The customer service here is absolutely horrendous. I called to inquire if a particular dress i was interested in purchasing was in stock and the girl on the phone told me that the line was long so no one could help me and to call back. when i asked when i should call back she says "i don't know." okay. so i call back 20 minutes later and i'm told the same thing- that absolutely no one in the store can help me. so i asked to speak to a manager and the girl says the manager isn't there. when i asked where she was, she rudely responds "not here." so i told her i'd like to talk with a manager at which point she says i can wait on hold. i have been waiting 19 minutes and not a single person has picked up this phone call. absolutely disgusting counter people and horrendous customer service. i will be placing a complaint first thing tomorrow. read more

This is one of my favorite Forever 21 locations for the sole reason that it's HUGE. 4 large floors of accessories and apparel from lingerie to shoes to sportswear... the list goes on! As always, very affordable for great style, great variety and great quality. Everything is usually very clean and tidy. Now for the cons -- it's dead in the center of Times Square so half the people in there aren't even shopping, just tourists walking around. Not a huge deal and definitely expected since Times Square is generally a touristy area, however, it's kind of uncomfortable to shop around with people walking around cluelessly and stopping to take photos in front of the clothing racks. There are a few dressing rooms in the store but each time I've been there, most of them were closed and there is a long line at the one or two that are open. Another downside is that for such a big and busy store, there are usually 3 cashiers, tops. The wait time each time I've been there has been anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes... the clothes are so worth it though! read more

First and foremost, I hate Times Square, so I was not excited about having to go to this location. However, I called of the stores in NYC and this was the only one that had the shirt I wanted, in the color/size I needed in stock. I called at 12pm and was told they had 16 of them and had one held for me. When I arrived at 9:45pm I was told by a sales associate they had none, and had been sold out for days. I was obviously quite confused as I had spoken to someone earlier in the day, who not only told me they had the shirt, but agreed to put it on hold for me.... I was directed down to the bottom floor to ask for a stock manager. Now, I have no idea who the stock manager is, so I asked the first sales associate I saw (who was super helpful & nice) who then directed to me to another associate, but again not the stock manager. This associate clearly took pity on me and decided to help, as he brought me where "no other customer has been before!" the hallowed Forever21 stock room. I was starting to get hopeful, as he showed some of the stock associates the shirt I was looking for, and they all set off into the maze that is their stock room, but after about 10 minutes they all returned empty handed. Many apologies ensued and I left empty handed. I am pretty bummed I couldn't get the shirt I wanted, after making a special trip down from the UES, but I did appreciate the good customer service I received in store. I'm noticing how the older I get, the more girlie I'm becoming. Naturally, this equals to a growing lust for clothing/handbags/shoes/make-up and accessories. I also understand I'm getting a bit too old for some of their pieces, but no better place satisfies my shopping thrills than Forever 21. And this one in Times Square does not play around! Yes, it's huge and open til 2am. I came in with my sister, not intending to buy anything for myself. The lady at the dressing room wouldn't let me into the dressing room with my sister while she tried her clothes on. I explained that I didn't want to go into the stall with her, but to be outside the door to help her 1)zip up, and 2) give her my opinion, as I've done at each and every store we've been to together to, ever. Apparently this is a big no-no here. If you're catering to women, who always want a second opinion from someone they trust and even go in pairs to the bathroom, you shouldn't have such a silly policy. You know what's funny, though this location has four levels, my friend still found it hard to find exactly what she wanted. Having a bin store like this can be a little overwhelming. But if you have the ione, it's worth it. You may come in looking for one thing but leave with an item that's completely different. I have noticed that their prices have increased over time. This is a great store, but honestly, I have a borderline panic attack the moment I walk in. It's not even the crowds that get me - I'm used to crowds since I work in Times Square, but the vast, oceanic amount of stuff they have is absolutely overwhelming. Fundamentally, this surplus is a good thing but it stresses me out so much because I want to look at everything, which is a humanly impossible task. They have workers standing around everywhere to say hello to you and be there if you need help. They're all really nice considering the fact that they probably have a lot of tourists coming up to them speaking to them in broken English where they can find a specific shirt they saw on a mannequin. The store is very tidy and has great prices, like all Forever 21's do. It's great but beware of it's size!! read more

I was in times square at 1:30 AM and had nothing to do, so I randomly walked into this store and am so glad I did! My expectations were low since there is a Forever 21 in almost every American mall and thought this store would have nothing new to offer. Boy was I wrong! The menswear department here is half a floor, which is a huge step up considering most Forever 21's men's departments are tiny or non existent. I was stunned by all the great and affordable t-shirts, pants/shorts, and other clothing they had stocked. I'm incredibly happy with what I purchased and these items have since become regular items of my wardrobe. Why can't all Forever 21's be like this one!! read more

This is shopping heaven. I thought the one in Puerto Rico was big but this one is even bigger. 3 floors of clothes for almost every occasion and style. Accessories, handbags, even a section for guys. You will definitely spend some time here, not to mention some money too. Holy Mother of God! This is the biggest store that is not a department store that I have ever been in! I had to make a return for a purchase I made from another store and their manager was MIA......FOR OVER A HALF HOUR! Apparently they do not trust their employees to make returns....hmmmm. The employees where very apologetic but the MIA manager did not say a word. Anyway once I was over that, I spent over a hour shopping. The prices on these "made in China" pieces are cheap....somewhere around $25 for blouses and tops, so I purchased quite a bit. I am not sure if I just purchased "disposable" clothing but time will tell. Now a days no one can afford Bloomingdale's so I am happy with my purchases! The store is very well kept up and shop-able. Not like some of the other "garage sale" looking stores I have been in. There are several fitting rooms and even though they where busy I did not wait for a room...AAA+++!! Be aware that Forever 21 has a shady return policy. In other words, they only take exchanges, and give in store credit. That's usually a indication that they are a company that does not stand behind their product (s). So....make sure to try everything on before leaving their store. Overall I had a good experience. Their management needs to get it together but things like that iron themselves out one way or another. read more

In the world of Forever 21 stores, this one is as good as it gets! It is awesome with great selections, multiply floors, and an entire section devoted to workout clothes (big score for a workout fanatic like me). I was sad because these amazing workout tights did not come in my size. :-( I was actually surprised that it was not overly crowded given the size of the store and the location. My friend and I were there on a Sunday mid-afternoon so we figured the crowds would be ridiculous but they were not. The customer service was great once you stopped the many busy workers who are working their butts off to keep the store organized (thanks for that!). The Forever 21 in Avenue Mall, St. Johns Mall in Jacksonville, the F21 on Washington DC, these three are way, but I mean way better than this empty Forever 21 store located at the heart of Manhattan. My daughter was all excited to finally had made it to the store and could not wait what things new, latest trend was inside the store. Yep, surprise surprise, old store, lots of junk, felt more like an outlet with everything on clearance. Minimum cashiers, super long lines, and NO BATHROOMS. Hint: Go to Toys R Us, to the Baby R Us section, clean restrooms and no lines. Nothing extraordinary for been at the mecca of (WOW) New York, NY, another tourist trap. Save your hard earned money and time and support your local Forever 21 store in your area, this place is depressing. So the flagship store used to be Virgin Records. I remember going to VR when I was younger. I believe in 2009 or 2010, this store became Forever 21. It's a huge store. A beautiful store at that. There are 4 floors and you're able to get lost easily. The items that I usually come to this store to purchase are the leggings and tank tops. They're cheap and the quality is decent. I do like them. There's nothing else for me to buy here. The quality of the items are pretty cheap. The store attracts a lot of tourists. Pretty crowded during the weekends. The lines for the register and the dressjng rooms can be long also. It can be hard finding your size, so try the Heral Square location. Overall, the store is pretty nice too. I will come back here again. I will also come back here to buy some more leggings. I like the variety of colors. The staff are nice too. read more

Guys, let's just say I recently spend a lot of time at various Forever 21 locations around Manhattan. I'm here to tell you this is the best one. Period. I've visited this particular location at 11:30pm at night, after a night of drinks (good idea? no. Awesome results? Yes.) and also in the middle of a week day or on a weekend. It's....the best. My problem with most Forever 21's is that they're SO crowded and/or SO messy and/or SO crowded and messy that it's impossible to try on clothes. This one is a wonderland! It's bright! It's 4 floors! It's clean! It's relatively easy to get into a fitting room for being in Times Square and it's just a great experience. Seriously. If you've ever had the feeling (like I have) of "oh I REALLY wanted that $3.80 necklace why didn't I buy it last time???" and you can't find it at that store again. It's here. I promise you. (You know, within reason). Seriously, if you like Forever 21, push through the crowds in Times Square and make this location your priority. It is worth it. read more

1) They need prominently pllaced signs. This place is huge and annoying to navigate 2) The workers never ask you if you need help, which wouldn't be a big deal if not for the fact that I can never tell who works there. They don't have a uniform and their name tags aren't always visible. 3) They need to organize their jeans by size, unless they enjoy having customers remove entire piles of jeans to find the right size. 4) They need to check their earring section bc there's almost always a pair missing from the packs and many of them are damaged. All I have to say is that I was in HEAVEN! This store is beyond huge! 4 levels of clothe, accessories, shoes, and etc. We stopped by to find something to wear for a dayglow party, however, ended up finding everything we were not suppose to buy. I fell in love with all the accessories. You will find everything and anything for any occasion at a great price. There were people coming in and out of the store. You would assume that it would be over crowded but that not the case due to the 4 levels and different styles that they have throughout the store there is no over crowding taking place. I am amazed at how organized everything is in the store. They have so many employees working here and making sure everything is in place. They are very helpful and friendly. They have fitting rooms in every corner of the store. Waiting in line was not long at all. Once we were done trying on everything and roaming around the store we checked out and again the lines were not long at all. They have several people working the cash registers. Not one of my favorite locations for the following reasons : Always messy- hangers not facing the same way. Tees , skirts, sweaters etc are not folded neatly. Always lines to wait on . Lack of varieties of colors , styles , etc. The system "isn't working" for gift cards or store credits. WOW All Forever 21 fans needs to check out this location. I think this location is even bigger than the Forever 21 in SF! This location has four floors. The ground floor is their regular fashion stuff. One floor down is their accessories and their sub-brands (love21, twelve by twelve, faith21, etc.). Go another floor down for the men's clothing. And at the very bottom is more regular fashion clothing. It's so much better than the nearby Herald Square location because it's much more spacious and organized. Even though there were a ton of people at this location, the racks and tables were spread out enough that it was easy to move through without bumping into people. Plus, this location is so clean and the staff is so friendly! Love it or hate it, you can't deny that Forever 21 has affordable fashion. And this new location makes shopping at Forever 21 enjoyable! read more

When I found a dressing room with no line , I went in , was trying on my clothing and they kick me out for there not being service there. Each line (Love 21, Heritage) has it's own area and multiple sizes in almost every piece. Also, this 4 story heaven is teeming with staff. Although they may be busy checking out their faces in the mirror, they are still present to help. The one con of this place is that fact that it's located in the middle of the vortex known as Times Square. However, I would probably suck it up just to be able to walk in, find some cute, cheap things in my size and walk out. *The one con of all Forever21 stores is that they don't do refunds. I can't even explain the bliss I felt coming here. This is my new happy place. Do you remember having a Barbie Dream House when you were little? I felt like I was inside a huge Barbie House going from closet to closet. One was cooler than the next! They have a kid's dept, a sunglasses dept, even a workout and plus size dept! Do not waste your time here-go explore New York neighborhoods. The store is huge-lots of selection, but there were no clerks on the 3 upper levels to assist. Employees spent time talking to each other before acknowledging and waiting on customers and often time pretended they didn't see or hear the customers-very odd. We had planned to spend a lot of time in the store, but not allowed to use restroom, so we ended up putting the clothing back. Some of this is our fault-we should have spent our day buying local in a New York neighborhood instead-we will do that in the future. read more

Forever 21 is no longer just a store, it is a mega giant department store. This location is so huge that it almost put me in to a shopping panic attack. Staff are friendly and helpful, and if you can't find what you want in stock, I doubt you will find it at another location. It's very neat and lines weren't too bad, but it did just open so let's see what it's like in 6 months. The last time I had visited New York the store was still in construction so I was anxious to see what there was to offer. 4 fully stocked floors! The only problem with is that you could become easily overwhelmed so make sure you have plenty of time to sift through everything. Oh, and did I mention they're open from 8am to 2am? Even on Sunday.
