White chocolate mocha with coffee jelly
    Bianca R.

This place was great!!! We decided to leave the city before rush hour. Stumbled upon this place! Place was empty and we were quickly greeted! I asked questions about coffee options. I ended up getting the white chocolate mocha with coffee jelly!! YUM!! There is plenty of seating and two couches!

My husband and I came here to satisfy our late-night boba cravings, and we were pleasantly surprised by how late Liquid Fusion stays open. Another plus was the huge parking lot with tons of space. We got a mango fruit freeze and an avocado fruit freeze. The name "fruit freeze" can be a bit misleading because you might think the drinks will be icy, but ours was blended smoothly, which we prefer. I believe they used real fruit in the drinks, and the boba was bouncy. Service was standard. The cashier just did his job, nothing extra. The atmosphere was very lively but felt crowded. All the seats inside were filled, and there was a long line at 10pm on a Wednesday night. The way the line is set up, people get squeezed between tables and the counter space. It can be uncomfortable.

Came in here for a quick boba drink fix. Loved all the flavors they offered. We had the Taro, Thai Tea, and Green Tea Latte and each one tasted so fresh. We add the jelly's to each of the drinks and it was great. The service is fast and they have a cute seating area. Do check out this place for crazy good boba drinks. Drinks are delicious and not overly sweet.

Plenty of parking, fast service, and good variety on their menu. Most importantly, their tapioca boba was satisfyingly bouncy and a good sweetness. Prices weren't outrageous (I don't want to pay $8 for bubble tea before tax and tip -_-").

So we have been coming here for over a decade, started when we were in high school-- in fact, we used to trek all the way down to Glenview for the original store! This place has been the go-to place for my generation of Asian Americans. We also have seen it renovated and changed throughout the years. The wifi and password never changed and that the "smile, you are on camera" has stayed the same also. Their menu expanded a whole lot throughout the years. Some of my favorites had been Java chip with mocha, taro bubbletea (the only other place in the northern suburbs with it besides Joy Yee's in Chinatown, back in the days), and mixed fruit freezes. It's been over two years since I last got Liquid Fusion due to the pandemic, so I went with the default taro bubbletea and tapioca (can't go wrong) and a freeze for my husband and kids. Taro bubbletea with tapioca -- rich, deep purple color and taro flavor, although maybe I'm just not used to the strong taro flavor anymore, it is recognizably from milktea powders (I could be wrong). Tapioca has a caramelized toasted flavor to it and chewy but not hard. Fruit freeze with papaya, lychee, and coconut with lychee jelly-- this is a really good combo because all the fruits have faint and light fragrance so it's not super overpowering like mango or honeydew. I typically like to mix lighter flavors together, otherwise I just get mango or honeydew by itself. This blend was perfect. The lychee jelly really elevates the lychee flavor. I might replace papaya or lychee with peach next time to change things up. The papaya does give it a nice soft orange color though. Happy drinking!

Meh. I got the taro milk tea (hot) in regular size. The flavor is just ok: too sweet, and you cannot even ask for less sugar cause it's pre-made ingredient. I mixed the milk tea with some milk after I came back home. Finally it tasted drinkable to me. Taro flavor is weird. I would not get this drink again. Service was slow and not good as it used to be.

Strawberry & Banana is yummy. Tastes a bit artificial, but I still like it. Their tapioca balls are very yummy. Tastes like brown sugar. I would definitely go again.

Taro and coconut freeze. Best drink I've ever had

Came here for a nice treat. I got the taro freeze and asked if they could add coconut which they said could. We also ordered a chai tea latte, blueberry/raspberry freeze, and a watermelon/strawberry freeze with strawberry popping bubbles. None of us were disappointed. The chai tea was very good and sweet, the fruit freezes were refreshing and delicious. After taking one sip of my taro coconut freeze, I was speechless. It's the best drink I've ever had. It was more creamy than icy and I absolutely loved the flavor. Not sure how to describe it but if you like ube, it's almost like that. So sweet and delicious. Even has a fun purple color. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Stopped in as my son lives everything boba. It's wheelchair accessible. Open seating. I went with the strawberry, peach raspberry freeze with strawberry pop bubble and it was so fresh and refreshing. Loved the pops! Just the right amount of sweetness. My son got a tropical type freeze with boba. He downed it! And loved it. Will def be trying again!

Always appreciate their boba options and flavors but it was a little dingy. Would still return and have been there many times.

I'm in love. Seriously, I'm in love. I have been looking for a place that offered dim sum and…read moredumplings for a while now (ever since I experienced them at Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone in Seattle) and I can honestly say that Seriously Sanji is a great place. My wife told me there was a dumpling place in Northbrook and took me there for a late lunch the other day. I know that she's not a fan of dumplings, but "took one for the team" and brought me there. We just ordered basic beverages, her a water and I a Coke Zero. She then ordered Pad Thai and I ordered chicken soup dumplings and chicken sanji. The pad thai came out first and it was a huge portion. She barely put a dent into it and it became two additional meals later. She said it was different than other places she's had it and that it was good, but different. I noticed the chicken pieces were huge chunks and the sauce had a little kick to it and wasn't thick, but it was tasty. I first got the chicken soup dumplings. Man, they were good. They're larger than the ones I've had at Din Tai Fung and The Dough Zone, but they sure are delicious. And since I prefer not to drive into the city and spend over an hour on the road to get downtown, to go find some other dumpling/dim sum place; I'm happy there's a great place in the suburbs near me. They rival the other two mentioned previously. Their sauces are great, the dumplings are great. The sanji was delicious. Heck, that's in their darn name. All of it was good. And this is my go to place in the suburbs now. The place is a cute. As you enter the vestibule, there's a dumpling with a body welcoming you in. The place is just all black and red and you wait to be seated. There is a container with chopsticks on each table, but the napkin is wrapped around a fork (most places you have to ask for a fork, so this is a nice change). I could use a knife for the sanji as they are quite big, but it's not a problem eating them without. Our server was very nice and helpful. There's really no place in the north to northwest suburbs that serves this type of food and you'd be foolish to skip it. I'll see you there soon. I'll be the one making the yummy sounds.

(I wish they had a loyalty program or punch card of sorts for her because of her affinity to the store!) Last night, she had a taste for bubble tea so we took her after dinner and we had some pleasant surprises in our drink choices! My boyfriend got the Cookies and Cream milkshake with oat milk ('cause dairy) and it was thick, delicious, and had a strong ratio of milk to cookie in it. Last time my parents took my daughter, I tried a Coconut Purple Berry tea and added tapioca. It is tea, coconut milk, and like, chunks of guava--delicious. I can tell you my daughter's go to is a Taro Milkshake which is milk and taro blended--very delicious! The presentation is appealing--it looks like white clouds in a purple sky. Other drinks I have tried include their galaxy lemon tea, a sort of ocean lemonade (?), etc. My daughter also lives for their croffles--I know she has had matcha, tiramisu, plain, etc. Last night's choice was matcha and there was not a crumb left in the box. Ordering is easy on the kiosk, and the staff is quiet, but friendly. I have been there with different sized groups at different times of day, and the food, drinks, and service are always consistent. Sometimes it's packed, sometimes it's not. Driving back home, I wanted to yell at all the youths in that green siren logoed coffee shop to drink something better across the parking lot, but I did not. There are two entrances, and you order from the kiosk. You can order from their menu, or build your own flavor. It goes like this, they add your flavor and mixins plus cream to a super cold plate. They mash it up with what looks like paint scrapers, then spread this mixture paper thin. Then they scrape it, making thin rolls of ice cream. The workers are super meticulous-- this is hard work. They're going to have amazing biceps at the end of this summer! Be patient -- this process is not quick -- everything is made to order; you see exactly what goes into your flavor and it's mesmerizing to watch. I ordered Coffee Lovers flavor -- and I watched them pour coffee, cream and 1 graham cracker and make that into coffee ice cream. Now, they added whipped cream and caramel sauce too, so there's that. My friend ordered Key Lime, and their order was juice from a lime wedge, cream, and one graham cracker. It was also topped with a toasted marshmallow -- so cute! The resulting flavors are not very rich -- kind of like a flavored ice milk -- but there are times when that's what you want. They also offer smoothies, lattes and bubble tea (looked amazing). What's cooler than being cool? Ice cold!
