Very disappointed. We were looking to break away for a relaxing weekend since being cooped up from the Covid. There are probably 50 open camping spots and they put all four of us side by side cramped in. It's the closest spots we have experienced. Bad management. Fine if you are just stopping for a night but if looking to camp for a few days, go elsewhere. We are rather than staying for the rest of our reservati

We stayed at this KOA Journey 3/5/2021 to 3/6/2021 . Desk staff woman was exceptional. I changed my date from 5th to 6th . On the 5th I had to call to reverse back to the 5th night stay ! No problem she said and changed it without any problems! Made our stay less stressful to accommodate my changing plans at last minute. The lady escort to our cabin was very pleasant. I didn't catch her name unfortunately but also was exceptional and answered my questions I had asked when we arrived at the cabin ! The bathrooms with showers were within short walking distance and were very clean inside with no bugs either which was great ! I would say the only small downfall is it's so close to I-75 you can hear all the traffic noice! We kept the air conditioner on to drown out the noise! Air Conditioner worked great ! Wasn't so bad then ! We did get a goodnight sleep . We stayed in Kaybin 5 . The fan didn't work but light did ! Maintenance wasn't available since it was after 6 . Would we stay here again ?? Yes definitely we would !

    Broken playground.

We were kicked out! Read full story below: We knew we were in trouble as we drove through the grounds. For lack of a better word, this place was dumpy, & we were searching for the silver lining, but it did not come. Our "long term site" was bordering the Frontage Rd. of a hectic interstate, & so loud I couldn't even think. It was separated from the busy road by a mere 2-ft-tall guardrail. Unlevel site with potholes, & a neighbor with 4 vehicles allowed on their site. When I asked initially to change sites, the "escort" said "Nothing else. You can stay here, or get a refund." So rude! This site was no place for a child to live, so I went to negotiate in office. The noise & safety were a huge concern. They said they would switch us to a "better nightly rate site," so we agreed since my husband's job gives a lodging stipend. Our rate went from $530/mo. up to $1200/mo. This was great for them, as they more than doubled their earnings off of us for the next 1-3 months. Our new site was better, but by no means a great place for our child to live for an extended period. It had dilapidated campers everywhere, campers not held to any standard of care of their sites, unlevel site with drop-off, broken playground equipment wrapped in yellow caution tape, dirty/outdated restrooms, multiple (2-4) vehicles parked at every site, outdated "amenities," & safety was a clear issue. The "pond" was essentially a ditch with water & fountain. There was nearly a dog fight in the couple of hours we were there between residents. During setup, I received a phone call from the office that "unfortunately" they had decided they were going to charge us for both the monthly site AND the nightly site. It seemed very unkind, dishonest, & greedy! I went to sort things out. They told me they wanted to charge us $293 for all the days since we made a reservation on 8/25/20, even though they knew we would not be arriving & checking-in until 9/10/20... a "holding fee." All that on top of the $1200 we were about to pay for the next month. We said no, & instead committed to 2 nights, & to unhappily pay the difference. This should have totaled $380. Next thing I know, the manager hands me a receipt for $829! THE LAST STRAW! She now wanted me to pay for all "the nights held" at the nightly rate instead. I protested! If anything, I should pay $530 for a month (not even stayed), plus 2 nights at $43.50/night rate, but even that was highway robbery! If they wanted to charge us for "holding a spot," then fine, charge us the $293 plus 2 additional nights = $380, which was what we agreed to initially, until she began changing her tune. At that point in the heated conversation, the manager said she was terminating our stay, but would still be charging us $530 (for nothing). We were there for a total of 2.25 hrs, & never got fully set up at either of the sites. She kicked us out with TODDLER in tow at 8:30 PM. HEARTLESS! In all honesty, this place is a "glorified trailer park," & so dumpy. They have a poor moral compass & business practices as well. Will be reporting to BBB. Please, don't stay here!

We lived there about five months while my husband worked at the plant.. And by the way, my husband has nothing to do with this review. I'm about to write.. I have pondered on it for a month.. Let me explain. I have been sick for nearly a year, I have liver disease. Sometimes I can barely walk and sometimes I'm laid up up in the bed four days. I didn't have no insurance at the time so I ordered my medicine online as it was cheaper. We were told that we could have our mail sent there to the RV park. Now I'm not saying I'm not wrong in this. I have my wrongs.. We moved in about June.. Problem started immediately. I could be doing nothing and still he had some attitude and talk to me like I was trash. He just built a new place for the trailers to park well one time my husband just got off work working 10 hours and another rig was pulling in so my husband thought well I could go take this road. It'll be fine. Its not a big deal.. (again we meant no harm) A couple days later, I went to pay our rent and Keith laid into me for my husband taking that dirt road that he didn't know that he wasn't supposed to take. Instead of going to the man, he treated the woman a sick woman like crap. This is where I will admit I was wrong. I want to say October 30th I got a notification that my package was delivered a.k.a. my medication. Normally, Stephanie or whoever will take the mail from the regular mailbox and put it into the mailbox under the cider tree. I hadn't ate in three months and I am crying while writing this review. I got a notification that my medicine was delivered. I know that you're not supposed to go in anybody else's mailbox or whatever but I was headed out to put gas to my truck anyway and it was on the way now before I got there. I texted him no answer., I called him no answer so I just stopped at the mailbox, my package always comes in a little brown envelope. I seen my little brown envelope. I gently pulled it. I didn't pull anybody else's stuff out.. I got back in my truck and I left to go get my gas, not even two seconds later, he was calling back my phone. I explained to him who I was, and what was going on. I was chipper and smiles when I answer that call. I explained to him what I did Word for Word for what I just told everyone of y'all. He like nobody's business. I am a woman. I was desperate. I would have never went and got my mail if I wasn't just so hungry, but I couldn't eat. I knew as soon as I took the medicine that I was going to be able to have an appetite again.. Every time I try to explain myself to him, he cut me off. He was so mean and so ugly. I'm not that person I don't go looking for trouble. I'm not a thief or a liar.. And you made me feel like both that day. Even though I knew I didn't do anything intentional.. Who do you think you are yelling at another woman? Someone else's wife? You are blessed my husband is a changed man. I did not really think it was gonna go that way. We hung up but not without him saying we will deal with this later first and I went to the gas station and cried for 15 minutes. I don't think he would have ever talked to my husband or any of the roadie hands at that park the way he spoke to me. We got an eviction notice about a month later. Why didn't you give me the eviction notice that day or the next day if I was so horrible why'd you wait a whole month? We didn't even wait the entire month. We paid our rent for November and we left November 14th.. We had till November 30th and you have yet to refund our payment for that two weeks. I did not recommend anybody, especially a woman going and staying at the park. Keith, the way you spoke to me was disgusting. I told you that I'll tell you now, I meant no harm. I am not that person that goes around looking for trouble. I don't know why you hated me and spoke to me the way you did but God bless you. I see you a church going man too. You probably should be the first one at the altar. Thank you for causing more problems for me for something I did not even realize was gonna turn into something so big. Is this how you talk to your wife? You are a sad excuse for a man, much less than business owner. Now I know why people video record everything because if I would've knew what I know now I would've recorded that conversation and how you spoke to me. Have the day you deserve. I suggest you refund the two weeks you owe us. And furthermore, he couldn't even deliver the eviction notice to my husband, he had his little helper Stephanie another woman do it and by the way, I'm not saying anything bad about Stephanie to my face. She was great. You are a coward my friend and I hope you never get any more business from a real roadie hand. But you owe us two weeks. . Again, thank you and have your day.

The owner of the park comes up to him and asked how our son is doing, then hands him home made pound cake and said he is praying for us and our son. Told us to have some coffee and the cake and relax some. This may not be the biggest or elaborate park we have stayed in but the service and compassion from the people here is above 5 stars. If you are ever in Forsyth, Georgia please stay at L&D RV Park. The owner's are new and have big plans for this park and with a heart as big as theirs I know it will only get bigger and better. The sites are pull thru with 20/30/50 amp, sewer and water. They have a pool, laundry room, and very clean bathrooms. A covered picnic table area, and grass area to walk the dogs. Very quiet and friendly people.

We only stayed one night,…read morebut it was exactly what we needed, and I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area. The campground is tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Mauk, Georgia, and has such a charming, relaxing atmosphere. They offer a little bit of everything--primitive campsites, adorable yurts, RV sites, and more comfortable campsites like the one we stayed in. We stayed at Site 3, which had a nice view of the main house and one of the horses. If you're looking for the best sunset views, I'd recommend requesting Site 4. It has a platform overlooking the small farm and is the perfect spot to enjoy the evening. One thing people should know is that there is a train nearby, and you'll hear it every 15-30 minutes or so. Unless you're an extremely light sleeper who needs complete silence, I don't think it's an issue. It certainly didn't take away from our experience. The bathhouse was clean, cute, and had hot showers. My only suggestion for improvement would be the motion-sensor lights--they turn off pretty quickly, so you'll find yourself waving your arms while you're in the shower or even sitting in the restroom to keep the lights on. There's also a small camp store, which is a nice bonus. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. and left around 10:00 the next morning, so we didn't have a chance to explore everything, but our stay was peaceful, quiet, and very enjoyable. Thank you to the owners for creating such a welcoming little campground. We truly appreciated the hospitality and loved starting our adventure here. I would definitely recommend Piney Hills Campground and would happily stay here again.
