I came in with a low back injury and Rachel was incredibly informed and helped me to rehab and work on building core strength. WOW! I tried out Rachel's class a couple weeks ago and I was so impressed. She is professional, personable, and provides great guidance during class. She not only shows you how to do the pilates moves, but she also walks around and readjusts everyone's form to ensure proper technique. I am so looking forward to the next class. I was not sure if I should post a review. Rachel is 5 stars all the way and the prices are very affordable but if I leaked that on yelp, will it be hard for me to get future appointment slots? I guess I just have to do the right thing by this gal and book my future appointments in advance ha-ha! I am as stagnant as they come. I'm the kind of girl that would probably only run if I was being chased down by a knife. I hate exercising, but Rachel tricked me into having fun and feeling good. To my surprised, I was sore the next day cause I apparently worked out...what a trick! I am definitely addicted. I got into her classes on a crazy deal I found on Lifebooker but definitely will keep this going. I love the way she corrects me and the one on one attention I so desperately need. I would be too off in a group class and probably not show if I felt I couldn't keep up. I think private classes are the best if you can afford it, but even if you can't, you should do a few of these so you can handle the terms/position in the group classes. read more

It's a time machine -- I'm now 2 years younger after one session. I have been into fitness and dance for years and Rachel is amazingly talented at checking form. And she has super cool equipment to work your bod in ways you've never moved before. You feel energized, stretched and healthy afterwards. I came to this Pilates studio after trying 2 other places. I had a car accident and due to my injuries I wasn't able to workout for more then a year. Rachel helped me get back on my feet, back in shape, and to lose the extra weight. One of the most important things Rachel did for me is help ease the worry that I would injure my neck again. I have been lucky enough to take pilates from Rachel for almost 2 years! She is an amazing teacher who gets to know exactly what is best for each of her clients. I love that she helps correct your movements, making the slightest changes so you can really feel the exercise. I realize after a few years & 3 location moves I have never written a review raving about Forever Young & Rachel, but I think it's because I was being selfish wanting to keep this studio a secret for myself. I found Rachel through ClassPass & immediately became a regular, dropping ClassPass & going strictly to Forever Young. Although she has gone from sometimes having 5 reformers, to now only 2, I have ALWAYS felt like the class was my own private class. Rachel is so aware of each of my strengths & weaknesses, I feel like each class is specifically designed for me. I took a class here this morning through class pass and I couldn't be happier. This is only the 3rd reformer pilates class I've ever taken but Rachel is by far the best teacher I've had in any workout class. She's very attentive and hands on and since the class only consisted of 3 people (including myself) she was able to direct and instruct each persons individually to make sure we were doing everything correctly. A gem! Found by way of a "deal" but this is a keeper. Rachel provides affordable, private Pilates session in a Noho loft. Mostly work on the reformer but other equipment is used as well. I really like this set-up, no distractions of other students, expert and friendly instruction, and because it is so personalized we can build on my skill level and needs. I'd given +5 stars if it were possible. Rachel is such an amazing Pilates instructors. I had done a few Pilates classes before I went to see Rachel. I was amazed by how homey her Pilates place is. She has such positivity when she guides you through each move. I have a hard time with maintaining certain postures or keeping my abs tucked in. She has such a gentle and wonderful way of reminding me (I'm surprised she doesn't get tired of it!) All her reformer sessions are 1:1 so you really get her undivided attention to ensure you're doing things right, with correct posture. The small classes (3-4 students) are the next best thing to private instruction - they allow for individualized instruction, corrections, and modifications if you have any injuries. There are only five machines , so even when the class is "full", it's still like a semi-private lesson. Rachel is the most attentive Pilates instructor I've come across. And, if you have any previous injuries, she keeps that in mind and has you adjust positions accordingly. The Level 1 class is great for stretching, and Level 2 is more challenging and faster-paced.
