My husband got the jalapeño chicken and more than half the dish was large pieces of jalapeño. He likes spicy food, but even that was too spicy for him. There was hardly any chicken in it. I got the mu shu pork and it smelled like the inside of a garbage can. It tasted like it too. I couldn't eat it. It was something like $30 for both of us and it was definitely not worth it. Food was terrible. Not sure what happened. I used to love this place. I had the orange chicken. The server asked, after I ordered it, "you like crunchy"? I said yes. This was not just crunchy, it was chewy and bland. Not even a hint of orange. The lomain noodles were cooked ok but also flavorless. The best part about this lunch was the server. She was very fast and friendly. Should have heeded the fact that no one was here. The decor has not changed in years my sweat was lumpy and the vinyl was peeling apart. My boyfriend and I had gotten sick from the flu and wanted something that wasn't fast food and good. We tried their wonton soup and their lo mien both chicken and pork and they are amazing. I've gone twice now and plan to go back more. And the lady at the counter was very sweet and even by the second time she remembered who I was and I liked that. read more

I WISH I could put 0 stars. Their food is NASTY. It feels like they only cooked the bad pieces of chicken and put SALTY sauce on top. The rice is TERRIBLE, and so was the service! My last order was mostly inedible. The beef tendon salad and the noodles were unbearably salty. The hot and sour soup was weirdly sweet.

The food was good. They didn't use gel sauces that are thick and gross. Wahoo!! The hot and sour was great, lots of pepper and hot oil. I had the sesame chicken and hot honey sauce was perfect and the chicken wasn't over cooked. The food was hot and delish. The ladies that served us were quick and accommodating. Nice and pleasant. I will admit the windows were dirty from parents letting they kids put their sticky hands all over them. I recommend to them to clean for better ambiance. This place is gross. I first went here 3 years ago and the food was terrible and never came back. I should have known seeing as there was never any cars in the parking lot. Speed up today where I decided to give it a shot again after wok on wheels wasn't answering their phone and I've seen cars in their parking lot for once. Well, those cars in their parking lot are obviously idiots from the west coast that fled here after they destroyed their states by voting for psychopaths because it wasn't any good again. Then the woman wouldn't replace my food because she was claiming everyone likes it.. hmmm really? I got back on the phone with the guy and asked to replace it. I used to love going to Formosa but it has gone downhill. I ordered pot stickers for take out that were burnt, called them and asked for a refund. I didn't have time to drive back there and wait for new ones. The manager was super rude and unwilling to refund me. read more

First of all how is everything taste? - Is okay, due to the low expectation I had, this place taste alright fall right under my expectation, so if just the taste I would definitely give a 4 out of 5 because this place is in Logan, unlike Chicago or NYC the amount of people around here are limited, the restaurant is limited, this idea made this restaurant outstanding, and aslo made them the best Chinese restaurant around here. What i mean is this place taste the best in Logan Chinese food industry. So if it tastes good why did i gave out 2 star, first the unprofessional, under the same price as New York City, the waiters aren't well trained which directly cause some of the problem which like the simplest thing type of box they should give to the customer for take out, for some reason they give me a box for soup which made me confused. This place has bland, soggy food and slow as molasses, stupidly unfriendly service. My sister and I came in here on a whim one night and I am so glad we did! They have an American menu and a more authentic menu. We got the walnut shrimp and something that I think was happy Formosa. I don't remember the name for sure. The walnut shrimp were the best I have had in logan. The breading wasn't too heavy and the sauce was less mayo than I've had other places. It was terrific. We ordered sweet and sour chicken. Th entree came with fried rice and chicken lo mein. Also it came with egg drop soup and one fried shrimp and two wontons. It was all delicious and the veggies and such were obviously cut fresh. Th flavor of the sweet and sour was just the way I like it. Our server was prompt and friendly. It was pretty busy for a Sunday night but not many restaurants open in Logan on Sunday's. They had music playing when we arrived arrived, which we enjoyed. But they noticeably turned it off when the restaurant seemed to get more full. So I could notice more customers conversations. Not my favorite and part of why I didn't give it 5 stars. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Cache Valley. They have fast and friendly service and the food is delicious. Our favorites are King Pao Chicken, Shrimp Green Beans, Chicken Lo-Mien and Chicken Fried Rice, ( we especially love that the chicken fried rice has pieces of cut up chicken and not just a couple of shredded chicken pieces. Formosa has been around for a very long time and has a respectable local reputation. I ordered the tiny spicy chicken lunch special. It came with a large amount of chicken & rice, egg roll, and soup. The portion is big enough for almost 2 people. The quality of the food was better than I expected for cheap Chinese food. From out of town and had a very long day, was craving Chinese foods and was driving by. Pulled in on the late side of things but was welcomed warmly and seated. I have to say it was a pleasant experience with very attentive service. I enjoyed the quirky banter and positive attitude from the young help. I read the reviews as I sat and waited for the food to arrive. It was a short wait. Either people love the place or the don't, I'm not in love with it but the food was good and the service even better. It's greasy Chinese and it's tastes good. But the service needs help. I ordered takeout at 6:15pm for a 7:00pm pickup. I arrived at 6:55pm and left at 7:45pm. The takeout pick-up line was 6 people deep when I left...some people who called in while I was waiting, got their food and left before me. Customers waiting for tables stood there for 5-10 minutes. When I asked for a discount for the wait, I was given 10% off my next order. Might as well have not given anything. The food seemed fresh and they had lots of different options. Their lunch menu was a great deal as well (well under $10 for an entree, egg roll, fried rice, and soup) I took my order to go and they were quick and had everything bagged and packaged well-- nothing was spilled or lopsided (unlike other experiences I've had in the past with other places). We were those people who went out to eat on Christmas Day. And it was a good choice! The place was busy (seeing as it was one of four restaurants in town open) but they got us seated very quickly. The food took a little longer to get out, but that was due to the number of people there. The portions were big for the price, and the food was good! My husband and I both got a combo, and it was worth it for the sides: soup, wontons, lo mein, and fried rice plus an entree (there were 57 choices!). Our family of 4 (including 2 small kids) LOVE Formosa! You can get SO much delicious food for such a reasonable amount of money. We get the dinner for 2 and all enjoy plenty of food, plus leftovers the next day. I love the variety, getting soups, wontons, egg rolls, rice and 2 different entrees is awesome if you enjoy having more than one item in a meal. I appreciate that it's usually not overly busy. The one time we went on a Friday night it was unusually packed, may have been a holiday weekend, but the staff was so helpful to put a couple of tables together for our large group and managed to stay on top of everything, with a smile, all night. My favorite thing about this place is their homemade menu's. It looks like some stay at home mommy bloggers scrapbooking project that got horribly out of control. I really do hate to slam a local business, particularly one where the nice folks working at the place appear to be giving it their best shot, but this really has to be said... Formosa Restaurant. Whoa. The hostess sat us without menus, then brought two waters for a three-person party. No biggie, I thought, we'll just wait a bit. She finally brought over the third water while our daughter was practicing pronouncing the names of the animals on the menu. The hostess complemented out daughter's Chinese. While I was beaming, I forgot to ask for menus. "No problem," I said. "She'll be back." When we finally got tired of waiting I stood up and walked over to grab a cuple of menus from the front of the restaurant. The server noticed, walked over to apologize and then -- before we even had a chance to open the menus -- asked us what we wanted to order. "It'll just take one minute," I said. She returned about 10 minutes later. The menu was a bit confusing. Seems that there are three or four different dinner specials, but it's not clear what the difference is between all of them, save for the price. Lots of asterisks. One note on the menu suggested substitutions could be made for a little extra cash. Never one to let a few dollars stand in the way of the meal I'd like to eat, I asked for a substitution. "We don't do that," the server said. But this note here? On the bottom of the menu? The one that says you do substitutions for a few extra bucks? I mean, I'll gladly pay the extra money. She consulted with another server. "Nope," they said. "OK, no big deal. I'll just have it like you've got it on the menu here." "How about steamed rice?" my partner asked. "Can I have that instead of fried rice?" "No steamed rice." "Oh," my partner said. "OK then. Whatever you have is fine." The hot and sour soup came fast. OK, I thought, that's a good sign.
