It was a level above any other room we have tried. Additionally, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and engaged. F'ing EPIC! This was by far the most detail oriented and prop enhanced room we have ever done and we've been doing them for a few years now. There puzzles were challenging and sooo cool! There were 3.5 rooms to get into and the game master helped (but not too much) when we needed a hint. My 9 year old had a blast and found a lot of the clues and my 18 year old solved a lot of the puzzles. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves puzzles and very immersive rooms. read more

We did the Raven's quest room last weekend. It was a lot more mentally involved than some we've done. The issue we had was with the guy running it. We had 5 people in two different areas and when we asked for the last clue, he didn't specify whom he was talking to or trying to direct, kept up a running commentary on how we "were hysterical to watch", and overall wasn't keeping to the operation or spirit of the game. We were less than 10 seconds from completing it when time ran out. I hope they get some new rooms, but I wouldn't want to do any he was running. read more

Did the steampunk themed escape run with a group of 4. The room was incredibly well designed with a ton of challenging puzzles. While we didn't come close to escaping (it was advertised as hard, and lived up to it). This was far and away the best escape room we've done. The game master was great as well. read more

I took a group of preteen girls here and we all had a blast! We did Kingdom of the Dragon, a medieval fantasy themed room. If you like Dungeons and Dragons, you'll get a kick out of this. The puzzles are challenging but rewarding, and the props and puzzles make sense in the context of the room. They have an alien themed room and a steampunk themed room that I'm dying to try next. We did the Kingdom of the Dragon room. We had a good time but got a bit frustrated because we had a few issues. First, we collected pieces to be placed on this map. It said once we put the pieces on the correct spot of the map, we'd get our next clue. We figured out where each piece went but nothing happened. No clue. Thinking we were wrong, we kept rereading the clues and moving the puzzle pieces to other locations on the map but still nothing happened. After several times of rereading the clues and changing the placement of the puzzle pieces on the map only to end up with our puzzle pieces in the spots we started off with, the host came over the speaker and told us the map wasn't working correctly and we had in fact had it correct the first time. We wasted a bit of time because we kept changing it thinking our first choice was wrong when it wasn't. Also, we were allowed to move to another room before we had all the clues for the next room. All of the sudden the door open and thinking we had all we needed from that room, we proceeded to the next room through the open door. While trying to figure out a clue in the next room, and being totally confused because it wasn't making sense we were told we had actually left a clue in the last room and had to go back and find it. That was a bit frustrating and again we wasted time trying to solve a clue when we did not have everything we needed to solve it. read more

We're not new to escape rooms, we normally complete 2-3 a year. The Fort Collins Escape Room experience was amazing. The layout, design and decoration was outstanding and the staff was super professional. I would highly recommend Fort Collins Escape Room to anyone, regardless of experience/skill level. We took on Raven's Quest Adventure and found the story line to be clever and engaging while the puzzles were both fun and challenging. My rating might be a bit biased because this was my first escape room experience but, I have to say, Fort Collins Escape Room provided an outstanding experience. The customer service was fantastic from the moment the reservation was made and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I very much look forward to visiting them again! If you've never done an escape room, it sounds more ominous than it really is. In this particular experience, I never felt nervous, or in any danger (safety protocols are in place so you're not really trapped.) It's like solving a giant puzzle comprised of a series of smaller puzzles and it tells a story as you explore the environment you're in. Well worth it! read more

This is the best escape room I've ever been to. The owner is very nice and friendly, and offers clues at the right times. But most importantly, the room itself is EXTREMELY well-designed. Honestly I have no idea where he gets some of the props and puzzles in the room. He told us that it took him about 3 months to build the room and after getting through it, I completely believe him. A group of friends and myself are currently addicted to the new escape rooms that are popping up everywhere (as well as the Can You Escape? app) and this is by far one of the best ones we have done! The whole puzzle has a very cool victorian/steampunk vibe that gives it a little something extra. The clues and puzzles are very clever in nature and challenging, but not so abstract or difficult that you get frustrated. If you do need a little help you are given a walkie talkie where you can ask up to three questions. If you need to ask a fourth you can barter for a specified time penalty. Their main goal is very clear... for you to have fun! Overall, if you are looking for a great team building activity or something different to do on a Friday or Saturday night, you will not be disappointed if you pick the Fort Collins Escape Room! Escape or no escape. P.S. - If you are choosing between this and the Enigma room, I would choose this one! read more

The craftsmanship that goes into these rooms is amazing and they are actually challenging and make you think instead of being puzzle games with fake clues and such.
