Capri and Anthony are the best!! Capri was my stylist and Anthony was there to help with measurements and sometimes styling as well. I saw the gowns at New York during fashion week, but I was nervous trying them on since I'm not the same size as the models and I also have mom bod. There were some dresses I had my eye on and I loved the design and fit of every gown! Capri was patient with me and helped me figure out which wedding dress looked best on me. I've been to many bridal boutiques and usually they just want me to choose a dress to make the sale, but Capri was honest and kind. I really wanted to love Galia Lahav, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the space felt cluttered. While some brides may walk in knowing exactly what they want, there are also brides who are just beginning their wedding dress shopping and are looking for guidance from their bridal stylist. The stylist I was paired with (I won't mention any names) became noticeably snarky when I explained that I wasn't sure what I was looking for in a dress. I mentioned that I had only tried on ballgowns. When I asked if she could suggest what she thought I should start with, she chuckled and said something along the lines of needing to get to know me better before she could pull dresses. As someone who works in sales, I would have expected a stylist to pull a variety of options--for example, an A-line, a fitted dress with an overskirt, and something new from the trunk show. I wasn't expecting to try on a ballgown at Galia based on the styles they offer. While I did try on a few dresses, the sizing didn't seem very inclusive, especially for plus-size or curvier brides. I was told that dresses could be ordered in the needed size, but it was still a letdown. Additionally, the carpets were dirty, the dresses appeared to be packed rather carelessly, and after a while, they all started to look the same. For the price point, which is quite high, I expected a more polished experience. The dresses should be dry-cleaned, the carpets updated, and the stylists should be more professional and organized. Overall, it felt more like a downtown boutique than an upscale couture store, especially considering the 10k+ price range. I was very very impressed with my experience at Galia Lahav. I didn't know what to expect after this being my 7th bridal shop. I am a CURVY GIRL and I just wasn't finding anything I LOVED. I think as someone with a butt and boobs, if I find something that looks good, that's good enough since it's so hard to find things that fit well. Well, Galia Lahav caters to us curvy women. I am between a size 16 and the fact that basically every sample dress is a lace up corset to try on so it doesn't have to be clipped is so helpful. You don't have the have the dress be lace up but is nice to have the dresses when you try on be like this so you can see how it fits your body better. But my experience would not have been possible without ANTHONY. He asked all the right questions, said all the right things, and really knew how to listen to me to find what I wanted exactly. I had a terrible experience at Galia Lahav with the stylist Taylor. In fact, after the appointment, I impulsively bought a dress with a designer I'd already visited entirely because I never wanted to have such a negative experience again. Taylor made her opinions clear. When I called out a certain style I'd liked online, she made a face and said it was an interesting choice but would pull it out anyway. When I was waiting to get changed in the fitting room, she would stop to text before helping me put on the dress. It feels so vulnerable being nearly naked in a fitting room with someone else, and waiting for her to finish texting other people while in the room with me made me feel so much worse. When we'd walk out to show my party the dresses, she wouldn't fluff the skirts, either -- my future mother-in-law would have to get off the couch, fluff them for me, then sit back down. When I would start walking back to the fitting room, my friends said she would watch Taylor making faces towards the receptionist behind my back. I guess she didn't realize they could see the expressions she was making in the mirror. I made a joke about having dress blindness, which she seemed to cling to. At the end of the appointment, she lectured me about trying on too many dresses at too many different boutiques and told me I should probably make a decision soon. I have been to three boutiques (including Galia) and my wedding is in June 2026. Considering I was willing to spend upwards of $12,000, I expected a better experience. I have had incredible experiences with other high end designers and found Galia's customer service extremely disappointing and far from the professional experience you should expect at designer stores. It's been a few months since my appointment and I wasn't going to write a review (I wrestle with feeling like I should've spoken up), but I've been encouraged by some friends and coworkers to share. I had a screenshot of the Fabiana gown in my phone for over a year when I made my appointment to try on wedding dresses. I did make an appointment at one other dress store before heading over to Galia, but no luck. When I arrived at the flagship store in LA I was first greeted by Desiree, who was extremely helpful and patient, especially when it came to the opinions of my family. I showed her the screenshot of the Fabiana dress and she directed me to the dressing room. At first, I wasn't entirely certain about Fabiana and tried on a few other dresses. At the very end I decided I would try her on one more time, and that's when I knew she was the one. At my first dress fitting I met Pat, whom I immediately loved. She turned the dress of my dreams into the dress of my reality. She eased my nerves and assured me that the dress fitting process was indeed a process, and while the dress was made with my measurements, there was still work at hand to make it fit perfectly. She also designed my wedding cape/shawl, which I wore to the church ceremony over my gown. By the second fitting, she had made all changes that we spoke about, which included changing/adding material to the dress neckline, hemming the bottom, and adding a bustle. Such a beautiful store if you are looking for a wedding or a celebratory dress. Make sure you have an appointment, I do not think you can come in without an appointment. My appointment was about 2 hrs long because I tried on soooo many dresses. Parking is street parking and they are metered so be mindful of your time. There are 2 floors in this store. The first floor are the couture dresses that are 10k and above. The 2nd floor dresses start at 5k and up. The dresses are soooo gorgeous and made me feel like so beautiful.
