She made me feel like she would diminish the stress and burden I felt from planning my wedding. After hiring her, she told me that the budgets I had placed for each category wasn't enough for what I wanted. She tried to convince me to do things that she wanted so I had to go find vendors that were not part of her entourage. Not only did I have to plan my own wedding after hiring a wedding coordinator, but I had to deal with someone who challenged all of my ideas and choices and made me feel like they were tacky. The bottom line is that she added stress to my life while I was planning the wedding - exactly what I had wanted to avoid by hiring her. She made me add two vendor meals for her and a partner, but she was the only one there to eat. She set up a timeline and was supposed to instill the timeline and guide people to where they needed to be and that didn't happen. She didn't direct anything. She required me to do things for her on her website even though we had multiple conversations regarding all fields she needed filled out. Not only that, most of the stuff she was asking did not pertain to me, due to my small, intimate wedding. In other words, she added more work and stress to my life, not less. If you are looking for someone to plan your wedding for you and you have lots of money to spend, she would be perfect for you. However, if you are trying to staying within a budget, I highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Julie's demeanor is so calm and level-headed. What every bride needs in a good wedding coordinator!! We met with Julie every couple months leading up to the wedding. She would always pick locations that were convenient for us, she's so thoughtful. At our meetings, she would arrive on time (even EARLY!) I am a very prompt person, and just when I thought I could beat Julie there, I was wrong. She literally would always be at the location, snagging a table and have all her documents and notebooks out. Her organization is out of this world. What I really liked about Julie was that no idea/question I ever came up with was weird or dumb (it might have been but she never gave any indications of that haha!) She is a good listener and would always steer me in the right direction. Because Julie is so understanding, we also booked her as our florist so our meetings were super productive. Getting 2 things out of the way with one vendor during wedding planning is awesome! My husband and I told Julie our budget for flowers, provided some photos of what we liked and our color theme and left the rest up to her :) On the day of the wedding, Julie brought an assistant named April who was wonderful as well. I gave my tip envelopes for vendors and April passed them out by the end of the night. Really was such a relief to have someone do that for us! Even though it was just 2 of them, they worked their butts off for our wedding of 280 guests. They got the ceremony venue decorated, transported items, and set up a different reception venue. Overall, I thought the wedding day went very smoothly and if anything did go wrong, I didn't even know about it! I don't know what we would have done without Julie. Even though she was our Day of Coordinator, she was always available through email and text. She really puts care into your wedding day! I loved working with her company so much. Seriously just hire them When doing our initial wedding planner search, we were trying to find the team that best understood our vision, budget, and meshed with us the best. When we told Amy about our vision to have a baseball themed wedding, with a separate opening day ceremony the evening before, her response was, "hell yea!" and then she proceeded to tell us about her family's love of baseball and additional rental items her team could provide to help us achieve this vision. Her prices were significantly more affordable than other local planners we interviewed. It was important to us that we make our event kid-friendly, and she had lots of tips, tricks, and solutions on how we could do that without breaking the bank. Amy and her team helped us search for venues, play around with decoration themes, booked dress appointments for us, shared vendor contacts, built the cross and arch displayed at the ceremony, and coordinated with everyone who would be a part of our wedding so we had less of that burden. I wouldn't say that my now husband and I were the "bridezilla-couple-from-hell" type but boy did we take forever to respond to a message and only to then reply back with 50 more questions. Amy and her team rolled with us and learned how to keep us on track with deadlines. If we had listened earlier in the process, we could have saved some time in booking our dream venue and florists - seriously, our venue was everything we wanted it to be, and our florist was the kindest woman alive - both of these came from Amy's preferred vendor list. Love Like Crazy's biggest strength is their ability to pull you into their family and give you the local's only treatment. As a SoCal native, working with her felt like I was talking to my cousins or my school best friend - the only thing missing was tacos and beers (though champagne did arrive a couple times at meetings :P ). My husband and I are both middle children and often have a hard time having the attention all on us. In those moments when we were flustered, Amy was our biggest advocate. During our events, she was hustling and kicking butt making magic happen, yet she never broke a sweat. She was poised, organized, graceful, and friendly with all our guests, and helped us stay 100% engaged in the magic of our wedding weekend. Everything was beautiful, and so many people complimented us on how flawless it all went. Literal direct quotes: "You outdid yourself!" "One of the best weddings I have ever been to" "Congratulations!! It was seriously the best wedding I've ever been to.
