We hired Fork & Spoon Productions for our big day and it was WONDERFUL!!! They catered a delicious menu for us at the China Cabin in Tiburon in March. Anna and the team were a joy to work with at each step: from the initial planning sessions to the tasting to our celebration at the China Cabin, it was delicious and really hit the mark. THE TASTING: At the tasting, they had prepared our whole menu, and had also rented the exact china and tablesettings that we had discussed, so when we walked in we could get a wonderful sense of exactly how nicely everything would be presented for us. The food was flavorful, well seasoned, beautifully garnished, succulent, varied and overall a total win. We made some further refinements to the menu and rentals and the team was well prepared and happy to handle the details for us. THE BIG DAY: This was our biggest line item and investment of our Celebration Ceremony and it was well worth it! Guests raved about the arancini and the meatballs as well as the variety of the appetizers. For the main dishes, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the short ribs were rich, tender and flavorful. I enjoyed every flavor and dish that we had chosen. Our photographer ate with us too and even he remarked that it was the best chicken that he had had at a wedding in a long time! Oh -- I almost forgot about the hot chocolate bar -- YUM! I'm a big fan and not really a drinker myself, but I do enjoy a nice mug of hot chocolate. It was perfect! Sooooo tasty and elegantly presented. Kids and adults alike enjoyed it. They handled the rentals, the setup, serving, the bar, and the cleanup. Since this was in March, we had two possible layouts depending on whether it was predicted to rain. Fortunately we had a beautiful day, but I also had peace of mind knowing that we had a plan in case it rained. It was lovely! Thanks again Fork & Spoon! Not only was all of their food close to crazy perfection, but the staff preparing all of the fresh appetizers were quick, personable and genuinely excited about all of their creations. I recently put on a private affair and decided to go with Fork and Spoon. I was familiar with their work from a previous party they did for Level One vodka and like last time they really delivered. The crew arrived on time and fired up, their friendly and energetic vibe carried through the whole night. The apps prepared on site were delicious and finger friendly, no sticky messes to worry about. Highlights were the duck, a little zucchini app, and the mini s'more. The bartender and servers deftly handled the crowd and kept everyone sauced and well fed. Cleanup was excellent, after they left you'd have no idea their staff cranked in my kitchen for 5 hours. We had an offsite company event last night and Fork & Spoon did the catering for it. Everything from the planning, to the prep, to the presentation, and clean-up was impeccable. All of the servers were very friendly and you could tell they were having fun themselves. The food - and that's what really matters, isn't it - was out of this world. In addition to having a brilliant photographer on board for our wedding, our caterer outdid herself. If I could ever recommend a caterer for a special event to anyone, I would nail these guys down as soon as possible. We did not have a crazy multi billion dollar wedding and people are still commenting that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Like so many wedding vendors, it is really about the initial interview and we really enjoyed that process. When we went with another caterer, we felt like we were buying an automobile. On the other hand, Jenn was very clear about pricing, helped steer us the right way, and carried out our vision to the exact letter while staying in our budget and maintaining the style we wanted. Some wedding vendors have this attitude that you are a captive market and that you are subject to their every whim but we never felt that way with these guys. In addition to the wedding, they also did our rehearsal dinner. They were patient with the kids and were attentive to all my guests needs. Fork and Spoon takes care of everything. We had an on site manager for our facility but to be honest, Jennifer is the go to person. She is dialed into every aspect of your event and will take care of ANYTHING before it becomes an issue. Once you get the ball rolling with FnS, all the tiny details about the wedding that can make you crazy fall into place. Some catering companies just dish out food but with Fork and Spoon you pay for the reassurance that someone is handling business. Whether you decide to do sit down or do buffet, the food is great. If only there were more stars...I don't really know where to start. Fork & Spoon was our caterer for our wedding at the Conservatory of Flowers in September. After picking the venue, finding a caterer was what I was most nervous about. I emailed an inquiry and within 24 hours I was contacted by LeAnn. From the very first second I talked to LeAnn, I was immediately at ease. She became our lifesaver throughout the entire process. We started planning our menu right away. After developing our menu, we came in for a tasting where not only did Jonathan (the owner and head chef) serve us our food but he then spent an hour sitting with us and helping us with our timeline and giving us amazing suggestions for our day. I probably sent LeAnn 500 emails during our planning and she answered every single one. My husband and I wanted to do custom centerpieces and LeAnn was crucial in helping our vision come to life. On the day of our wedding, LeAnn set up our ceremony, hung our escort cards, arranged our custom cheese centerpieces, made all of our bouquets and boutonnieres, coordinated with all of our vendors, and then stayed afterward to pack up everything. Fork & Spoon was the most amazing caterer and the food was a whole other story. Living in San Francisco, we definitely had our share of foodies and they raved about the food. Fork and Spoon just catered our 36-person wedding and we can't say enough good things about them. From the very beginning of the process through the very end, they have impressed us with their creativity, friendliness, and professionalism. There were two things that sold us on them in the beginning. First, they seemed much more eager to personalize the menu to fit our wants and needs. Other caterers were more about presenting a list of things that they knew how to do and then getting us to choose from that list. Fork and Spoon was up for anything. Second, their bid was much more up front and clear. They were not the least expensive, but you could see very clearly what each thing cost - and we appreciated that. If you needed to cut costs, you could see where the money was going and decide what you might be willing to give up. Other caterers lumped odd things together and it did not feel completely honest. All through the process, they were very responsive and helpful. On the big day, they provided the food, flowers, cake, and all table/linen rentals. We did not have to worry about anything. Everyone raved about the food - everything was delicious. The service was equally impressive. They don't have 'kids' waiting tables, they have professional waiters and the service was warm and attentive. Multiple guests told us the next day that the waiters learned the names of all the guests and what they liked to drink and took care of them like family. Everyone had the time of their lives. It was everything I could have wished for and more. We have already starting thinking about our next event. Wanted something special for my Mom's 70th Birthday and the dinner party catered by Jonathan, James and Patrick was certainly everything we could have hoped for. We simply suggested some of my Mom's favorite foods and Jonathan came up with an elegant menu with delicious and seasonally appropriate fare. The food was on the level of the Ritz Carlton Dining Room. Comments from guests ranged from "everyone should have the opportunity to have a dinner like this," to "the best meal I've ever had." The service was top quality from appetizers to desert and no one had to ask for a beverage refill - Server James is charismatic and has amazing attention to detail. Jonathan managed the kitchen while Patrick executed perfectly cooked meat and fish dishes. I love Fork and Spoon and they haven't even catered my wedding yet! I found out about F&S at the Design you day Soiree at Amy Kuschel a few months back. The food was unbelievable! I had little morsel's in heaven every time I took a bite out of the mini blt's, mini cupcakes, some sort of meat on a stick (I know, so technical!) but what sealed the deal for me.....the butternut squash raviolini with brown sugar and truffle oil. To DIE for!!!! I was thinking about those thing's three weeks later!!! So I while I was lying in bed at 1am and thinking about them, I emailed F&S and the rest is history! We hired Fork and Spoon to cater our wedding and we were just blown away by them. I don't even know where to start, because they were just so incredible and played a huge role in what made our wedding so memorable not just to us, but to our guests. The Décor I worked with Laura who picked up right away on the vision I was sharing with her (think Anthropologie). We were having an outdoor wedding, a cocktail-style reception, and I wanted vintage-inspired furniture for our guests to lounge in. Laura helped craft my vision, found pieces that worked together, and figured out the layout for our venue. She really helped make it all come to life and was a pleasure to work with. The Food Holy cow. Holy freaking cow. People are still talking about the food. We still dream of the food. So many of our guests told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, full stop. I just want to go to eat at Fork and Spoon on a regular basis, that's how good they are. We were looking for our menu to have a Latin/Brazilian influence (that's where my family is from). We're talking about grilled meats, beans, salads, etc. Garrett, the chef at Fork and Spoon, just completely nailed it all. They grilled authentic cuts of meat and Brazilian sausage that made a few of our friends cry. No, seriously. Grown men who are grill masters came up to me, held my hand, and were like, "This is... I'm speechless. The meat... it's..." and their eyes teared up with joy. We had vegetarian black beans that people were just going nuts over. We had an all seafood paella with a proper "socarrat" (that nice burnt rice on the bottom). It was all outrageous! The Service Again, Fork and Spoon killed it here. Everyone working our wedding was just incredible. Service was impeccable. We had a few guests who were gluten intolerant. I hired Fork and Spoon for a client's housewarming party recently. There were about 75-80 guests in attendance, and we planned a heavy rotation of hors d'oeurves for the evening. Their prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was very good. F&S came to the rescue with some quick and easy additions to the menu when I found out we had 10 additional RSVPs 4 hours before the party started. My client and his guests were very pleased with the food and the service. The F&S staff was fantastic. They were professional, courteous, and helpful. I'm happy to say that there was plenty of food, despite the 10 or so extra mouths to feed. They kept me informed throughout the party and offered to help where they could. The servers went above and beyond - they helped direct people to the restrooms, hung up coats, and even helped out the bartender when he was in a pinch. As the evening came to a close, the F&S staff did an amazing job leaving our kitchen just as they'd found it. Truthfully, the service from Fork & Spoon completely delighted me. Long overdue, I must sing the praises of Fork and Spoon. They catered our wedding 2 years ago, and did the flowers, not to mention directing us to our wine vendor, setting up valet parking, and managing the flow of the whole event. The food was awesome, of course. So was the cake, which they managed to make beautiful and delicious and to our taste. Jonathan and Jennifer were both a pleasure to work with and took plenty of time with us. They were also willing to brainstorm and negotiate with us to create an event that we felt we could afford, yet still felt like nothing was missing and everything was top quality. They are not cheap, in fact they were the highest bid we got, but they were well worth it. I have recommended them many times, and we will use them the next time we have a big celebration. We just had Fork and Spoon cater our 150 person wedding at the Conservatory of Flowers and they were AMAZING! They made the wedding planning process so much less stressful to go through by coming with us to the venue to review the how the seating chart would work, working with my wife on the flower arraignments, and giving us everything we needed and more. Also, the food they serve is the best. All of our guests continue to talk about how good it was. The passed hors d'voires were plentiful, the salads delicious, and the main courses were to die for. After reading all the reviews I could, it's hard to believe they all gave 5 stars. I'm blown away! The service was impeccable, the food was pretty good and they left the place clean. What more can you ask for? It was a catered birthday party with an Asian theme. I liked the food. It was great. For the passed hors d'oeuvre: They had little buns stuffed with chicken or they called them "bao" like "cha su bao". Could have used a little more meat and flavor but not bad. They also had miniature fried wontons served with maitake mushrooms on a spoon with a soy based sauce, pretty tasty. The coconut shrimp were also pretty good with a soy dipping sauce. The dinner served buffet style was great. Stir-fried tofu served in radichio was pretty good. Pork wontons were ok. The meat skewers were good served with a great sauce, green onions and mushrooms. My favorite was the crispy duck with vegetables served on thin green onion pancake with plum sauce. Dessert was off the hook. Tangerine Pot de Creme with a sesame tuile All in all they know how to throw a party and cater to the guests. I would use them if I didn't want to cook myself! read more

They just catered our 100 person wedding in Half Moon Bay, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Both vegetarians and carnivores were going up for seconds and thirds. Jonathan is so smart and thoughtful and really knows all kinds of foods for all kinds of themes. When we approached him for our wild west wedding he generated a menu of BBQ and comfort foods that frankly blew our minds at the tasting. This is not a review on the food at all, but just the process of receiving a quote. I had asked for a quote back in December (over one month ago) and after receiving emails saying they were interested in catering for my wedding and would be providing me a quote shortly--I still have yet to receive it. It has almost been 5 weeks now. I had even spoken to someone on the phone about the details of the event and followed up a couple times via email, and each time I was told that I would be getting a quote soon. I totally get that everyone is busy and a wedding for them is probably an every day thing, but for those not in the business it's a wedding is a big deal, and people spend lots of time researching vendors. It would have just been nice to know that they wouldn't be able to accommodate my wedding from the beginning instead of waiting weeks just to find out no one would be sending information. I spoke with Jonathan on the phone and was immediately put at ease - he explained everything and assured me they could manage all the details. Jennifer then was scheduled for a site preview and was absolutely the best - providing insight and ideas that made our day a success. Event Day; Jennifer arrived as promised and managed the delivery of all rental items including a full kitchen and decorations. All the staff arrived on time and managed to convert our home in to a perfect celebration sensation. Candles, tables, linens - all arranged with perfection. Jonathan and his sous chef created absolute culinary masterpieces. Being a surprise party, the timing was critical and F&S were perfection. At one point prior to my wife's arrival as I was trying to get the place ready - I realized I had nothing to do, because everything was already being managed! Jennifer smiled and said "your job is to have a good time, we've got this". How wonderfully reassuring. And in fact they did. Whether it was ensuring food and drinks were fresh and available, to having a staff member greet guests at the door, everything was taken care of - and seamlessly. The production was, well seamless. There were so many details that I noticed later in the photographs that I never even realized Jennifer and her crew had taken care of. The food that Jonathan and his team produced was nothing short of fantastic. All of our guests continue to comment on not only the quality of the food, but the quality of the production. Bartender, servers, production and kitchen were all top notch. At the end of a very long day for them, Jennifer approached and asked if it was ok that they finish up. They set up a classy "left over" table and bar, cleaned and departed in a way that was amazing. All trash, dishes and glassware were removed, and we were left with a perfect venue for after hours celebration. Totally Flawless Fork and Spoon organized my mother's birthday party recently. With minimal guidance they combined the right food, service and decor for a great outdoor event. They were professional from the very start, sending several people to help us plan the evening. Their team had clear and good opinions, but were willing to take on our ideas, too. I cannot say enough good things about working with Jonathan and his wife Jennifer and their staff. Jonathan worked with me for months on the menu, design, and ambiance of the party. When it came time to execute they were on it all the way. The staff was exceptional, they served and catered to every one at the event beautifully - keeping in mind timing and the mood. The food was amazing - all day today I received compliments for the food, the decor, the setup, and the execution - no one could believe it was a catered event. Fork & Spoon catered our Sept 2010 wedding at the Montclair Women's Cultural Arts Club, and they did a great job. The food was delicious -- almost a year later we're still getting compliments from guests. The Fork & Spoon servers were friendly and attentive, and they fit themselves right in to the playful vibe of our wedding. Our party went late into the evening, and 2/3 of the way through the dancing they brought out freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to the guests -- a surprising and much appreciated touch that really shows that they're thinking about the flow of your event. But where Fork & Spoon really made a difference was in the weeks and months leading up to the event. Our event manager, Shaelyn, was a pleasure to deal with. She was pro-active, responsive, and thoughtful. She was patient and helpful as we felt our way through the planning, providing helpful suggestions and listening carefully to our requests. I never felt stressed out about anything to do with the catering, and that's a beautiful thing. On the day of the wedding Shaelyn was on site for the complete event. When the bus carrying the majority of our guests was late, causing our ceremony to start 30 minutes later than planned, she approached us about extending our cocktail hour and delaying dinner so that we'd have a chance to enjoy chatting with our guests after finishing all the post-ceremony photos. Fork and Spoon makes great food! My work team and I were busy on the first stages of a landscaping job at Jennifer and Jonathan's home, proprietors of Fork and Spoon, and were treated to a delicious Mexican themed lunch of tacos al pastor during our work break. As a new client, Jennifer's generous offer of lunch was warmly received and gave us an opportunity to talk and get to know one another a little more. The food was five-star, and as a big fan of Mexican food, I really enjoyed the traditional flavor and unique twist in the dish. The pork was slow cooked in a delicious green chili sauce, the refried beans tasty because of the bacon cooked in with them, and pickled cabbage, sour cream and fresh made pico de gallo all wrapped up into tasty tacos that were devoured within minutes. I can say that given my past experiences of catered food at parties, Fork and Spoon chefs know how to cook a good meal, and rank at the top of of my list of caterers. read more

The food was superb and the attention to detail was amazing. The guest still rave about the food. The food was refined and sophisticated and tailored specifically to our likes and dislikes.
