From the moment our party of four walked through the door, we were greeted with such a warm, genuine welcome that we immediately felt like long-time regulars. The customer service from every single member of the staff was truly top-notch. The hostess offered fantastic recommendations. Place is very small and crowded tables on top of each other, took close to a hour to get our meals, very noisy, 5 for dinner, salads were fair, 4 people found their meals to be very good, sorry to say I had veal parm, very large order of veal, but on par with what you would get at Olive Garden, Mine was only complaint, every one else in our party said their meals were very good, reasonable prices. servers were very pleasant read more

Every time I eat at Bruno's I say "this is so good" about 15 times. I went for dinner with friends last week and we all split the gnocchi with meatballs and a lasagne. I also got cannolis to go. Everything was excellent as always. From the bread with garlic butter to the side salad, everything was perfect. I didn't even get to take a picture of my lasagna because I ate it the second it hit the table. The staff is so sweet and we had the pleasure of having Martha as our server. She was so attentive and lovely. The vibe is a family restaurant in the best way. It's friendly, not too loud, warm, casual and comfortable. Cannot recommend Bruno's enough. I enjoyed the Pollo Limonese (Lemon Chicken) this time and it was delicious, perfectly lemony!!! It came with Italian wedding soup (or a salad if you want) and a side of noodles with the house red sauce!! My friends both enjoyed the Gamberi Con Aglio Olio E Pepperoni, which is shrimp sautéed in garlic and olive oil with roasted red peppers over home-made pasta!! The lemon chicken is one of the best dishes I have had, and no one seems to get it right, but Bruno's does!! Not overpowering with the lemon and everything blends well, and is a favorite dinner entree. Don't miss the lasagna, as it too, is more than filling, as they said, has to be the best in Cleveland. Lasagna is one of those things you CAN make, but is labor intensive, yet Bruno's hits every detail and ingredient, like "mama" made!! Service is attentive, and if you go, please ask for Giovanni!! He's terrific!! Has a killer smile, tasteful jewelry, and offered menu suggestions, as the menu is filled with several entrees, and it is hard to choose just ONE, which means you DEFINITELY need to come back. Not ideal for large parties unless you come early or rent out the establishment. The staff was very accommodating to our party. We enjoyed the Gnocchi, Pettini, Cleveland's Best Lasagna, Chicken Alfredo, Broccoli Agilo e Olio (broccoli over noodles, garlic and oil) and Chicken Parmesan. Stopped in on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. We received excellent service from the entire staff, everyone was very engaging and helpful. Right away we were served warm Italian bread with garlic butter, all of which I ate in approximately two minutes because it was so good. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers for an appetizer. Wow- were they amazing. The banana peppers themselves were stuffed with Italian sausage, cooked perfectly. Accompanying the banana peppers were bell peppers and onions that were sauteed with olive oil and plenty of garlic aka "Italian gold"!!! I'd highly recommend this starter although all of their options looked great. For entrees, we ordered the lasagna, voted best in Cleveland year after year, and the gnocchi in a blush sauce with two meatballs. I had previously awarded Borgata with the "best lasagna" honor, but I have to agree with the city of Cleveland on this one. Words cannot describe how freaking good this lasagna was. The gnocchi with meatballs was also great. I love a good tomato cream sauce, and the gnocchi were cooked perfectly. I am a self-proclaimed "meatball snob" and I thoroughly enjoyed these, however would have preferred them served in a sauce. The star of the show was the lasagna, but I'd highly recommend both entrees. The portions are huge so there was definitely enough left over for at least two more meals. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but I definitely want to come back. Spectacular first visit!!! read more

The linguine was fine, noodles a little overcooked, pizza I thought was tasty, but wow the chicken marsala was not just bad but very very wrong. It was absolutely swimming in a thin broth that tasted sweet like it was loaded with sugar? It was really bizarre and I can see at least one other review that mentioned the exact same issues from 2023, so it's incredible that the recipe has not changed since. read more

Husband was craving Italian so we decided to try some place new and Bruno's came up! I know 'we don't talk about Bruno'.. just kidding!!! ;-) It was busy for a Sunday evening actually super busy took us a while to get tables but we did and I'm glad he chose Bruno's. It's a small place with old school decor but the efficiency with which they manage is truly commendable! We had parties of 12+ to parties of 2 managed perfectly with no fault to service. The bread and butter (served complimentary) were truly setting the mood for some amazing dishes to follow. The food was not just excellent but the portion sizes are huge - be ready for leftovers and if you're not a fan of leftovers then please share a main! We ordered a calamari to start with and unaware of the portion size ordered a chicken parmigiana and chicken Alfredo. The server was kind enough to accommodate my request for spaghetti aglio e olio instead of the regular marinara spaghetti that acoompanies the parmigiana. I honestly didn't know Aglio e olio could taste so damn good!! I've had it before at other places but Bruno's tops the list. This little restaurant is absolutely amazing!! Everything is homemade & delicious. I loved everything about this place, the bread & garlic butter, the soup/salad, meatballs, veal capris, the lasagna was the best I've ever had hands down & the tiramisu also best I ever had! I visited with my two best friends and we all shared our meals so we could all try a little bit of everything! We will definitely be going back, I highly recommend this spot you will not be disappointed! Service was also wonderful, very helpful & tentative staff all around. I've heard people raving about this place so we finally booked a reservation. I was very very underwhelmed. I haven't had this bad of Italian food in years. The food was equivalent to Olive Garden. I don't understand the hype personally. You are better off going to Little Italy for sure. I also sat on a Church folding chair which was very cheap and uncomfy. There are also some interesting stains on the ceiling. I've never been to a restaurant that has folding chairs inside??? Very weird. 2/10 read more
