I called them and spoke with Ricardo, the owner. I had a small leak in my sink and a couple of other plumbing issues that I wanted him to look at. He did have to adjust his appointment window a little bit but I didn't mind because he let me know promptly and showed up in the new window. He fixed the leak, adjusted my shower knob and kitchen sink faucet which were very loose. I asked him about my poor water flow and he checked those out and made more adjustments. It was great that he gave me some tips to help minimize my need for a plumber in the future. When a business does that, I really can't ask for more. I am a bit of a handyman myself and it seemed like he really knew what he was doing the whole time. I also liked that he was the guy who took my call and also came to do all the work. On Black Friday (11/26/21), my wife and I were just getting ready to go shopping when she noticed that our water heater was leaking water. It had a catastrophic failure and it had to be replaced so I checked online reviews and made some phone calls. Most either didn't answer or told me it would be several days until they could come to my home to replace the water heater. I called Pacific Valley Plumbing and Ricardo answered the phone right away. Ricardo said he could come later that day and he arrived in a timely manner (In the future he probably won't be able to respond so fast because I can see him getting fully booked once his business grows more). Ricardo is a licensed plumber that uses his expertise and high quality tools to get the job done right the first time. He first uninstalled the old water heater and cleaned up a bit and then installed the new water heater. He had to add a drain line because the old water heater didn't have one (our home inspector had said the same thing 2 years ago but we never bothered to get it fixed). I am super curious about home improvement and have been an avid fan of "This Old House" so I know enough to know that Ricardo completed the job right and followed the proper codes. I was so impressed by his work that I immediately asked him to help me with another plumbing issue. The house came with this ancient water softener system that I wanted removed since the day we bought the house. Ricardo removed the old system and the old pipes and then soldered the copper pipes together. This might have been a simple task for him but it greatly benefited me because I got more storage in my garage and my water pressure increased! Before I let him go I also asked him about a shower remodel since our home has those old school valves that don't have any scalding protection. The tech called me 10 mins later to inform me he had to finish a job and would be on his way. I called at 2:53 Martin (I believe his name was) was at my house at 4:30pm. I told him what I tried and he then said okay show me the clean out and he did his magic and got my pipes flowing like new again! For the quality & speediness you get the price can't be beat. Our house had been leaking for 2 days Not sure why this was happening. I happened to call Pacific Valley Plumbing this weekend and they gave me an estimate and also a specific time frame of arrival. Our house water pressure was high due to failure of the pressure regulator and consequently had pressure problems especially for showers. This I learned was the problem when I called for quotes to fix our problems. We also had an old water heater and were advised to replace it. There were also some corroded pipes needing repair. Ricardo gave us a very reasonable quote and he installed the regulator and water heater and fixed our pipes all on one day. All is now working well.
