The nice thing is that I can ask her any and all questions about my eye situation and discuss any concerns, and she takes the time to educate me and reassure me about my eye health. At age 70, I take my eye health very seriously and appreciate the information she imparts, and also the knowledge that she would alert me to any serious problems and initiate an immediate referral to a specialist if need be. I came away with an updated eyeglass prescription. They have the glasses on-site, but one can also take that prescription to any other place.

She helped me figure out that my previous experience at Costco Optical has, in fact, been totally useless and wholly inaccurate--my prescription has been off for like...10 years??? No wonder I can't see at night! Ha ha! Turns out, my bizarre and highly astigmatismed eyeballs happen to be both nearsighted and farsighted on each respective side..and thus require a certain amount of due diligence and attention--all of which I have never experienced at any other optometrist prior to coming to this place. Literally, one side of my contact prescription was off by 1.5 points or whatever they use to measure it--i mean, what?? Should I contact my car insurance to dispute any claim against any minor car accidents that I may or may not have been involved in over the past DECADE since I LITERALLY COULDN'T SEE!!!?? These ladies including the optometrist are very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. They all did a fantastic job helping me. The process was very smooth and took less than an hour. The office had state of the art technology and my daughter had an extremely thorough eye exam. They had a huge selection of frames (even for kids)! I want to be very clear about what happened here…read more I explicitly told the office that I was planning to purchase Meta (Ray-Ban Meta) smart glasses and that I needed my pupillary distance (PD) to order them. I explained that I was advised to ask for my PD specifically for that reason. I was then told directly that they could not give me my PD because it is "frame-specific." That statement is false for single-vision distance lenses, which is exactly what Meta glasses use. PD is a measurement of the patient, not the frame. Only segment height applies to progressives -- which I was not ordering. After refusing to provide the PD, they then pivoted and suggested that I could buy the Meta glasses and bring them back so they could do the lenses themselves, which made the earlier refusal feel intentional and misleading. If PD were truly "not available," that option wouldn't magically fix the issue. This felt like a deliberate attempt to block me from ordering elsewhere and redirect the purchase back to their office by withholding basic information I'm entitled to. That's not patient-centered care -- it's sales pressure. The exam itself was fine, but the dishonesty afterward completely ruined the experience. I won't be returning, and I'd caution anyone who wants to purchase glasses outside their office to be prepared for resistance.
