The owner Mouawad Guy Oaa Abo Ncle, whom when I purchased my 1st n 2nd pair of glasses was so nice and helpful; turned into a monster and was out of control getting in my face yelling at me while his food and saliva were coming out of his mouth. He was irate saying I broke my glasses on purpose and started throwing his own frames on display against the wall, and picked one frame, and said, see even then it didn't break. Oh my gosh he was screaming Liar, Liar to me at the top of his lungs. So he said he's not fixing them. He was the epitome of Dr Jekyll n Mr. Hyde. You never know people! Guy is amazing! I needed 3 prescription lenses filled for three vintage frames i purchased online, and my usual spot wasn't opened due to COVID. I lose glasses or end up breaking them a lot, and these frames were due to be filled for months now. I called Guy and he told me to take them in and that they'd be ready the next day. I went in and ended up fawning over their huge collection of unique vintage frames, along with current styles that are popular right now. I ended up buying a vintage pair of dead stock Givenchy frames to have lenses installed along with the other 3 frames i took in. There was zero pressure, and Guy was incredibly accommodating when i asked to try on different pairs. When i picked up my glasses the next day, Guy took his time to adjust the nose pads and arms of the glasses so that they fit perfectly. I called this guy, and there was some issue with the phone where I couldn't hear him. As I'm looking for other places to go, he calls me back, apologizes for the bad connection, and asks how he can help me. He said that he does indeed offer sunglasses repair and I told him I'd be in shortly. When I got there he was very friendly, and got right to work on my glasses. Despite meeting a new screw and a couple of adjustments, I asked him what I owed him at the end, and he said no charge!! I looked on Yelp for another shop I could go to and came across Foothill Optical Service. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by Guy who immediately came over to help me. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, and fortunately had the right screw in stock! I buy contacts from Guy, and he is awesome! Whenever I walk in he is so friendly and willing to help with whatever. Orders are always on time and his prices are so cheap compared to others! So I am am an idiot who tends to irresponsibly leave my glasses laying wherever. They are relatively new (got them over the summer) and the arm came off at the hinge. I was convinced these were done for and I'd just have to cough up money to get a brand new pair. I have been several times and Guy has been so great every time. Over the years, I've had experiences with him looking at my broken pair, he assesses, says "let me see what I can do", disappears into the back and comes out within 2-10 minutes. The glasses are fixed as if they were brand new. This time was no exception....and here's the icing on the cake: no charge!! Guy you are a glasses whisperer and my hero. Stopped by this spot today upon finding it on Yelp and I was not disappointed in the least. Guy had another customer so I had to wait, which I didn't mind because I knew I would get that same thorough service when it came to be my turn. I brought in a pair of sunglasses and glasses to get adjusted. He spent around 15 minutes on the both of them, carefully explaining to me how each should fit and waxing poetic about the nature of acetate and how people tend to throw away perfectly fine pairs of frames because they never properly adjusted them. Great shop, A/C was cranked up for a very hot day, and best of all, he did all the adjustments for me for free. Over the weekend I broke the hinge screw off my glasses. I took it in for repairs and although Guy tried diligently to extract the broken titanium screw, he couldn't. I ask him if he had another frame to fit my lenses and he offered a nice frame but I wanted a more durable one of which he found and I really appreciated him not trying to over sell me. We enjoyed a very pleasant conversation and it reminded me of what the lost art great customer service is all about. He has definitely earned a customer for life. I came here because of all the wonderful reviews and was not disappointed! Yesterday the "arm" hinge on my only pair of reading glass broke and brought them here to hopefully get them fixed ASAP. Apologies for not getting the kind gentleman's name that helped me, he took one look at my glasses and new exactly what was wrong and how to fix them. He took them and walked away for a few minutes to see if he had a replacement part and not 10 minutes later returned putting the final touches of the repair on my glasses.
