Do not let Dr. Sabolboro do implants or crowns! I went to this office for a few years and they were fine for cleanings and cavities but I had major issues when I needed more extensive work. He did an implant which seemed fine until the crown kept falling off. I don't think it stayed on for more than a couple days. After going in several times to have it tightened, he said that he thought the implant wasn't sitting at the correct angle inside my gums. He said he could try to do it again but a bridge would be a better option as it would be faster and because I'd probably have the same issue with another implant. He also said he'd have to file down a perfectly fine tooth in order to have a bridge. In hindsight I should have gotten a second opinion but I had no reason not to trust him at this point. He offered to do it right away because it would only take 15 minutes. I told him I had to pick my kids up and he reassured me that it would be fast. It took HOURS. Luckily my husband was able to pick up my kids. I normally don't have issues with dental work but this experience changed that. He clearly did not know what he was doing. Finally he got the implant out. I went back for the bridge and that came out after a day. Went back several times to have the bridge put back in. In the meantime another crown he did kept falling off. He told me that he thought the issue was that I have too much saliva which I didn't buy bc I would assume that another dentist would have said something to me about that by this point in my life. I went to another dentist who confirmed that I did not have too much saliva. The other dentist also said that she saw no reason that the implant should have come out. No reason to destroy a healthy tooth for a bridge. Also a bridge is more expensive to replace than just one crown. I stayed with the new dentist who kept having to tighten my crown and re-cemented my bridge until it broke. After it broke, I reached out to Sabolboro and asked for my money back which he did not do. He did offer to re-do the work but I did not feel comfortable having him do that. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers bridges and crowns every 5 years so I've gone without because I'd rather do that, then have Dr. Sabolboro do anything to my teeth. read more

Yani on the left & Dee on your right in the picture provided. This was my first visit. The wait was brief about 15 mins for an initial visit while you fill out a form, and then you're off to X-rays. The dentist is welcoming & attentive. I was worried & anxious about the visit because my previous dentist had told me I had over $10K worth of immediate work that I had been procrastinating on, but to my surprise, Dr. S gave my mouth a clean bill of health! I was so surprised! I had told him beforehand that I was previously told there's A LOT of work in my mouth, but he took his time & explained he didn't see any need. I then waited for my hygienist, who did a thorough cleaning & took her time explaining what I can do for sensitive teeth. In the end you get a goodie bag & a smile for the road. Dr. Sabolboro is an honest and caring dentist. Finally, I found a dentist I can trust & recommend to all. I'm so happy I was recommended this place. They accept UFT & many other insurances. Dr. Sabolboro is a great dentist. My previous (beloved) dentist expatriated and I'd been searching for a new one for a while. Finally my trusted periodontist recommended Dr. Sabolboro and I'm so happy. I'm over 70 and have had some difficult experiences with dentists over the years (one - I'm convinced - caused an awful neuropathy I suffered with for years.- thankfully - no longer ). Upon my first visit to Dr. Sabolboro I knew my periodontist was right - he's terrific. He patiently listened to my long dental history and then got to work with my checkup. I always have a great experience at Forest Park Dental. The team is so friendly and efficient. Their office isn't near where I live and there are plenty of other dentists closer to me but I make the effort to give FPD my business because their service is consistently excellent. Lina, the hygienist, is especially amazing. She's SUPER friendly and pleasant to work with. She was very attentive to my comfort throughout the cleaning process. Before starting, she asked if I had any sensitivities so she could be more careful around them. She explained everything she was doing as she worked. An outstanding experience on every level. Lina makes you want to come back for a cleaning sooner than six months. Dr. Sabolboro, the dentist, is also great. He was able to remove a lower-wisdom tooth that was causing me tremendous grief when other dentists said they couldn't because that was considered oral surgery and they weren't licensed to perform it. Dr. Sabolboro removed the troublesome tooth quickly and painlessly. The relief was truly life-changing and I'll always be grateful. I can't recommend FPD highly enough. read more

Very disappointed in this office. I was a patient of Dr. Li's and came in for a scheduled root canal only to be told Dr. Li left the practice. Dr. S saw me and told me I had too much dental work to be done to fit into his schedule and told me to find another dentist. My tooth is in a lot of pain so I asked if he could do any work today and he said he "didn't want to start anything he couldn't finish." So now I am left in pain and without a dentist. They could have let me know before I came in that he couldn't do any work. Also, they had a dental hygienist put in temporary filling puddy and she put cotton on the table tray meant to go in my mouth without gloves on which is very unhygienic and just gross. read more

HORRIBLE!!! I've been traumatized with this place. Definitely never going back. The dentist SEEMS nice at first but I think this is his way of trying to figure out in his head all the ways he can throw big words at you so he can claim you need all this work that you really don't! The worst part of all is that he actually came into the room with a MASK FULL OF SOMEONE ELSES BLOOD and tried to look into my mouth!!!!! Luckily his assistant was paying attention and told him to take it off. I felt mortified. This guy does not pay attention. He goes on to tell me I need some fillings and 2 teeth pulled.... I have no pain whatsoever and I just wanted a checkup and cleaning, now I need all this work? Like a previous yelper, I also have UFT and when I go to the front the woman tells me it will cost me almost $200 in copays!!! Something about a downgrade. Seems a little fishy to me. So I tell her I'll think about it, (with no intention of ever returning). I ended up going to VIP dental on queens blvd, and guess what I didn't need any fillings and all I had to pay was an exam copay of $15. read more

Normally I would not bother with reviewing a practice but my recent experience at this dentist was one of the worst I've encountered. I have seen Dr. Sabolboro in the past and never had an issue, I do believe he is a great dentist. His previous staff was always very professional and accommodating. So my review is for his staff in particular front desk and the office manager. When I called to make an appointment for my daughter the receptionist did not bother informing me of my copayment. I specifically called because I needed to confirm the practice was accepting my insurance. The receptionist confirmed and proceeded to make the appointment. We arrived to the office and the receptionist was on a personal call, did not even acknowledge us until after we informed her we had an appointment. While still on her cell she states "oh yeah and you have a co-payment" and left us there waiting for her to return but she never did. Plus this receptionist was not even wearing her mask properly which made us even more uncomfortable, since COVID-19 is still not over. About eight minutes later a technician comes to the front desk and I ask her about the copayment and she reads the note and says "yes the notes states to collect $60". I inform her that I need to speak to my insurance to clarify because we were not aware of the copayment. When my daughter comes home after her appointment she tells me she was charged $100 for the copayment. I call the office for clarification and the receptionist whose name is "Amanda" once again very unprofessional response to my concern in a defensive manner and proceeds to hang up on me. I decided to call back and ask to speak to the office manager named "Linda" and although she listens to my issue she does nothing to resolve it. It's a shame that due to the kind of staff Dr. Sabolboro has hired now we will no longer be going to him. read more

I am terrified of the dentist and a candy fiend, it is a terrible combination to say the least. Unfortunately my long time dentist Dr. Caccioppo passed away and the idea of seeing someone else was a little nerve wracking. I checked out the reviews and talked to some people I know who also go there and everyone had good things to say. I fully concur with all the reviews that Dr. Saboloboro is a great dentist. The facility is clean, wait time was manageable, they have all the latest and greatest equipment but it was definitely on the pricier end. But I suppose you get what you pay for. From asking around it is more than other places, but for me at least it is worth it. I went in for a cleaning and x-rays, the dental hygienist was great cleanest my teeth have ever felt in fact haha. I ended up having to get cavities filled and they squeezed me in at the end of the day which I also thought was really nice. I think they were conscientious of my dentist office anxieties and did a great job assuaging whatever irrational fears I had haha. read more

JUST WOW! I went in for an extraction for a failed root canal that got infected and the infection began eating away at the bone. I was PETRIFIED because the most dental work i've ever gotten done was a filling and the root canal. I saw all good reviews but decided to work myself up anyway and when I say this man applied numbing gel, gave me 2 measly shots & just popped the tooth out in under 30 seconds?! NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER! meanwhile yesterday i watched my boyfriends dentist struggle to get his tooth out and i feel horrible for not just bringing him to my dentist! Dr. S (i can't spell his name) is the best! & not to mention can hold an intellectual conversation & answers all of your paranoia fueled questions. he didn't pressure me into getting any work done AT ALL. he's amazing. and if you find yourself having to pay out of pocket, ITS WORTH IT. i'm taking my boyfriend back to get his last wisdom tooth removed. read more

My son was very nervous about getting braces and he took his time and went over how he would put the braces on and my son likes that and feels comfortable and that meant a lot to me as a parent. Firstly I like to start by saying I am terrified of the dentist. I've had a lot of bad experiences and avoid the dentist at all cost. However, once I mustered up the courage to call Forest Park Dental my fears were immediately put at ease. I was referred to them by a friend who assured me they're the best especially with handling people with fears like mine. I told the woman who answered the phone that I am terribly afraid of the dentist and she put me at ease right away, assuring me that I would be well taken care of. Even reading their website made me feel like I was making the right decision. Once I came into the office I was greeted with kindness. I explained my situation and my fears, again, all my questions were answered, and I felt even more at ease. They took the time to listen and make me feel important. I talked to the doctor about all my concerns and he gave me all the answers I needed in a calm and no pressure sort of way. The office gives a free consultation and X-ray for new patience which is also a bonus!
