I came in for the first time for a UV gel removal and a Dazzle Dry manicure and was lucky enough to be booked with Regina. She was so sweet and knowledgeable, and my nails look great. I'm excited to see how the Dazzle Dry holds up and to get my natural nails healthy again. Every time I went here I left more stressed than when I arrived! There are so many rules using gift cards that they don't tell you until you're literally checking out at the end of your appointment. Not to mention the service is no different than what you can find at your normal massage and nail salons so why am I paying double/triple the price? My massage was okay, the therapist talked almost the entire time and completely ruined the relaxation vibe I wanted. I got my nails done and got swindled out of $15. I booked a classic mani with a full price pedicure and polish add on. Well what do you know? When I got the bill at the end I was charged for a manicure double the price of the one I booked and asked for. I tried to let it go. Then I was told my gift card only covered part of the bill (mind you, I booked it so it would be fully covered) and they couldn't charge my credit card less than $20! WTF! Ok so now you're getting $20 extra than what I budgeted for. Finally, they agreed to charge me only the $15 and acted like they were doing me some huge favor. Manicure is already chipping a few days later but pedicure still looks nice. I will NEVER return. Also there is little parking here so I had to park and walk and ending up going through puddles of water with a fresh pedicure to get back to my car. This place is so dumb, don't waste your time. "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG" My mom was going through a very stressful period in her life so I thought it would be nice to surprise her with a gift card for a massage, just because. I searched Google for a massage place. I settled on The Spa Haus in Amityville, based on Google's rating and reviews. I went to the gift cards section of their website which directed me to a third party site which handles the electronic transactions for The Spa Haus. I filled out the forms and chose a $200 electronic gc. I got a confirmation on the site and received an email receipt. I eagerly awaited a call from my mom thanking me for the surprise gift. A day went by, and nothing. I decided to contact her and ask her if she received an email from me. Nope. She asked what she was supposed to look for and I told her. No more surprise. She found an email from The Spa Haus. There was no mention of a gift card, me or the dollar amount. It was a generic email saying that she can call for an appointment. It looked like spam. I called The Spa Haus and a woman answered. I wish I had asked for her name, but the owner is well aware of who she is. I explained the error to her and expressed my disappointment. She immediately got defensive saying, "That couldn't have happened"..."I see it fine on my end"..."Did your mom scroll the entire email?"..."Did you submit it correctly?". She was curt and she repeatedly interrupted me. At no point did she apologize, take responsibility or act the least bit sympathetic. I became increasingly less patient with this woman. The tense conversation escalated. After I called her out on her terrible customer service, she said in an obvious condescending tone, "I'M VERY SORRY." I eventually hung up the phone. I called right back and asked for an immediate refund and she said she would talk to the owner and get back to me. No call back. The next morning I called The Spa Haus multiple times with no answer. I left a message. I tried calling The Spa Haus later in the day and this time someone answered. It was the owner. When I introduced myself, she said that she was just about to call me. I began to explain the situation and she immediately treated me with the same lack of respect as her employee did a day prior. She was defensive. She cut me off. She told me there are no refunds, before I could even finish. I expressed how her employee was unapologetic and the owner snapped at me saying that she reviewed the cameras and the employee said "I'm very sorry." I told her that was said condescendingly, only after I called her out on being unapologetic. It was another escalating conversation with poor customer service. I then told her, which is true, that I'm not that upset about the gift card, because it's the internet and errors happen. I told her that I was really upset because the employee treated me like garbage. I guess it finally clicked because the owner did a 180 and told me that she would refund my money, and she did. She half-apologized and said that the employee "probably had a bad day." Nothing she said sounded sincere. I was just glad to get my refund and be done with this nightmare. The employee on the original phone call should have said something like, "I'm very sorry that happened to you. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make it right. Can you please share with me exactly what happened so we can correct this and make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks for choosing us." Instead I was made to feel like an idiot and a bother. The owner should have known better. Perhaps business is so good that she doesn't care if she loses a customer every now and then. The funny thing is, I would have kept the gift card had someone at this business actually been kind to me. This was supposed to be a nice surprise for my mom, something to relieve her stress. Instead, another business will get my $200 and a possible long-term customer, and I have wasted hours of my life dealing with yet another bad business with no clue what customer service actually means. read more

Spa Haus is was a great experience. I booked a dermaplane facial with Ashley and it was amazing. At many other spas when you get a dermaplane the facial is focused on that, and you'd need to add that service to a regular facial to get the full experience...not the case here. The service was a complete facial including multiple cleanses, extractions, facial massage, the works. I regularly get facials and can say will confidence that this was one of the best I've had. Will define be back and recommend Ashley as a technician. The one thing I will say is bring cash...they don't allow you to add a tip when paying. read more

I was recommended to Susan by a dear friend with incredible skin and brows. I visited for the first time today, and I can see why my friend trusts Susan with her skincare needs. Susan is friendly and professional. It is clear that she takes pride in what she does. I let her shape my eyebrows after doing them myself for years (I had a horrible experience someplace else). They look incredible. She kept my natural shape (thick) and enhanced it. I will go back for a facial and definitely for my brows. The space is peaceful and relaxing. If I could give the Spa Haus a 0 star review I would, I got to the spa at 1:00 pm to attend my appointment with Alina, I was getting highlights with a shadow root. When I made my appointment with Nancy she told me that Alina was the most amazing hair stylist and she would be able to get me the perfect color. When I got there they offered me water which was very nice but then it all went down hill, I waited for an hour before Alina even acknowledge me, by the time she started adding in the foils she seemed so confused and so out of sorts. She asked me what color I was getting and I told her I wanted something in the orange family, she looked scared, she ran to the back to see if she had the color after she quietly commented that she might not even have it. After about another 20 mins she turned back up and informed me that the color was not here, now I was sitting with bleach in my hair and the Spa Haus dose not have the color I want? This was some type of sick joke you have a client sitting in your chair and no color even remotely close to what I was asking for. What a mockery, Alina was acting as if it was okay and asked if I wanted to pick a different color but that is not what I wanted at all, there is bleach in my hair and now im paying for a service that I am not going to be happy with. I proceeded to ask Alina if I could kindly stop the process now and not move any further. Alina told me that I could not because she had already started the service on me and has put this time aside, I got up and proceeded to leave because I was not paying almost 200$ for something that is going to be half done. I was asked to pay the entire bill even with nothing being done. With all of this said the owner Sue told me she would have to take the full amount from me no matter what and if I did not pay it she would call the cops on me. Sue was making something out of nothing, when her spa was the one that was without product. What a mess this spa is, never go here for anything, wouldn't trust them to even do a simple manicure on me. She also has an arsenal of tools and products of the highest quality that she uses. Anyone who walks in is transformed immediately. Her new place, The Spa Haus, is absolutely exquisite and I have never seen such beautiful taste, from the boutique, to the gentle meditation music, to the warm heated plush beds for massages. I have been going to Susan for my facials for 7 years and she never disappoints! She is the best of the best , always offering new facials, keeps up on new techniques and trends. I will never let anyone else touch my face! Being in my mid 40's, she keeps my skin looking young (and I'm a sun worshipper). I always get compliments on my skin and owe it all to her.
