Dr, Truong is excellent and their new 3 D x-ray shows so much detail of my old neck bones and signs of calcification. They understood why I had problems doing deadlifts because my neck was out of adjustment. Gave me a couple of adjustments (I call them whacks) to my neck which should help with my back. I have used them for years but quit when I was always in adjustment but several years later I am in need of their services again. Very happy with their expertise and professionalism. I recommend this place 100%. When I got to the office I was disoriented and I thought it was another doctor like the others who promised me they would cure me.Making me waste a lot of money.But after Dr. Forest talked about my neck and showed me the neck scans, it all made sense. I was in pain every day and got to the point of not being able to do any physical activity because the pain would get worse every time I tried. As well as having other symptoms due to the concussion and whiplash I had. Dr. Forest, Dr. Francis, Dr. Grey, and Dr. Crocks are doctors who are honest with you and tell you if they can help you so you don't waste your money. I have been in treatment for a year and six months and I can say I already feel normal although I continue to have regular checkups. At first I thought my cure was not possible, it was hard to believe that all the symptoms I felt would one day go away. But now I can say that it was possible. (Short version: A friend referred me here for pain in my left shoulder/neck. She had good results after one year of treatments. I experienced numbness along my right forehead/temple and cramping in my right hand the first night after my first adjustment last week. I pushed out the second appointment to a later date because I was concerned about these side effects. I was told these were "normal" from the adjustment. When I went for my second appointment yesterday, no adjustment was performed because my first "adjustment held up," but I was still charged for the visit. Nothing was mentioned about the numbness and cramping I experienced from the first adjustment. Dr. Forest rushed out of the room after giving me a spiel as to why I should continue with upper cervical care. I thought there would be an adjustment after the talk, and didn't realize the appointment was over. All I wanted was a believable reason why I didn't get an adjustment ie tell me you want to wait because the symptoms I experienced were not normal or look after my best interest and tell me to stop this form of therapy. Don't tell me my first adjustment has held up when I don't feel better, and when you did no testing during my second visit to prove that. Don't make me come in to pay you $70 to tell me how great upper cervical care is.) I was referred here from a friend that experienced relief from her treatment. I want to share my experience in case it may save someone else time and money. I only had 3 appointments, but have cancelled the rest of my visits because I'm uncomfortable proceeding after yesterday's visit. If you are considering investing into upper cervical chiropractic at this office, just be aware that the initial visit is $410. If you decide not to continue with treatment, it would be a big waste of money. Dr. Forest is very personable and seems very knowledgeable. I had a great first consultation with him, and he recommended that I see him twice a week for three weeks then once a week thereafter ($70 per visit). After the first adjustment early last week, I experienced cramping in my right hand and numbness along the right side of my forehead and down my right temple (I went in because of left shoulder pain). I cancelled the second appointment with Dr. Forest for later that week because I was scared of the new symptoms after the first adjustment (I did not have any numbness anywhere prior to my first adjustment). Plus, my orthopedic surgeon was adamantly opposed to chiropractic care so I was rethinking whether or not I wanted to continue care. The numbness and cramping symptoms went away so I went in yesterday for my second visit (what I thought was supposed to be my second adjustment). I figured I needed a few more visits to see if upper cervical care was going to help me, plus I had already invested $480 into this. So I was willing to have another adjustment done despite the fact that I didn't feel better after the first adjustment, and the scary side effects I experienced. No adjustment was done yesterday because "my adjustment held up" from last week, but I was still charged $70. The office visit consisted of the doctor explaining why I should continue with upper cervical care. So really, the reason for the low rating is because I feel that there's a lack of full disclosure here. I believe that I did not have an adjustment yesterday because of the symptoms of numbness and cramping that the first adjustment brought on. The numbness and cramping were brushed off as "normal" side effects from the adjustment and not addressed further. However, the symptoms must be of concern since the doctor obviously was uncomfortable adjusting me a second time. I was expecting an adjustment especially since the heat map showed worsening inflammation in my neck and shoulder area (more red) compared to my initial consultation. Dr. Forest didn't even bring up the heat map results since he knew they were worse (I just saw the result on the screen and fully remember what my initial one looked like -- the areas that were red were orange two weeks ago). I really wished Dr. Forest would have told me that there would be no adjustment during my appointment before he left the room hurriedly since I would have liked the opportunity to discuss why he wasn't adjusting me ie should I be concerned about the side effects I experienced? I called the office once I got home to cancel all future appointments and to request Dr. Forest's e-mail so he could give me an honest explanation as to what was going on. The front desk staff would not give me Dr. Forest's e-mail and didn't offer any other way for me to speak with him (I refuse to pay another $70 to schedule another visit to discuss this). I welcome any comments/feedback from Dr. Forest's office regarding this (and no, this is not a request for a refund, just a request for you to be up front about my care). What a huge waste of time, expense and effort. Forest Chiropractic does not take insurance. They took my money and did not help me. Blair Chiropractic is not a type of chiro you want to start (manually adjusting your brain stem) and have them unavailable for follow up. This place does not value it's patients (it's how you care for them) and lacks a way to improve itself. The front desk is unprofessional and made getting in for a weekly appointment a huge drag. They wrote my appointments on a card and when I'd go in for my scheduled appointments, MAGICALLY erased from the book. I would go early and they would see ten other patients ahead of me, who showed up after me and whose appointments were scheduled after mine. They publicly gossip about all patients after they leave. Hide charts to make patients wait additional time and play all kinds of nonsense games. Dysfunctional family politics, laced with hostility, discrimination and disrespect. After the second time my appointment was erased from the schedule and being made to wait over an hour after my appointment time, and STILL was not able to see the doctor, I phoned the office afterwards to inquire how to make future appointments go smoother. I am not kidding, they passed me around to speak to four different staff members, three of them played power games, refused to provide basic info, were hostile or actually hung up on me. Apparently the wife told the Dr. "a story" because I didn't just disappear. I was told previously by front desk "He doesn't talk to patients on the phone. You will have to speak with his Wife." I was able to finally speak with Dr. Forest and he realized he had not heard my side. After doing so, he admitted, kindly perhaps, that this happened to several other patents beside me, but that his office was not going to change. read more

I can't believe there aren't more reviews for Dr. Forest! This guy fixed chronic neck pain I'd been dealing with for YEARS. Conventional chiro didn't help -- just gave very short-term relief, sometimes only a day or two. I had found excellent massage therapists that helped with aches elsewhere, but no one could fix whatever problem was plaguing me in my neck. Of course, a lot of massage therapists are afraid to work the neck at all, but even a really good muscle therapist who specializes in sports injuries tackled it bravely, and I got some relief, but nothing lasting. I tried Dr. Forest almost as a last resort ... and boy am I glad I did! The big caveat is that his treatment won't help if misalignment in the cervical vertebrae isn't the source of your pain. In my case it was, so Dr. Forest worked wonders. After my first visit, I felt so good it was almost like I was high. After a few weeks, the relief lasted longer and longer, and that allowed all the tightness and inflammation that had spread out from the neck into my shoulders and upper back to gradually recede, too. Here's why upper cervical works: the chiropractor applies pressure from the side, pushing the vertebra back into place like a stack of dinner plates with one plate sticking out. Conventional chiropractic tries to re-align the neck by twisting the whole head, but this doesn't get the offending vertebra all the way back into place, because vertebrae above and below it are twisted, too. So, not enough force is placed on the problem one. It's that simple. Simple, but so effective. I feel better now than I have in 10 years. Chronic headaches -- gone. Chronic shoulder and back pain -- gone. I still go in once every 2 to 4 weeks for a tuneup, but that's still a hundred times better than traditional chiropractic care where I was going in 3 times a week and not seeing any progress at all. Like I said, upper cervical isn't magic, and it won't cure what it's not designed to cure. But if a permanently out-of-alignment neck vertebra is the source of your pain, it WILL give you relief. 20 years ago I suffered from headaches, insomnia, depression, nausea, swollen shut sinuses, fatigue, cognitive fog etc. etc. I visited five medical offices, had MRI's, blood testes, neurological tests, chest x-rays, and other tests which were all negative. Eventually I was told that my health issues were all in my head and told I needed to see a psychiatrist. Eventually I realized that I had to search outside of the medical model to find an answer. Easy to schedule. Nice front office. Had to pay them in cash. Hmmm... turns out they are not in my UHC network. Wish I had known that. I would have argued down the prices for their procedures, maybe... expensive. The tremendous number of X-rays taken were.... excessive?... Hard to say. I took their films to my Cervical spine surgeon and he told me there was nothing on the films to suggest any Chiropractic work would be beneficial. I went back and told Dr Truong what the Dr said and... surprisingly that day he said, "you don't need an adjustment today". Ok, then why did I still have to pay $80 in cash? That was my last visit. I have received more relief from myofascial release and trigger point therapy. did I get relief from my two adjustments? Some, maybe.... but it might have been due to my own personal massage and stretches I'd been doing for many years... it was an on again off again thing that had gotten bad. I finally had an MRI and a neural surgeon said I have no Arthritis in my cervical spine... that my issues must be dealt with using other techniques after a nerve conduction study, etc.... but certainly no Chiro adjustments. My suspicion is that everyone past the age of 40 will show disc issues that can be "adjusted"... and many, many people get relief from adjustments from this office. That is wonderful. They have a great reputation that seems well deserved. I would just say this... if you really have spinal issues then see an Orthopedic Surgeon, get an X-ray and MRI if needed and discuss all options, to included therapies other than Chiro. Many spinal issues have their root causes away from the spine, I have learned. Consider all your options before paying cash to someone. Use Chiro and this office if your cervical issues can't be treated properly by other, less invasive/violent methods. Chiro is great when it works.... if it works and doesn't cause more issues. Dr. Troung is so pleasant and does really gentle adjustments. I was a patient years ago and was discharged after a year+ with excellent results.(All vertibrae holding for 6 month's.) Appqrenty my 2 (first and second vertibrae) hqve slipped,. Dr. Troung did a adjustment and I have to go back in a week to see if they are holding. I was told about Dr Forest's Chiropractic when I went to Physical Therapy there in Pleasanton. He does a very through x- ray system that he did on my first visit. Many 3-D images etc. etc. My entire body was lopsided. He has scales that he weigh's you, one foot on each scale to see how your weight is distrebuted. I was 70 lbs on one side and 50 lb.s on the other. He does only Cervical spine. The only Doctor that I saw was Dr. Troung. I am a 85 year old Nurse. read more

I want to give five stars to the doctors Unfortunately we stopped seeing these fabulous doctors because I was tired of the games that the front desk plays with the patients. Dr Forests wife, Chris, runs the front office. Since she is afraid of learning about computers, she uses a date book where your appointment are penciled in. ( not always accurately) My family have been seen by in this office for many years. I also have quite a few friends that are patients. I have left this office on several occasions in tears due to the way Chris has treated me and my family. I am not alone. She either comes off to patients as their best friend or she completely ignores you. I am a very polite and friendly person which seems to turn her off. I came in early for one appointment and the assistant doctor said come on in cuz there was no one in the waiting room. Chris took my file and said ,"no, she's early so she will have to wait!" One time they had an opening and I was on a waiting list. I was on the way to see Dr Forests brother when I got a call and there was an appointment available. I told her where I was and said that I'd take the appointment. Once I was there I waited 90 minutes. When I checked out she said, " you are the reason all these people had to wait!" I was baffled. One of the other patients went outside to check on me. I told him that I was there to get my child well or I wouldn't put up with this abuse. He went back in the office and told them off. He told me that he would never walk in that building again. You can't complain to the dr cuz the poor guy is married to her! read more

I was lucky enough to stumble upon Forest Chiropractic several years ago for a job. I didn't really believe in Chiropractic treatment let alone that this specific type even existed. This was just going to be a part time job. They gave me the video to watch, the one they give to every new patient, to understand what they do and the impact it has on those who seek treatment. I watched the video and immediately thought two things; 1. IT JUST MAKES SENSE! The whole process is broken down and explained thoroughly. And 2. I hope I get this job because I want to be part of this. Over time I would see new patients come in for various reasons and a lot of the time as a last resort (they didn't believe either). Patients ranged in age from newborn infants to elderly. And I have to say you can't always change someone's mind. But those who followed the schedule set by Dr. Forest saw results. The truly non-believers couldn't sing his praises enough, finally getting the relief they never thought they would have again. As for me personally, I had been in several fender benders and had all of the usual childhood falls. I just got used to cracking my neck & having a "floating knot", as well as having chronic lower back pain. After following a schedule set for me that led into doing exercises and a list of do's and don'ts, I can't believe I ever thought I had to live the way I had. And no, you can't just go until you're "fixed". I mean, you can but think of it this way - do you just put oil in your car once and expect it to keep running the way you want it to, FOREVER? One word, maintenance. The practice is in a charming little house converted into an office and The Forests are lovely people. But you know what, that's just a perk. Sometimes the wait is long, and no, he doesn't think his time is more important than yours. Dr. Forest takes the time to explain what's happening in your body and exactly what your limitations are upon being adjusted. And sometimes you're not adjusted and yes you still have to pay for your appointment. This is not a "trick" to get your money. You need to be monitored to see how you're doing. While it is a business, I believe Dr. Forest chose this business because he wants to help people. Dr. Forest has worked long hard hours, often missing his lunch to see people in need. That isn't someone who doesn't truly care about others. So for those who decided they didn't want to continue to see him because they couldn't wrap their head around it, it's too bad but you couldn't be further from the truth if you think he isn't THE MOST HONEST person ever. He has since brought on an associate, Dr. Truong. While he's no Dr. Forest, that mold has long been broken; he is an equally caring and knowledgeable chiropractor. Great doctor and chiropractor. He makes a specific correction to the atlas that resolves so many issues in the body. From my sore feet, to lower back pain, to headaches. Who knew that the atlas "pinching" on nerves could affect so much of your body. I began working with Forest Chiropractic 3 years ago. I was due to have surgery on my Achilles due to a bone spur, additionally I was experiencing numbness in my hands from many years of repetitive construction work. At the time I was skeptical that seeing a chiropractor would net any positive results. I am happy to share that after working with the team at Forest Chiropractic I cancelled my surgery on my Achilles, the pain I was experiencing from this injury went away. Additionally, the numbness in my hands has disappeared as well. I was able to resume running again as well as continue to work with my hands. I feel extremely lucky to have ignored my misgivings and kept my initial appointment. I have been going to Dr. Forest for almost 25 years, so it goes without saying I am very happy with the care I receive from him. I had been to other chiropractors before Dr. Forest and the standard practice was to have me come in for adjustments 3x per week for at least a month and then ween down to twice a week etc. At this office the most I've been scheduled for is once a week and the process to get and stay in adjustment is much quicker and less time consuming. When I've had problems that he felt he couldn't help, Dr Forest would recommend I see the type of doctor that could. I have never had a problem with the front office! Dr. Forest is the best!! I have been going to him for years now. Im 24 years old and have I got in 2 automobile accidents and then fractured a few vertebraes in a soccer tournament from being slide tackled. I had problems with headaches, my arms & hands going numb for a many years. No other chiropractor could help me especially by twisting my neck around. Dr. Forest and the Blane method has a logical philosophy and is done with physical measurements and controlled adjustments. The improvements with my neck are amazing. THe recovery period was just as Dr. Forest stated it would be. The logic behind the brain acting as our body's computer makes total sense. Once the pain was alleviated, the muscle memory took over. I have been fine for years! Everyone working there was very nice and professional. Although they don't bill your insurance, they provided all the necessary information on one document that I could easily submit to my insurance company. When I traveled, Dr. Forest provided me with a wallet card with my specific measurements that I could give to any other Blane chiropractor in the event I was traveling and needed an adjustment. I do have arthritis in my neck which can't be fixed but I don't need follow up treatment too often. I was in Florida and had an adjustment made with the same, precise method.
