It was busy without seeming crowded. The space was spacious, well decorated, unique and made good use of space. The bathrooms downstairs were artsy and in good taste! Menu was kind of limited but I have a feeling they try new things all the time so it was exciting to pick from. Too bad they ran out of some things when we went. I ordered the fried chicken dish which was fried to perfection, well seasoned and paired interestingly with pickled veggies. The portion was tiny but on par with something I would expect in a place like this. I also ordered 2 oysters for $9 which were the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. Sure, they were good but I would not get them again. My girlfriend ordered a canned non-alcoholic drink for $6 (way too expensive for a soda!) and the brussell sprouts. They were good but there was only 4 of them! Our server gave off a "I'm too cool for this gig" and dismissed my order when I asked for the chicken. He recommended the lamb which uh, was almost 3x as expensive as the chicken and not something I wanted as a light late dinner after a show... My friend's SIL worked here so she was warm, welcoming and gave us a great seat. So yeah, it's not the best restaurant in Cleveland or anything but there is something to the hype and if I do get the chance, the brunch looks amazing!

We agreed that Dar Alyemen has the best middle eastern food we've found so far! The inside space is average - not good or bad. They have a prayer room for Muslim customers which I think is great. They do have a very nice patio with several types tables - I think one type was a rocking chair table. It would be nice on a good day but it was storming when we went. The service was fine - there was just one guy who was working in the dining area and there was only one other table occupied when we were there. The wait for the food wasn't very long. We shared the a half chicken mandi, beef shish kabob, and baba ghanoush with pita. The chicken mandi was delicious. The chicken was so flavorful and tender - fell off the bone. It was on a bed of yellow rice with chunky stewed vegetables. It was perfectly seasoned. We also shared the beef shish kabob that was grilled to perfection - the perfect amount of seasoning and char and was so juicy! Lastly, we shared the baba ghanoush with the biggest pita I've ever eaten. The pita was so yummy - they brought it to us fresh out of the oven! The baba was so creamy and smoky - it had the perfect balance of flavors. They had some desserts but we were too full to try them. I will definitely be returning to try some other delicious dishes!

We ordered the mixed grilled platter with rice, the haneeth lamb with rice and the Zubaidi fish with the bread. All of the dishes were amazing with unique flavors. We started with a soup and salad which truly hit the spot. They also served sahawa (? Spelling) with the food, which complimented all the dishes and bread perfectly! Service: the service is thoughtful and friendly! Ambience: was clean and minimal. Would I recommend and return? Without a doubt!!! Run, don't walk, to check out this place if you haven't already! Ps: I only managed two photos bc the food looked so good that it was all done by the time I remembered to take photos of the other dishes.

Outstanding choice for dining in Cleveland. If you are looking for a quintessential Cleveland…read moreexperience, this is it. The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. If you are in The Land, you must drop everything you are doing to get to the Rowley Inn. It is a 8 minute drive from downtown.

I mean, plus... There's a pretty famous house across the street. I waited a few moments longer than I would have liked for the hostess to seat me, ultimately choosing a two top behind a pillar toward the back. This may have been a mistake... As service waned throughout my meal. The bacon wrapped tots are a MUST TRY. Fantastic! The steak frites was also very good. I've been to nice steak joints that don't know how to cook a steak medium that consistently throughout. My initial water glass was cracked, and a decent chip in the top almost cut my lip. I brought it to the servers attention and she replaced it. And, I also ordered an Arnold Palmer, which never came. Had it not been for those oversights, it may have been a five star review, which is a definite rarity for me when I've tried "Triple-D" locations. Usually I leave disappointed. Y'all, it's an old school bar vibe. Divey. Loved it! Very cool ambiance. So glad I went. It may have been a little loud, honestly...but it is a bar...and I'm getting old! Hahaha!
