Every time I eat at Bruno's I say "this is so good" about 15 times. I went for dinner with friends last week and we all split the gnocchi with meatballs and a lasagne. I also got cannolis to go. Everything was excellent as always. From the bread with garlic butter to the side salad, everything was perfect. I didn't even get to take a picture of my lasagna because I ate it the second it hit the table. The staff is so sweet and we had the pleasure of having Martha as our server. She was so attentive and lovely. The vibe is a family restaurant in the best way. It's friendly, not too loud, warm, casual and comfortable. Cannot recommend Bruno's enough. I enjoyed the Pollo Limonese (Lemon Chicken) this time and it was delicious, perfectly lemony!!! It came with Italian wedding soup (or a salad if you want) and a side of noodles with the house red sauce!! My friends both enjoyed the Gamberi Con Aglio Olio E Pepperoni, which is shrimp sautéed in garlic and olive oil with roasted red peppers over home-made pasta!! This is a well known spot for the locals!! Please make a reservation or you'll be out in the cold like I was w/ my party of 6. Please be aware that this place is intimately small. Not ideal for large parties unless you come early or rent out the establishment. The staff was very accommodating to our party. We enjoyed the Gnocchi, Pettini, Cleveland's Best Lasagna, Chicken Alfredo, Broccoli Agilo e Olio (broccoli over noodles, garlic and oil) and Chicken Parmesan. Stopped in on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. We received excellent service from the entire staff, everyone was very engaging and helpful. Right away we were served warm Italian bread with garlic butter, all of which I ate in approximately two minutes because it was so good. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers for an appetizer. Wow- were they amazing. The banana peppers themselves were stuffed with Italian sausage, cooked perfectly. Accompanying the banana peppers were bell peppers and onions that were sauteed with olive oil and plenty of garlic aka "Italian gold"!!! I'd highly recommend this starter although all of their options looked great. For entrees, we ordered the lasagna, voted best in Cleveland year after year, and the gnocchi in a blush sauce with two meatballs. I had previously awarded Borgata with the "best lasagna" honor, but I have to agree with the city of Cleveland on this one. Words cannot describe how freaking good this lasagna was. The gnocchi with meatballs was also great. I love a good tomato cream sauce, and the gnocchi were cooked perfectly. I am a self-proclaimed "meatball snob" and I thoroughly enjoyed these, however would have preferred them served in a sauce. The star of the show was the lasagna, but I'd highly recommend both entrees. The portions are huge so there was definitely enough left over for at least two more meals. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but I definitely want to come back. Spectacular first visit!!! read more

I've heard people raving about this place so we finally booked a reservation. I was very very underwhelmed. I haven't had this bad of Italian food in years. The food was equivalent to Olive Garden. I don't understand the hype personally. You are better off going to Little Italy for sure. I also sat on a Church folding chair which was very cheap and uncomfy. I loved everything about this place, the bread & garlic butter, the soup/salad, meatballs, veal capris, the lasagna was the best I've ever had hands down & the tiramisu also best I ever had! I visited with my two best friends and we all shared our meals so we could all try a little bit of everything! Husband was craving Italian so we decided to try some place new and Bruno's came up! I know 'we don't talk about Bruno'.. just kidding!!! ;-) It was busy for a Sunday evening actually super busy took us a while to get tables but we did and I'm glad he chose Bruno's. It's a small place with old school decor but the efficiency with which they manage is truly commendable! We had parties of 12+ to parties of 2 managed perfectly with no fault to service. The bread and butter (served complimentary) were truly setting the mood for some amazing dishes to follow. The food was not just excellent but the portion sizes are huge - be ready for leftovers and if you're not a fan of leftovers then please share a main! We ordered a calamari to start with and unaware of the portion size ordered a chicken parmigiana and chicken Alfredo. The server was kind enough to accommodate my request for spaghetti aglio e olio instead of the regular marinara spaghetti that acoompanies the parmigiana. I honestly didn't know Aglio e olio could taste so damn good!! I've had it before at other places but Bruno's tops the list. Overall love the food, highly recommend and will be visiting again atleast for Aglio e Olio! read more

This was my 2 time here we were out side , way to many flies. Food wasn't as good as last time very inconsistent.

Visited 6/28/25. I ordered Veal Saltimbocca. It was absolutely disgusting because it was swimming in sauce. And the sauce appeared to cheap oil with very little butter. The patio was blazing hot with no umbrellas. The patio was full of weeds as well. This is a very lousy neighborhood so you better park close by. What a wonderful, homey spot kinda hidden on the west side, however tables were filled so you know it's going to be good if people can find it! It reminded us of old Italian that we grew with from the Youngstown area. Tables are close in this restaurant/house so you can easily talk with and get to know people yet if you want to keep to yourself, you can still keep your own conversation unlike a loud bar/grill. Food was delicious from the bread/garlic butter to dessert! We know it's true Italian because the main plate of my husband's chicken parm was all chicken with a side bowl of pasta. We ate there tonight with a party of 10. It was horrible. Do not go there!!! We waited 2 hours for our entries. Most places would send a manager or owner to Apologize but no they sent a hostess who made it worse by insulting all of us by saying "all our food is made to order and can take up to 3 hours... this is not an Applebee's" saying this was so insulting as she keep apologizing.. We wanted our bill and took a 1/2 an hour to get out of there. ridiculous.. At no time did the manager or an owner come out and apologize. First time I visited Bruno's, we were turned away without a reservation and because of how packed it was. The second time I made sure to make one. It was packed and it seems like that's a common occurrence so it would be great if they were able to expand at some point. The bread wasn't too warm or soft. I wasn't a huge fan of the salad. Although, the entrees were big in size and tasted good. This is a literal hole in the wall place and wouldn't usually notice it unless you're paying careful attention.
