This is a gorgeous wedding shop!! I scheduled a few wedding dresses appointments and ForLove was one of them, mainly because it is local to the valley, its quality, and it's more affordable dresses. You know, I like the gowns they offer, and I like them as people, but they tell you buy larger than you are. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. Listen to your instinct. I spent over $3K on my dress but then over $1K on alterations because I decided to defer to what I thought was expertise. Even the guy they sent me to for alterations said that the dress that was ordered was way too large. I even told them I was going to lose weight but I guess that didn't matter to them. Because of that, the dress didn't hold exactly the right shape and the cups were too large (which is insane because I already have a large bust). Anyway, the gown was still gorgeous, but just not exactly what I tried on and cost WAY more than it should have in alterations because of them. read more

I said yes to the dress!! I had nothing but an amazing experience at For Love Bridal. First off, thank you to my incredible consultant, Tyra for everything! She was so knowledgeable, very kind, and made me feel super comfortable throughout the process. She made sure I didn't feel rushed and listened to everything that I had wanted and don't want. I came here for the first time in June to get a good idea of what kind of dress/silouhette/texture/fabric I wanted. I had a vision of what I wanted to look like but kept an open mind to try on all things to be sure. One by one, dress by dress, it became easier for a process of elimination. I then ended up falling in love with one dress that I liked on the hanger but wasn't expecting to fall in love with it. But I knew deep down, this was the dress. I didn't end up saying yes to it yet because i didn't have all my family. Two months later, since then, I haven't stopped thinking about it so I knew I had to go back. The worst experience ever! This horrible experience ended up being a story to forever tell friends because no one would or could even make this up! So we have a wedding five months away and ready to buy dress!! I called this place and asked for an appointment. To my surprise she said she had an appointment time available in 20 min. I said great we are driving nearby! She said what's your credit card number - I said I'm driving & I'll give it to you when we get there in 20 min. She said that won't work she needed my credit card number before we get there and suggested I go online and put in my credit card to make the appointment. I explained I was literally 6 min away and I can just give it to her when I get there. She said no and again asked me to go online since I couldn't give it to her while I was driving. So I arrive and while parked out front I go online and put in card info with the appointment time she gave me. When 3pm appointment time is ready I ring the bell and she comes to the door I said hi I put in my credit card. We have a 3 o'clock appointment that's the time you gave me. She said I know we just spoke on the phone but I don't see you in the system. I showed her on my phone the appointment time and she said oh that's the wrong bridal shop that's for the love of bridal we are for love bridal! I'm now confused and realize she never gave me her website!! I say all good I'm here now I'll just give you my credit card and call for the love of bridal and cancel that appointment which I did in front of her. She then tells us to have a seat and goes to the back of the store and when she comes back to the front says in a mean harsh tone don't touch the dresses....You need to sit down over there!! You cannot touch the dresses!! At this point my daughter and I looked at each other in disbelief because of her tone but thought maybe that was a hard rule and she would warm up. Then she says to follow her to another seat. There was only one other person in the whole store by the way and she says OK I need your credit card. I said since we can't touch the dresses or look at them why do you need my card again and she said it's their policy. So I gave her my card and the next thing out of her mouth is I see you have a baby with you, if the baby makes any noise at all we are going to have to REMOVE THE BABY FROM THE STORE! She Said in a prison guard at a high security trashy prison voice!! At this point my daughter is mortified and picks up her happy quiet baby from the stroller and carries her to the front to get away from this insane energy. Now she says to me your American Express is declining - I told her that's impossible because I don't have a limit and I've bought a car on that card before! I said maybe you put the number in wrong what number did you put in and I see she put in the wrong CVV - she clearly didn't know how to read an American Express card lol so now she rings in again and it's taking her a while!! I said wait what are you doing to my card? I'm getting fraud notices that you're ringing it up over and over again and it's going through! She said no it's not going through! At this point American Express puts my card on fraud alert & I looked through the card online and I see she's made 15 transactions. I'm not making this up 15 times she rang up my card and it went through!!! She said in her crazy insane prison guard voice your card is declining and I said well now it is because you rang me up 15 times!! Why would you ring my card up 15 times - that's insane!! *Remember we haven't even looked at dresses yet lol we've just been dealing with this prison guard! My daughter at this point is over it and walks out. I asked if she had a manager I could speak with, and she leaves for the back of store and doesn't come back out to the front!! I called for her but she didn't answer so i walked out in total disbelief that this really happened. My daughter and I were speechless!! My advice about this store on Ventura Blvd in the Valley is if you want a beautiful, fun experience wedding dress shopping don't even bother to walk in the front door of this place! It was truly like a prison guard working there ugh!!! Still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about the nightmare experience! Good news ....We found our dress and even a beautiful veil at another company and they were beyond nice!! But What a crazy experience!! lol I will attach pics of my credit card transactions the crazy prison guard lady rang in!! Again who rings in a card 15 freaking times!! Nut job!! lol read more

Tyra was such an amazing consultant/stylist and I'm so appreciative to her for her patience, knowledge, and overall welcoming and happy energy. She was so considerate of my opinions on the dresses and took each one constructively to bring another that fit the style I was trying to find. She honestly elevated the entire experience especially it being my first time trying wedding dresses on; my mom and best friends loved her too! For someone that doesn't necessarily like attention, Tyra made me feel comfortable in my own skin trying on all the dresses. It kills me to see how happy I was when I tried on the dress and thinking that I got the dress I wanted. The person who assisted me should've guided me better. Selection is limited to be honest. I wouldn't recommend. You can find similar dresses around town for less. It's unfortunate that it was such a big purchase for such a big day and it disappointed. Horrible experience at this boutique. Flew in from out of state for this appointment. The first question my stylist asked was my budget and when I mentioned no more than 4-5k she seemed to completely lose interest in me. I was shown dresses that were not the style I requested. I found one dress here I really liked and the stylist mentioned she would text everything over to me. I never received the information my maid of honor had to call and request the dress name and details and even the person who answered the phone was rude only focusing on giving us the cost of the dress ($2,500) which didn't matter to me. I wanted to know the color, neckline, direct link to the dress on the website so I could keep it on my list of contenders. After texting this shop a second time asking again for the details they sent over the cost which wasn't our question. The 2 girls at the front desk would look over during my consult and try on session, whisper and laugh amongst themselves. The shop gives mean girl vibes and if you as a customer give an impression that you aren't willing to spend a minimum of 5k here they do not care about selling you ANYTHING. I didn't like how I was treated, how I felt trying on dresses or even the interactions with staff after leaving.
