To start the new year, a friend and I decided to do a 2 day juice cleanse. I've done a similar cleanse in the past, but, that time, I bought all of my own produce and juiced my own drinks.... This was WAY EASIER than that. I'm not going to sugar coat it, some of the juices were not my favorite (e.g., the celery juice and some of the other green juices). But, generally, it was a great experience! Purchasing the juice cleanse made it so easy. Some of the juices were pretty tasty and I really loved all of the little shots they give you (I could drink that morning detox shot everyday!). I didn't find myself hungry throughout the cleanse, just sort of missed eating real foods. But I came out of it less bloated and with no sugar cravings, which is a huge win! The smoothies were below average for a juice bar, and the coffee portions were smaller than expected. Prices feel high for the quality. 1st timer! Popped in to grab an "on the go" lunch. Had the Harvest Bowl w/Spicy Cashew Dressing and the upside down cheesecake. SO GOOD! That Spicy Cashew Dressing...you could put that on anything! To start, all of the staff was so friendly and kind. Stopping by Forest Greens was a great way to start my Monday morning! Ordered the soup of the day, Lentil Veggie, She's Bluffing green smoothie, and picked up a raw dessert (Twix bar) for later. They have a wide selection of soups, grain bowl type lunches, raw desserts, and bottled juices ready to go in large fridges around the main counter. You can also order fresh smoothies, acai bowls, a few other items which are more customizable. I will say that the food was a bit pricey. Paid around $32 for my order. However, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered and all the food tasted very fresh. I'll definitely be stopping by here again and look forward to trying more of the menu. read more

The girl taking my order barely said two words to me (maybe she was having a bad day, I'm not sure) but nonetheless I placed my order for a Sweet Surprise Açaí Bowl. It looked really pretty but the smoothie was so flavorless, tasted only really like banana, was watery, and not blended fully. I don't even think there was açaí in there! The granola was fantastic, though. Their website doesn't reflect the current prices. Bowls are $10.25 now, not $9 like it says on its website. A multi-weekly stop for me! Love this place! The owner AnnMarie is wonderful and so accommodating. I have some weird food allergies and she let me create my own bowl which they now keep on hand for whenever I come in. The vibe in here is sort of like a cool, trendy coffee shop with succulents on the tables and modern rustic decor. To the left of the main room, there's an area to hang out that has a cool backdrop you can pose with for a photo. They also have great healthy meal options in their fridge along with healthy desserts and protein bars. I'm also a big fan of their freezer section where you can buy frozen açai packets in case you want to add it to your smoothies at home, soups, popsicles, and all sorts of bone broths. Pricing is totally reasonable considering they use all organic and really care about the ingredients they use. Definitely recommend! read more

Hands down the best açaí bowl I've ever had. I've traveled the country for years due to work, and visit California often (where açaí bowls are everywhere). Sorry, Cali, but these folks have you beat. Portion size is excellent. The layering and flavor combinations are on point. My bowl today was the "Go Bananas" and I'm in love. The açaí wasn't overpowering, the ingredients were wonderfully balanced, and the price was very fair. This was a great afternoon snack and could easily be a healthy lunch/breakfast option if you tell them to double down on the toppings. So healthy, and sooooo delicious! I had the chance to check out this brand new juice bar this week...twice already because I am hooked! The Goodness Greens cold pressed juice with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, parsley, apple and lemon is just what I was looking for in a green juice and will try to have once a day. Also loved the smoothies especially "She's Bluffing" and "Liquid Sunshine". For breakfast I had the avocado toast which was topped with tons of avocado and a delicious sliced hard boiled farm fresh egg. But then I tried my son's "Go Bananas Bowl", and I almost died it was so good. They also carry lots of healthy grab and go snacks like chocolate energy bites, and protein bars - some I have sampled and are amazing. On top of the wonderful juices, smoothies and food, the staff is extremely friendly, and very well trained - they have only been open for a couple of days, and they have their act together. I ordered an earth bowl through Uber eats for lunch as I was craving for something fresh. I enjoyed the flavors of the roasted vegetables, but found the quinoa to be bland. Their menu boasts of some heavily flavored quinoa made with broth etc. but it didn't hit the spot at all. For a $11 bowl, I found the partial size to be quiet small. Also no sauces was provided with the bowl which could have helped mitigate some of the flavor issues. I am not sure if this was caused due to limited options when configuring the delivery or it's a cafe issue. I may still give it another chance seeing all the growing reviews. read more

I liked that we were given the option of which kind of protein powder went into our smoothies. While we were there another customer was asked if she would like to swap out/substitute one of the fruits since she couldn't have one of the items that were part of the original recipe. Three words come to mind when I think of Forest Greens: fresh, healthy and healing. I always order the Superfood Acai Bowl. I like that it's loaded with goodness and not sweet. The homemade granola that is mixed in is a treat! Their soups are delicious and I swear have healing properties! I love their veggie chicken soup. They offer hearty chili options that are equally as delicious as their soups. I usually purchase already frozen batches so I have them on hand for a convenient lunch or dinner. Extremely disappointed from this new place. The staff has no knowledge as to what they are doing . The smoothies are not tasty. Not worth the drive, time or money. I will stick to my smoothie place in Lake Forest. For this to be a new place it has a lot to learn from nutrition to quality. The acai bowl is about 10 oz and was $8.50 but yet advertised as $7.50 and no room for toppings I felt as if I was choosing a bowl from the kids menu. Never again.
