Ummmm who's that's sexy deep voiced man that I heard the back?? Holy smokes. They say a woman falls in love with what she hears...but no worries! Meagan helped me fall in love with what I see--because for the first time, I could actually see! I'm serious. I saw Dr. Ishi, who I seriously cannot recommend enough -- she's truly amazing. She helped me figure out that my previous experience at Costco Optical has, in fact, been totally useless and wholly inaccurate--my prescription has been off for like...10 years??? No wonder I can't see at night! Ha ha! Turns out, my bizarre and highly astigmatismed eyeballs happen to be both nearsighted and farsighted on each respective side..and thus require a certain amount of due diligence and attention--all of which I have never experienced at any other optometrist prior to coming to this place. Literally, one side of my contact prescription was off by 1.5 points or whatever they use to measure it--i mean, what?? Should I contact my car insurance to dispute any claim against any minor car accidents that I may or may not have been involved in over the past DECADE since I LITERALLY COULDN'T SEE!!!?? Dr. Ishi is incredible. Megan is a sweetheart who helped me pick glasses that not only fit, but ~*flattered*~ my large and in charge face. Because of this wonderful team, I can FINALLY see for the first time in my life. Can't recommend this place enough! 10/10. Ps; and not to be super creepy or anything...as I still don't know that deep and mysterious voice I heard but I think I'm low key in love. I seriously can't wait to go back!! Today I visited Spectrum Eyecare for the first time and it was an appointment booked about 2 to 3 weeks ago. The receptionist Riley, the technician April, the optometrist Dr. Ishii and the optician Megan were all very nice and patient. These ladies including the optometrist are very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. They all did a fantastic job helping me. The process was very smooth and took less than an hour. The visit was a pleasant experience and I wish I had come here for glasses earlier. I can't wait to have my new pair of glasses from Spectrum Eyecare. I was told it's going to take around 3 weeks. It's the holiday season now so it's understandable that it's taking longer than usual. I will not be coming back here ever again First mistake it was I ordered my new eyeglasses and took two months to come in , it turns out they forgot to put the order in . The most important one. I possible had retinal tear could lead to blindness and they said they couldn't take me. They had full appointments for me to go to ER . Emergency room, doctor, informed me don't handle eye cases that my eye doctor should've seen me this is very dangerous situation that supersedes any regular eye exam. My son was seen here by Dr Lam for the first time today, she's young, friendly and very knowledgeable. She is great with kids and took the time to explain what was going on with my sons eyes in a way that I was able to comprehend, I really appreciate that. The girl at the front desk is cheerful and friendly even while managing customers, doing tasks for the doctor and making appointments, I really liked her. Finally, the women who helped my son pick glasses was helpful and nice. Spectrum Optometry is a wonderful business. The optometrist is very patient and will answer all questions. I've had my daughters eyes checked here twice. They're very friendly and thorough. The staff is always very friendly. They've always been on time for our appointments. I appreciate not having to wait around. My daughter had both a glasses and contacts prescription done here. Her glasses look great and they trained her on putting in and removing her contacts. They made sure she could do it on her own before leaving which I appreciated. New to the area, tried to call to see if they could just switch out my new lenses to the exact same frame but older pair. Their front desk staff was incredibly rude, questioning if it's even the same frame- I would know since they are MY glasses lol! Then she asked if I'm a patient after I stated I was new to the area and I said no I just stated I'm new- which then she began to say how "well you can be new to the area and visited us". Just super rude and not helpful. I understand having bad days but wow so sad people can be this rude. I can't imagine how they help anyone here - so glad this interaction happened so I know to avoid! read more

We have been coming here for several years now and have had nothing but great service and care from everyone in the office. While the short Friday and only occasional Saturday availability can make appointments challenging. They make up for it with great care and being prompt with your appointment time. No waiting around for an hour after your appointment time to be seen. I've recommended Spectrum to everyone looking for a new optometrist. The only real downside is you wont find a huge selection of frames, however what they have are priced right with a wide variety of styles. read more

Totally impressed with this business. First I got the name of this place from my vision insurance company. Was looking for a place near my home after traveling to Pasadena to Linden Optometry for so many years. I called to ask if I needed an appointment and was warmly greeted by a wonderful voice who offered her assistance immediately. I wish I could remember her name cause she actually remembered mine when I got there. I came in and was greeted with a smile. Quickly took my insurance card, filled out a very short mostly demographic information and picked my glasses. I did not need an exam cause my prescription is still current. This place is small but well organized, clean and 100% friendly great customer service. The physician (s) here should know they have winners and great people working for them. We love the staff and the facility is very clean. :) The staff help you in making a decision of what kind of glasses best fits with your face. So glad I came here! Everything was perfect and everyone was just so friendly and outstanding in what they do! Dr Wong was the best, the lady who did the eye testing was great, the reception are was perfect. No complaints at all. I can't wait to go back. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Reyes, I woke up with a horrendous discomfort (borderline pain) in my eyes this morning and after scouring the web for an ophthalmologist, I was lucky to find her. The sweet gal at the front was able to fit me in immediately and my problem was diagnosed and addressed in a matter of 30 minutes. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and very welcoming. I met with Dr. Swearingen and I HIGHLY recommend him if you're looking for a new optometrist. He has a very soothing way about him and he took time to ask detailed questions about my vision problems, I didn't feel rushed for time at all. I was apprehensive about getting another set of progressive lenses because my last ones from another optometrist weren't that great but I just picked up my glasses (I brought in my old frames) and they are FANTASTIC! Progressive lenses aren't cheap and although I thought it was a pricey I do love this place and will be sticking with them from now on for my entire family. There are a lot of places to get more affordable lenses and I've tried many, but I see a huge difference in the quality of both my new prescription and the lenses themselves. You really do need to make the investment into at least one pair of really well made eyeglasses. read more

Dr. Elizabeth Tsay was great. I came in because I felt something stuck in my eye, like a piece of rock that won't flush out. Turns out I had a scratch in the middle of my cornea with some inflammation. I was prescribed medication (super affordable), and after a week my eye no longer had the problem. Wonderful staff, very courteous, and I did not have to wait long. Thank you very much! read more

Just left this place. The receptionist, Sarah, is very friendly. The person who administered my eye test wasn't as friendly. I've been to numerous optometrist and ophthalmologist office and the test done at Spectrum are "mickey mouse" tests. They give you a so-called eye pressure test which I felt read inaccurate. I asked Dr Lam if she could give me a different eye pressure test. She said yes, put in the drops and her eye pressure pen was not functioning. Which, in my opinion, every optometrist should have all their equipment properly functioning to better serve their patients. I then asked Dr Lam for some eye drops medication which she said she didn't feel comfortable prescribing (unknown why). After advising her of the problem with my eye, she finally agreed to give me the prescription. I don't know why they even give you those tests since the doctor doesn't give you the results, unless you ask. She said those test are screeners. I feel they are just another way to rip off the insurance. I feel very dissatisfied with the service received and would not recommend this place. There are a lot of other optometrist that have functioning equipment and care about their patients concerns. read more

I have been a patient here for many years now. Even though I have moved out of the city, and this is also not on the way home from work (I pass my home to go here from work), I still come here because they are so phenomenal!!! Every single time I have called to book an appointment each person that answers the phone has been more than courteous and genuinely helpful. April has been an especially wonderful and familiar face in this optometry office! There have been a handful of rotating doctors, but I have never had a bad experience. They electronically have all the records and the doctor looks them over before seeing you. (I've been to other types of doctors where they read the history while you in the room with them). I recently saw Dr. Lam and she was really knowledgeable and great! They also have any type of contact lenses and a wide selection of frames in many colors, styles, etc. They will also try to order a frame for you if they can . I am extremely indecisive and the gals there are super helpful in finding the right frames for your personal taste. They don't pressure you just to spend money. I came here because my regular optometrist was booked for the week and I needed a new prescription ASAP. I will never return. From my first visit they kept trying to offer me tests I didn't need but I wasn't told it was optional until I asked, I was a bit put off by that. The optometrist switched me from a contact brand that I've worn for years claiming that they would soon be discontinued. 5 months later the new contacts I was prescribed were the ones that were discontinued and they wanted to charge me a new refitting fee to write my prescription for my old contacts.
