Yum yum! Had a hankering for boba and this place satisfies that need. I was in the area and went here to get a boba freeze. One of my favorite things in the world is Taro so getting a Taro freeze with boba and clear jelly sounds like heaven to me. This is exactly what I got and it was delicious! It wasn't too cold and while there was boba, it didn't overpower the drink itself and neither did the jelly. As expected, this place is overpowered by little youngins with a sweet tooth but I can't blame them. It's not like they made the wait any more longer or shorter. The customer service was good and quick, nothing to complain about. I will continue to come here when I have a boba itch. I've also tried their bingsu which was also really good but....alot. It's packed with red beans which are sweet and delicious, ice cream and fresh fruit. I know for a fact, I cannot finish it on my own so I suggest sharing it with someone else. There's never a bad time for boba! I often swing by here when I need a little treat during the day. The options are endless but they have plenty of menu suggestions to help you make a selection. My go tos are banana coconut with mango jelly or just plain avocado. They do have tons of great options but. I find myself gravitating towards those most frequently. I've been coming here for a long time and have always had a great experience, but tonight was a letdown. My friend's brown sugar boba had a strange, almost bitter taste. When we politely asked if it could be remade, the second employee we spoke to was quite dismissive, telling us, 'Really? Because we've had no complaints all day.' My husband and I came here to satisfy our late-night boba cravings, and we were pleasantly surprised by how late Liquid Fusion stays open. Another plus was the huge parking lot with tons of space. We got a mango fruit freeze and an avocado fruit freeze. The name "fruit freeze" can be a bit misleading because you might think the drinks will be icy, but ours was blended smoothly, which we prefer. I believe they used real fruit in the drinks, and the boba was bouncy. Service was standard. The cashier just did his job, nothing extra. The atmosphere was very lively but felt crowded. So we have been coming here for over a decade, started when we were in high school-- in fact, we used to trek all the way down to Glenview for the original store! This place has been the go-to place for my generation of Asian Americans. We also have seen it renovated and changed throughout the years. The wifi and password never changed and that the "smile, you are on camera" has stayed the same also. Their menu expanded a whole lot throughout the years. Some of my favorites had been Java chip with mocha, taro bubbletea (the only other place in the northern suburbs with it besides Joy Yee's in Chinatown, back in the days), and mixed fruit freezes. It's been over two years since I last got Liquid Fusion due to the pandemic, so I went with the default taro bubbletea and tapioca (can't go wrong) and a freeze for my husband and kids. Taro bubbletea with tapioca -- rich, deep purple color and taro flavor, although maybe I'm just not used to the strong taro flavor anymore, it is recognizably from milktea powders (I could be wrong). Tapioca has a caramelized toasted flavor to it and chewy but not hard. Fruit freeze with papaya, lychee, and coconut with lychee jelly-- this is a really good combo because all the fruits have faint and light fragrance so it's not super overpowering like mango or honeydew. I typically like to mix lighter flavors together, otherwise I just get mango or honeydew by itself. This blend was perfect. The lychee jelly really elevates the lychee flavor. I might replace papaya or lychee with peach next time to change things up. The papaya does give it a nice soft orange color though. Happy drinking! read more

Meh. I got the taro milk tea (hot) in regular size. The flavor is just ok: too sweet, and you cannot even ask for less sugar cause it's pre-made ingredient. I mixed the milk tea with some milk after I came back home. Finally it tasted drinkable to me. Taro flavor is weird. I would not get this drink again. We also ordered a chai tea latte, blueberry/raspberry freeze, and a watermelon/strawberry freeze with strawberry popping bubbles. None of us were disappointed. The chai tea was very good and sweet, the fruit freezes were refreshing and delicious. After taking one sip of my taro coconut freeze, I was speechless. It's the best drink I've ever had. This location of Liquid Fusion is a bigger place compared to their Northbrook location. I just recently discovered this location. I have been to their Northbrook location a handful of times. I like going to Liquid Fusion to have their Fruit Freeze drinks. I like them a lot. This location seemed to have more variety on the menu. Since it's a bigger place they have more sitting room. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. I ordered two fruit freeze drinks. One was Mango + Coconut combo (for my wife) and other one was Lemon + Raspberry + Mango combo with tapioca (for me). Both were good. I would definitely go back to this location, especially since it's located across from Regal Lincolnshire cinemas and a few shops down from a Red Robin burger restaurant. They are open till 1 A.M. so if you have a late night craving for any of their drinks, then it's good to stop by. It's also a good place to chill and hang out. I am a parent of a child with an allergy and I always do my due diligence as my child tries something new. I asked about the safe options and then I ordered from the list of safe items the employee told me. As my order was complete, my order had an add on that I didn't recognize and they realized another employee had made a mistake and added on the wrong item, so he proceeded to pour out the drink into a new cup and tried to avoid adding on the topping. In any other situation, I would understand that they're just trying to save product. I told him that I'm so sorry (even though he had messed up the order), but I would need him to make another one to avoid cross contamination due to the allergy. He got mad at me and slammed the drink into the garbage with such anger that even the trash bin and lid fell over. I should not be made to feel like a bad person or a rude customer for looking out for the health of my child. This place is cute and the location is great, but I would really be aware of the service and the lack of concern they have about your dietary restrictions. I would definitely stay away. read more

Had a really bad experience -- their cakes taste like cleaning chemicals. Someone's not removing their gloves or washing their hands after wiping down countertops using cleaning chemicals and before handling food items. Please handle food items with care and wash your hands before handling people's food and drinks. That shouldn't have to be said. I've been to Liquid Fusion at least a hundred times. Usually to hang out with friends since it's a nice place to grab something to drink and hang out. My go-to here is a fruit freeze with tapioca. You can pick up to 3 fruits from a super long list to have in your smoothie, and from my experience I'm pretty sure any combination will taste great. The tapioca is also really great here, so I always make sure to add it in! If I'm in the mood for a more chocolate-y flavor, I'll get a coffee freeze (you can blend up to 2 flavors) with the java chip and vanilla latte flavors, with tapioca (of course) :-) I would recommend either of these! My sister ordered the red bean bingsu and it looked delicious. It was in a HUGE cup but it should've tasted a lot better for the price. She said there were too many beans, but the top half was great. In my opinion, for $10.50 two fruit freezes is a much better option. I'm giving it four stars because there's usually never anywhere to sit and the line is unreasonably long when it's busy. Liquid Fusion is where most high schoolers in the area are hanging out on weekend evenings AND there's only one person taking orders, so if you're not trying to wait a very long time for a drink I would suggest avoiding those times. There isn't much space for the line to wrap around, so it gets really crowded super fast. There's definitely more space here than in the Northbrook location and they do have a few tables set up outside, but the seating still fills up really fast. If you're in the area on a weekday, this is a great place to grab bubble tea or a smoothie! I would definitely recommend it if you're meeting up with someone, especially since it's open a lot later than most places in the area. I happened to stumble upon this place because my husband and son was getting a haircut two doors down at Rooster's and I was actually looking forward to having a smoothie at Tropical smoothie, but noticed that they closed down the business. Walking in, there are plenty of seating. Needs a bit of cleaning and as some of the seats had a lot of mess and the deco's seemed a bit crowded. There is a lot on the menu. It actually reminded me a bit of the menus in the Boba joints in San Diego. I tried the Avocado Smoothie with boba and a Watermelon Smoothie without boba. The Avocado smoothie was pretty good. I can taste the chunks of avocado and the boba was nice and chewy (and not frozen). The Watermelon Smoothie was not so good. It tasted like water...possibly because it was mostly slush/ice. I'm giving it three stars only because I enjoyed the avocado smoothie. The customer service was decent. I had questions about the menu and the person behind the counter was not so friendly...just short and felt like he wanted to get rid of me. The pricing is also decent which is another reason for the 3 stars. Suggestion for the place is maybe clean up your restaurant a little bit more because I do see a lot of younger customers coming in and maybe have a taste of the smoothie before giving to customer so that the customers don't waste their money on a smoothie that taste like water with red food coloring. read more

I can't believe I haven't left a review for this place yet, given the amount of times I've had their stuff. You can't really go wrong with anything you get here. If you are a first timer, I highly recommend getting any of their fruit freezes. You can make your own and choose to mix up to 3 flavors. They introduced lemon this past summer and it always makes my drink that much tastier. My go to fruit freeze is the mango+peach+lemon combo with lychee. (FYI the mango does cost 30 cent extra). If I'm feeling more of a traditional milk tea drink, I go for their house blend or almond tea. If you don't specify, they will give you the cold iced option but they don't fill up your cup with all ice (like most places). Other specialty drinks that my boyfriend and I like to get are the java chip coffee freeze of the Melon-Ah specialty freeze (yes, just like the ice cream). They do offer free WiFi (ask for it at the counter) and there's enough seating here for groups around ~6+. This place does get pretty packed on weekend nights especially in the summer. There was a time I had to wait 15 mins just to order a drink but I do every time because it's so worth it. read more

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY. Always has been the go-to Boba place/Bubble tea for my family. WE LOVE IT! My mother and I always end up getting Honeydew Lychee, with boba + lychee jelly, and it's amazing. They have so many options, for the fruit, for the milk tea, as well as the jelly/tapioca. In addition they have other desserts such as cookies, pastries, and ice cream as well. It's nice that it's open late, and has very nice sitting area both inside, and outside the place. Got out of our play at the Lincolnshire at 10:40 and we're a bit peckish so my wife and I looked on yelp to see where we could go that we could get some coffee and the dessert that late at night we found this place not knowing anything about it called liquid fusion so we decided it was only five minutes from the Hilton where we were staying so we drove there and got a great surprise I'm 76 and my wife is 75 and we were three times the age of anybody in this restaurant it was full of high school and college kids And everybody had a drink of some kind of other. There's no liquor served here no beer there are all drinks that kids can have all kinds of smoothies and ices and everything you can imagine and they serve some very good desserts we order two of them we ordered a brownie, and we ordered a piece of chocolate fudge cake And we shared them and they were both terrific. I had coffee, which was very good and my wife had a tea that they had there that she said was terrific. We conversed a little bit with the young people, and the place was rocking so busy. It was unbelievable and according to the counterman who served us it's like this every night what a gold mine we should have one in the south suburbs where I live in Frankfurt, it would do terrific there's a lot of young people out here that have no place to go at night. Came by liquid fusion tonight with my girlfriend to pick up some smoothie drinks. While entering and waiting in line I was never approached about wearing a mask or the fact that you still need masks after being vaccinated. Either way I would have respected the guidelines. As I was the next up to order a worker told me that due to these old COVID protocols making a comeback, that he would not serve me and my girlfriend and instructed if follow employee to do so. Also, two other customer were also told this that just ordered right before us to the front of of us ordering. They were also declined and when both our groups asked for masks due to us not having some we were declined aggressively. Moments after one of the people in front of us insisted that she order for us, ironically we were allowed to wait for drinks without masks just not order. So finally we receive one of our drinks and they forgot to list the other one and basically made us to pay for another one and wait another 10-15 minutes. -Place is good but night staff have the worst customer service and should be re-educated by a manager. read more

Post IDPH and Illinois lifting the mask mandate, I was yelled at by an employee and kicked out for not wearing a mask even after being fully vaccinated.
