Dr. Sheena Dadkhah recently did a surgery on our dog who had a Mass Cell on the top of her head!…read moreGranted it was no cancerous, there was a little to much urgency into surgery as the mass cell was diminishing from the anti-inflammatories she was given. As a result of the surgery, our dog now has facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) paralysis! This was a simple surgery, and now our loving dog has this issue to deal with! When we took her back to be checked out, as her top eyelid was not shutting, her left ear wasn't moving or her left nostril, Dr. Dadkhahs only suggestion was to get an MRI - SUPER - lets spend $6,000 for what? I'm not saying Google is a good doctor, but it was more effective in diagnosing our dog than this "vet surgeon"! Just awful pre and post care! A good vet surgeon would have waited to do surgery Vs rush rush rush - to see if the mass cell would go completely which was looking like it was. Additionally, for someone who's been to school for this type of stuff, not to identify that she has facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) paralysis is just flat out DUMB!! Not only this, but she denied that there was no issue with her surgery. RIGHT!! If your dog needs a checkup - great place - if your dog needs good care - NOT THE PLACE!

I followed Dr Retseck here from the last practice she worked at. She is caring, empathetic, and smart. While it is not necessarily inexpensive the prices are in line with similar practices.

They also follow up after appointments to see how everything's going with whichever cat I brought in. Other pluses is that staff turnover seems low so that's a sign that the employees are happy whereas some vets always seem to have different staff. I'm so glad that I started bringing my two kitties here.

A friendly staff will take down all your information and then will come get your fur baby from you at the car and bring them inside to see Dr. Estrick. Once they are inside, Dr Estrick will call you on speaker and will go thru the wellness exam. She was very thorough during the exam with my two dogs. Any questions I had, I mentioned to her and was given an explanation. I did not feel rushed at all. She took her time and made sure the dogs were healthy. Our dogs also had to get vaccines and routine bloodwork to check for heart worm. Pricing is reasonable compared to my old Vet. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming and you can tell Dr. Estrick genuinely loves her job and helping animals. Also, they are prompt when emailing results of bloodwork. I didn't have to call them to ask about the results the next day after waiting all day like my previous Vet. So far, I am very happy with my experience at Good Life Veterinary Care and highly recommend them!!

We've seen several vets at this office over the years and I felt confident with all of them. They gave my beloved cats such conscientious care while at the same time being understanding of my limited budget in the beginning. The first visit was when my oldest cat, Pete, was neutered shortly after I'd taken Pete in off the street. The vet handled an allergic reaction Pete had to anesthesia during surgery and saved his life. At every visit since, I've felt that the vets gave skillful, compassionate care to my precious boys. Pete, especially, needs this compassion because he is afraid of strangers and was terrified of going to the vet.. That changed when Pete met Alan, the dedicated office manager and vet tech. Alan is the gentlest, most compassionate tech I've ever met and Pete instantly felt comfortable with him. This week the office was closed because of the COVID surge. Pete suddenly needed a prescription for his chronic respiratory infections and also a new prescription for a special food that he'd gotten fond of after he'd tried my new kitty's food who I'd adopted when her owner had to go into a nursing home. (This new kitty doesn't even eat it, but Pete loves it!) Pete is 16 years old now and suddenly the other day he wouldn't eat anything except that food, but I was almost out of it. I've been sick with COVID myself and I couldn't run to the store and find new tasty treats for Pete. He has declined recently in general and was very skinny and two days ago, he stopped eating competely! The special food was gone! Plus, he barely touched the Fancy Feast he usually loves, and he ignored the special treats he usually likes, which I'd had delivered to my door from Woodman's. I called the office and Alan answered. Even though they're closed now, Alan immediately understood Pete's problem. He called the vet at home and had a prescription for the special food within an hour. He also prepared the antibiotics Pete needed for his respiratory infection. I was able to go pick them up at the Clinic, and then get curbside pickup from PetSmart for the special food. Thank goodness, Pete was thrilled to get his favorite food (a fiber-enhanced variety) and he ate some up. Yesterday was touch and go and I thought he might not make it. But today he's eating dry food and some puree and broth I also got at PetSmart, and he's purring, grooming himself, and climbing the furniture again. Maybe he'd caught a touch of my COVID. Anyway he's acting like his regular self again today and it's a miracle. I can't thank Alan and the doctor enough for being there for us in the middle of this pandemic. Vets are definitely essential services. Where would we be without you? Thank you all the doctors and staff at Animal Health Clinic and Happy Thanksgiving! I know I am thankful and so is Pete and his friends Elmer and Baby Girl.
