parents with kids were enjoying their brews at the outside picnic tables.

I've been to Forest & Main several times but finally getting around to reviewing it. Each experience has been different so it's really hard to give a rating...I've been there and felt solid 5 stars and the next visit was barely a 1. My most recent visit was a 4 so that's what I'm going with. I've been coming here for about 9 months and the menu has changed a few times in that timeframe. They used to have a delicious and huge Greek salad that disappeared. They've also heavily modified their appetizers and gotten rid of some of my favorites like the pickled veggies, mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. This visit we got the F&M burger which is a staple on their menu and the gritty wings (new item). The burger was good, not great. The wings however were amazing...crunchy, spicy, full of flavor. I hope they stay on the menu. I don't drink beer so I can't speak to the taste of that. They use boardroom gin and it's delicious and smooth. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Prices are reasonable.

This is the coolest place in Ambler. The menu is a crowd pleaser with some adventurous options along with some American favorites. I recommend the Croque Madame. It's between two pieces of thick toasted bread -- the bottom piece almost turns into stuffing from the pork juices while the top piece adds some crunch. I'm definitely getting this again. My girlfriend got the Fish & Chips and said it was lacking flavor, I agreed. The fries were good! Don't get the cheese plate. I spent $15 on 3 ounces of cheese that I could get at the grocery store. It came with bread and pickled vegetables. Meh. The bar feels like you're hanging out in someone's living room. It's small, but that works because it feels lively with only a small group there. The seating in some of the rooms is well organized to fit a variety of group sizes. The décor is antiquey and looks like something out of a Mumford & Sons video. The porch is my favorite part and brings together the whole "I'm just hanging out at a friend's house" vibe. Grab a beer, acoustic guitar and stay awhile. I enjoyed all the beers I tried. I'm no beer expert, but it seemed like the beers are only naturally carbonated. This is fine for most beer lovers, but it may be off-putting for a non-beer snob. I do see room for improvement. Besides a few beer glasses filled with hops and barley and kegs in a bathtub, the feel that you're at a brewery isn't front and center. If they offer beer flights, it wasn't apparent to me. People that come here to try the beers don't have many options for appetizers / small plates / shareables. In my option, the menu could benefit from an additional page of small shareable dishes. The popcorn just ain't cutting it.

This place is awesome! Three beers on cask?! Trivia night?! BACON POPCORN?!?! Yes. This fabulous brewery is located in an old, renovated house, so there are different rooms to gather and socialize. The bar is quaint, but on a Thursday night, it was comfortable and relaxed. We walked into a game of trivia already in progress, but we still played. It was super fun. The beers were hit or miss, our favorites being "My other arm is a Bird" and "Blue Monday".

Toad in the hole. Very good and filling!

I tried most of the beers here and didn't like any. Over priced. There's plenty of better places to try in Ambler.

Had a couple NEIPAs while at Ambler's Art Fest and did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name but it was really good.

Can you purchase beer in cans here or is this just a brewpub?

You can purchase cans at their location right next door and at the farmers market at the Ambler train station on Saturday mornings.

An easy choice for a laid back afternoon in King of Prussia. We stopped into Workhorse Brewing Company for a Saturday lunch and walked away genuinely impressed. The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Though a slight miss for the buffalo chicken cheeseteak, as it was dry and under seasoned. Overall, Workhorse is a great place to spend an afternoon. Whether you are meeting friends, bringing a group or even showing up with kids in tow, it delivers on drinks, food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

The large bar and dining areas will easily hold huge crowd Sadly our visit here will probably be our last. The vibe here is most definitely millennial driven. No menus - digital code to directly order from completely eliminating the need for wait staff. You order online pay online and your food is brought out. Plates, utensils, and water are all self service. If you want to sample some more beers. You must order them through the app as well. This discouraged us from ordering more than we would have had there been an actual waiter/waitress. The lack of personal interaction was disheartening. The food was decent but nothing exceptional as we sampled the wings. Buffalo chicken egg rolls and cheese steak. We would have opted to order some desert "bombs" as well but again, the lack of wait staff had us reluctant to splurge. From what we could see the venue offers lots to do with corn hole, bingo nights, live music and more but we came on a weeknight with nothing going on. I would think if we came on an event night we may have had a different experience. Granting stars for the cleanliness, possible potential for live music, the edibility of the food but for us it's a one and done.
