I've been coming to Forever Young Nail Salon for nearly a year. The salon is very clean and has a bright and sunny corner location. This nail salon is conveniently located on downtown Wilmette close to restaurants and shopping. My nails are done perfectly each and every time I come, whether or not I walk in or have an appointment. I never feel rushed out like at other area salons. I love Forever Young Nails - after my 'regular' person retired, I searched around and have been with FYN for 5 years. I especially appreciate they are open on Sunday, given I work M-F - it gives such great flexibility; easy to make reservations, but also easy to walk in most times. I've worked with all of the staff, and find them all terrific. I typically do gel manicures, and regular pedicures, and I love how long-lasting they both are. I find the store very clean, and appreciate how they sterilize/use new tools each time. Jaimie and her staff are lovely - accommodating, great at what they do, and they always provide a great leg or shoulder massage. A perfect way to end getting pampered. read more

This place is just awful. I've tried them a few days hoping I would like them because they are so close to my home. I feel like they take short cuts. I received a no chip 3 times, after each time within 2 days they bubble up off my nail and peel. They don't care to try to fix it without charging me. Also, know that they will charge you to remove you polish ( no chip) even if you had it at Forever nails. During covid I've been wanting to support local stores. I made an appointment for myself and daughter for 5:30p. They are open until 7pm. They were upset and said they wanted to go home early and were mad that I couldn't come earlier. They make you feel uncomfortable especially when you open your wallet to tip. They don't speak English while your checking out, so you FEEL like you did something wrong or being judge. There other places to go and I wouldn't be sad if this place closed down. This place is not nice. read more

I had been going here for a long time and always made an appointment since they allow walk-ins and I want to make sure I get in and out on time. I was left for 15 minutes between my pedicure and manicure so they could accomodate another walk- in client. Not a good way to manage the business. Also, the quality of manicures and pedicures varies highly depending on which person you get. read more

I have been a customer for years - but I called to make an appointment, made an appt and then they could not accommodate me at the time - it was a busy Saturday w/errands, kids and work -- I couldn't wait and come back. No apology or explanation from them. I love the atmosphere but I don't appreciate a lack of service, apology or even acknowledgement of a mistake for a regular customer. I have noticed that my nails last longer when I go to neighboring competing places and now, I will switch for good. read more

I've been going to this shop for a year now and the management changed a few months ago. they did a good job with my mani and pedi. Great shop, great service!!! The new owner is so sweet and welcoming. The manicurists are very professional and quite fast. I will recommend to all my friends. Quite simply the most worthless pedicure I've ever had (and over the course of my life, I've had hundreds). Time elapsed from the moment I sat down until the moment my last nail was painted: 18 minutes. It is not possible to do a good pedicure in 18 minutes. I still have cracks in my heels and calluses on my toes. It was basically a $33 polish change. Never again. read more

I did not have a great experience at this Salon. My nails were rushed, the technician was rough, and the massage was really short. And- my nails don't look great. The waxing was the worst I have ever had. It felt like the person had no training. And to top it all off, the prices are so much higher than other nearby salons where I've had better services. I was pretty shocked that the prices were so out of sync with similar stores. I did like the atmosphere- it is new, and clean and has a nice ambiance. read more

The people in here are so nice! They do give you a neck massage while your nails are drying. They even cover your feet in plastic wrap and put your socks and shoes on after the pedicure! They did an excellent job and the way the manicure was done it looks like I shouldn't have any chipping for a good week. I'm very pleased! read more

This place is A-MAZING! I work in Evanston, close to Wilmette which is how I found this gem, but I will drive myself all the way to Wilmette from the city just to get my nails done here. The prices are on par with city prices for nails and 17 dollars for a manicure and 30 for a pedicure. Manicures include parrafin wax, hot towels, shoulder massage and a hot cinnamon spiced wrap for your neck in the colder months! The pedicures last forever and the massage is always excellent! The staff is super friendly, and I always leave feeling relaxed. In addition, as a wedding gift, they gave me a manicure on the house last summer! Can't find the time or money to spend at a spa? I took my 12 year old cousin here over the holidays. While my cousin received great service, the lady who was attending to me neglected the massage parts and had the salon's appointment book and phone right next to her while doing my nails. She even answered calls and at one point she was painting my nails while talking on the phone. Nevertheless she did a very sloppy job and I was very displeased with my manicure. read more

I went here during my break, as a walk in. Ive been here 3 times before and all other times were fine. I went in For a mani pedi. Was told it would be a half hour. I told them I'd come back but would probably only have time for a mani. As I only had so much time before my next shift. They maybe didn't understand and the lady was getting back at me for it. But It was probably one of the worst manicures I had ever had. When you go in you expect to have your nails trimmed if you want ,filed, shaped, buffed, cleaned, cuticles cut, not only did she forgot the cuticle water she tried to blame me for it. Was very rough pushing them up. Before she even used any softener. When you go in to get your nails done your fingers get soaked and cuticle oil is added. She forgot the water then was very reluctant to get any. Did a poor job on the cuticles i had a cut and she doused it with nail polish remover I didnt realize at the time she hadn't even shaped my nails to a rounder shape like I asked. Or clean underneath. I was distracted by the movie playing at times but I'm not someone who would make a scene and by then I had already been told to pay. I noticed this at the end. My nails were lopsided and sharp at some points. It's been 3 days and already its started peeling. Dont do walk ins.they dont treat you well. read more

I'm so disappointed with my service the last two times I've gone to Forever Young Nails, especially since I get my nails done there at least once a month for a while now. The first time I thought it was a fluke that I didn't get a massage, but I totally dismissed it because I've been a long time customer. This afternoon service was terrible. I had an appointment at 3:45pm and they didn't start my nails until 4:25pm with very little apology. I was with a group of friends that all were either finished or almost done by the time they started my nails. (We all had 3:45pm appointments) Then, as I'm getting my nails done, the lady accidentally scratches me with the ring she was wearing. My nails were fine, but when I shared my disappointment with the overall service, it was completely ignored. And to top it all off, I didn't get a massage and the rest of the girls did! Stopped by this nail salon because I was in the area running errands and had to get a quick fix on my chipped nails. Fabulous job by the nail technician. I got a nice shoulder and neck massage and the technician was so sincere and kind. Everyone there are such kind people. I had 3 ladies help me with my coat and shoes and making sure my toes were all dried before putting my shoes back on. And of course, superb job on the nails I got a mani/pedi and it's been almost a week and hasn't chipped. THANK YOU! Will definitely be stopping by every time I'm in the area! read more

I've been here about 4 or 5 times. Generally, what someone else wrote is true: they are speedy, but in my experience usually fairly careful (usually they do a complete pedicure in about 20 minutes). The toenail polish jobs last a long time. On Saturdays, especially if they are busy, it seems they often forget to give the neck rubs and give very token calf rubs. This AM, my pedicurist was noticably "absent": she was more intent on watching the video than on getting the job done--I sat for about five minutes in the pedicure chair, as the water in the tub (where she had me place my feet) got hotter and hotter, but she never checked on the temp, as she was too intent on watching the video with her back to me, while fumbling to put on her gloves--definitely not good customer-oriented form. If this were my only visit, I would give the place one star, but the other visits have been consistently at the 4 star level...so that rating will win out. I mention this here in the hope that they read these reviews. read more

Worst acrylic fill ever. I was unable to get my nails done at the normal place so I came here. First of all, I was visiting form California, and I have never been charged $30 for a fill. That is insane! In fact I have never paid more than $21. I came ten minutes early for my appointment, yet I still had to wait 15 minutes after my scheduled time, when I could see lots of employees in the back. The woman used the same machine tip for the whole job, instead of switching to the different and necessary tips for certain nail tasks. This sliced the entire cuticles and finger pads on two nails (after being raw for a few days, they were scabbed over for about a week). She completely buffed off my old nails and proceeded to put a layer of acrylic on that was as thin as a coat of nail polish. Needless to say within a week I only had three and a half acrylic nails left. When I went back to my regular place, I had to get a whole new set (which cost $30). read more

I have been cared for by manager Jamie and the staff at Forever Young for several years. The atmosphere appealed to me at once - soothing and organized, clean and lovely. Greetings are also prompt and friendly. Although people (men and women) often walk in I call in advance because I'm usually on a tight schedule from work. It's often quite busy but they are always right in time when I'm expected. I usually get a regular pedi and mani and I love that the technician does a foot and leg massage for pedis and a neck massage when clients are first seated for manis while your hands are in paraffin wax (standard with all manis and on the heels for all pedis) AND a good hand/arm massage during mani AND one last additional rub when first seated at drying station after mani! What a bonus! I have found most of the techs to be very pleasant, conscientious and fastidious. They are friendly but not too chatty which I like. I especially recommend the work of Lauren and Kate. Prices seems very reasonable to me. read more
