I started thinking I might race some again butter the club offered a pleasant environment to train, broaden my training to more strength and things that help in aging and Supreme was a great plane. It has all the equipment with staff to help, has good classes with a lot of interesting and friendly people, many of whom are still there a decade later. It lacks almost entirely the annoying lot loud, inconsiderate types I have seen in other places. They pricing is very competitive and I even got my non-athletic wife to work with a trainer and now she has started with it for a year and a half, which is surprising and important fitter our family as we age.

The weights on the bottom near the boxing ring are mainly free weights,pulley systems, and some machines. All the equipment are pretty close to each other but I didn't mind it. When you first walk-in there are more open racks and a small field to do tire flips or walking lunges etc. the top half is mainly machines and cardio equipment. I was able to use the treadmill and watch some boxing matches which was pretty cool! The men's bathroom/locker room was pretty standard and clean. I went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't too crowded. I was able to use any machine that I wanted to without waiting. Overall a really cool experience and well taken care of gym.

However, when I brought the same guest in a second time they said that wasn't allowed for a free pass and I was very upset about this misinformation. I brought it up to management and I do not believe anything was ever done about it. Furthermore, an out of town guest always has to pay for a guest pass which is another thing I was not told about when I signed up.

What I really like is everybody is totally comfortable with being their and working on their stuff. All body shapes, all abilities. It doesn't matter, you'll get a smile and a nod. We spent a year debating whether to join a fitness center. The local Y has disappointed us many times. While you'll get the basics here (no pool, no basketball courts) it's all most of us need. There are also fitness classes, which I'd like to try out. Gentle stretching sounds right up my alley.

Also, Orange Shoe accepts my health insurance's perk, covering up to eight of my workouts per month. Emails are answered swiftly, if I need to get in touch. the equipment is clean and in good shape. All in all a workout at Orange Shoe on Main ST. is a positive and personal experience.

I have tried other gyms that offer personal training, but have found the programs to either lack focus and flexibility or to be excessive and intimidating. The workouts at Orange Shoe are challenging but definitely doable - I have been going 3 times/week for more than 2 years, still love it, and still seeing amazing results. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable - anything but intimidating. I am not a super-athlete type by any stretch, but with the help of the trainers have accomplished far more than I thought I could - actually have my sites set on running a marathon. The facility is clean and well kept - equipment in good condition. all in all a great gym - highly recommend!

Since my arrival, they have been making great improvements and they are always thinking of ways to improve the place further (they recently added a sauna!). They are very people focused and work hard to maximize the experience of everyone who walks in the door (they take great interest in everyone they train personally and provide the help that is necessary for reaching goals). There is a lot of friendly people at the gym and it is a very safe environment for those who are nervous about getting in to lifting/exercising.

The heavyweight lifters corner still smells like the worst smell in the world you can think of. I see they have a private area for women so they don't have to endure sexism. The one week that I was in there, I had a guy look at me really weird and felt uncomfortable. It's just not the place that it was when it opened. Except for figuring your membership cost out in two minutes to be everything you've gotten in your pocket.
