I have been bringing my Lab, Tucker, to TOPS for just over 1 1/2 years now. He's almost 10 years old and has arthritis and spondylosis. All of the doctors and entire staff are amazing! They genuinely care and take their time to make both pet and owner feel comfortable and at ease with every treatment. Tucker has done hydro therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, and piezo wave therapy. Each different treatment has been helpful for his pain management and in keeping him mobile. Dr. Deanne is Tucker's main doctor, and she is awesome! She takes the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. She, and all of the doctors, have been truly wonderful and have provided ongoing feedback and suggestions on how best to adjust Tucker's treatments based on how he's responding and as his needs change. I am thankful to have found such a caring group of doctors and staff at TOPS! Tucker loves them too. He whines (it's a happy cry ) when he walks through the door! read more

Animal had spondylosis and trouble getting around from pain. Referred by our vet. One exam and they put her into a Walkabout I had never heard of before followed by one treatment with acupuncture the dog absolutely enjoyed, and the dog was fine for the rest of her life. I've been coming here with my senior lab mix since he tore an ACL in 2016. He's 13 now and in excellent shape with almost normal mobilty. He runs around like a puppy most days. Our dog is able to walk again thanks to the wonderful staff at TOPS. We brought him here after surgery for a ruptured cervical disc. All four legs were paralyzed - he could barely wiggle his feet or even his tail. He had three weeks of in-patient rehab followed by several weeks of out-patient PT. Five months post surgery, he can not only walk, but run and climb stairs! We have found the staff at TOPS to be knowledgeable, accommodating and warm. They love our dog, and he loves them. He gets excited when we ask him if he wants to "go see Carrie," and runs in the door with his tail wagging. The professional expertise and service we have experienced at TOPS are first rate. As you might expect, it has not been inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for here. We are deeply grateful to the staff here for giving our dog's life back to us. I've been taking my Corso/Tosa Ozzy to TOPS since around October 2011. He could not walk when I brought him in. It was an emergency situation because he continued to get worse daily. He was so young and has just turned nine. As anyone could imagine I was a train wreck over this. After his first visit he walked out far, far better than he walked in. Ozzy LOVES going and loves the attention. He knows they're helping him and they love him too. That's a big deal for me. I have also brought my fearful Corso Molly and she sat right on Christine's lap during Ozzy's visit. I've also brought my feisty and obnoxious rat/jack Moose and they are all treated with loving care by everyone. I can't believe I read any negative reviews, that is honestly shocking to me. TOPS is fabulous and I feel like they saved Ozzy's life. My dogs are my world and only get the best treatment and this is where it's at for sure. read more

Started taking my Dogs there about 15 yrs ago. My older dog had troubles walking and because of the care received at TOPS, I believe I got another 2 years with her. My next dog had such painful elbows that traditional treatments were no longer helping. Yes, it cost some money for a treatment of pulsed signal therapy, but she was minimally lame for the next 3 years, well worth the value.. I now take my agility dogs on a regular basis for care. I have a 12 year old golden that was 20 seconds under course time last weekend and I attribute this in a large part to the wonderful caring staff at TOPS. read more

I have an 8 year old Saint Bernard/Lab mix who was experiencing lameness in her right-front shoulder. The owner of the place where I sometimes kennel her told me about Tops. They helped an older Aussie mix of hers that did agility competitions - also with shoulder problems. She was happy with her experience at Tops - she said she had a male vet, but couldn't remember his name; although she warned me that they would try and sell me the kitchen sink. She also said that the treatment her dog received her day-to-day vet could do, so if her dog had to have it again in the future, she'd take the dog to her vet instead. She went to Tops because she wanted a specialized look at her dog. I felt the same and took my dog to Tops. I met with Dr. Christine Jurek. She seemed pleasant enough, but kind of talked around me and to herself more than she talked TO me as she evaluated my dog. Without taking any x-rays, her diagnosis was that my dog was lame in her right front shoulder (you don't say) and moved better uphill then down. She then typed up an evaluation including of all her recommended treatment plans (including supplements) that she felt might ease my dog's discomfort. Treatments that would've cost me upwards of $800-$900 per week for the first 4 weeks (and then reduced from there the longer they were given to my dog). Of course the cost of each treatment was not included on the copy she gave me. I had to ask for a pen so I could write it all down. She also told me that if I bought a certain number of non-refundable treatments up front, that they could then offer me a discount on the entire package. Well, she didn't know for sure what the problem with my dog was (arthritis, tendinitis, nerve-related, etc.) and didn't know if my dog would even respond to any of them, so why would I buy a non-refundable package up front? She and another girl there also told me numerous times that they were running a sale on the packages, but I needed to sign up for them before a certain date. None of it left me with a feeling of confidence, but I wanted the best for my dog and had read good reviews on Tops, so I agreed to try acupuncture along with an injectible supplement. We did 2 acupuncture treatments and unfortunately, they seemed to only worsen my dog's symptoms (good thing I didn't purchase that non-refundable package). From there I we went to cold laser therapy, which seemed to help slightly. Dr. Christine administered the 1st treatment only. A very nice technician took over after that. Dr. Christine never came to check on how my dog was doing while getting those except once and only because the technician went and asked her to stop in because I had some questions. If that's normal procedure at Tops, I was not made aware of it. I was also having to bring my dog to Tops to get the supplement injections. After about the 4th one, I asked the technician if I could give the injections myself at home instead of running up there all of the time. She said yes. So why wouldn't they have told me that in the first place? I also discovered that, while Tops was charging me $120 per injection, I could get an entire vile of the supplement for $80 from my dog's regular vet. There are 2 injections per vile, so that's $40 per injection vs. Tops' $120. When I confronted them about it, the technician told me that the $120 was their cost - "it's right in the computer here." I called 2 other vets to compare costs and there was still a very large disparity between them and Tops. Also, when I first contacted Tops to get information from them, the gentleman I talked to told me that they get referrals from my regular vet all of the time, which made me feel good. When i finally quit going to Tops and took my dog to my regular vet, my vet was surprised at that bit of info - she told me they only refer maybe 1 patient a year to Tops. The nail in the coffin that made me decide to write this review was today, when I received a call from a technician I didn't know on behalf of Dr. Christine Jurek, who said Dr. Christine wanted to know how my dog was doing. The last time I had my dog to Tops for a treatment was back in February. It's now August. I actually cancelled my last appointment at Tops in February without explanation and it took Dr. Christine almost 6 months to realize it and/or to follow up. Then she couldn't even be bothered to do it herself. The money I spent going to Tops was a colossal waste of time. Do I think that the work they do could be beneficial for specific cases like major trauma or surgery? Yes. But be prepared to pay above and beyond what I would consider a fair profit. And personally, I would not trust my dog's healthcare to Dr. Jurek. It may have been just a simple personality difference, but her communication skills were lacking to say the least, as well as what seemed to be a genuine lack of interest. read more
