For the past several years, I had been coming here as it had been the venue used for the San Francisco Marathon race expo. While the venue was pretty big and spacious, getting here by vehicle can be troublesome. I had always opted to just walk here from my hotel. There's been a void of arts& crafts during this pandemic. Relief! West Coast Craft show is in town at Festival Pavilion. Vintage clothing, jewelry and even a few pastry & bread & alcohol makers! I loved the Sonoma Bakery's pear marscapone pastry! The marscapone complemented the pear. The pastry had buckwheat flour giving a slight sour tinge. Not sweet and just right for breakfast or snack. Also, some Bay Area artisans in the show who rarely attend these events! Fun. Free! Supporting artisans making wares and doing the crafts we may treasure.. This October there was the SF Fall Show, home decor and interior design. 4 days of design bliss with vendors from around the globe. I have been here for many events. I feel like I take it for granted even though there is so much to take in,, plus the view of the Golden Gate Bridge is nearby! For this event, we attended the SF Coffee Festival! I didn't see a review for the festival, otherwise, I would have reviewed it. The venue has restrooms at the entrance and a large space to accommodate plenty of vendors and two stages. Parking is available on site for a fee but it does fill up fast. If you can score off street, even better! There are lots of vendors, restaurants in the Fort Mason area to visit as well. read more

I use or visit this Pavillion as a guest and space renter. Guest - I have been here for fabric fair to collect exotic Japanese and Indonesian fabric. As a disabled person, it's hard to access due to lack of parking space I would like them to install condensed parking lots. Space Rental - I help plan and facilitate Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirit Powwow on first Saturday of February. Stadium seats, plastic floor chairs, sound system adaptability are workable for 3000 visitors to 5000 if it's a full day with vendors. Easy for vendors to unload and load. Not the easiest place to visit by bus. Sponsors and vendors know this location and can be profitable. BAAITS is growing and now has paid employees. Free Family Event Come at 10am. Grand entry at noon. Two-Spirit dancers, drummers, both men and women from nationwide will be there in the audience and performance. Kids and seniors will be there. Enjoy the fried bread and other food trucks. Every year, the Big Book Sale is worth a visit, and despite being on the water, it gets super sunny and hot just outside the entrance. My pup will sit in his carrier in the front of the shopping cart and nap while I peruse books and stack my purchases every year. I've been to other events held here such as the Renegade craft fair and they're always quite organized with plenty of walking room to visit vendors. It makes for a nice stroll through the Marina when I'm done, or even grabbing lunch at one of the local venues, such as Greens Restaurant -great Vegan eats. Definitely would recommend, it's all one level so accommodating for those who cannot climb stairs. read more

Attended: Generation Beauty SF Location: Knowing that Fort Mason's Center Pavilion Festival is located in the popular Marina district in SF, my friends and I opted out of driving and decided to take Uber to the Generation Beauty Event. The day before, my friend called the Fort Mason main office line (415) 345-7500 to check beforehand the parking situation. Apparently there are parking lots that are free and located in select areas around the Marina. But since there was also a farmers market event happening that day, we didn't want to go through the hassle of driving/parking. For people who are willing to drive, there is a parking lot right in the fort mason center. Parking prices for the weekend is: 0-1 Hour- $2 1-2 Hour- $5 2-3 Hour- $7 3-4 Hour- $10 4 plus hours - $12 Venue: Fort Mason's Center Pavilion Festival is a great venue to host the generation beauty event in SF. It was huge and accommodated well the gaggle of girls and guys that attended this makeup convention. Also, you can spot Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge from the pavillon which made waiting outside for the event to start not so bad. Event: Generation Beauty 2017 This was my first time attending the makeup event and it was like going into makeup heaven. Plenty of big beauty vendors like Mac, Benefit, Tarte, NYX, Revlon, Milani, Covergirl had booths at the event and there were smaller brands that I did not know of before. Props for the organizers of the event for having the taped lines on the floor at each booth that helped in crowd control and kept everyone in order while waiting to check out each booth. It was fun yet tiring going to each booth to pick up our free goodies/buy discounted makeup. Definitely came out the event feeling like I went on a makeup shopping spree. Tickets for this event was pricey but I say it's worth it for the beauty enthusiasts. read more

It was a great idea that the city of San Francisco could make wonderful use of all the old buildings and land left behind from when it was an old army base. The Festival Pavilion in particular is a huge spacious warehouse sized building that is used for many events such as concerts, conventions, art shows, food and wine tastings, banquet hall, lectures and parties that require room to house a large crowd. The exterior of the building is plain and nothing fancy. It pretty much matches all the other rows of barracks and office buildings stationed on the property. Parking is very limited and not as close as one would like. Public transportation is probably the best way to attend an event here, since driving access can be restrictive. The interior is very accommodating and spacious for any type of festivity, with convenient restrooms, and friendly staff that keep it maintained. There is also a dock right next to the Pavilion, but I'm not sure if it is still being utilized since it was void of people and closed off to the public on the day I was there. My boyfriend and I had a great time here when we attended the Eat Drink SF event. We got a lot of walking in and enjoyed the whole atmosphere! We hope to come here again and more often, now that we have found a less stressful way of getting to San Francisco from Sacramento! read more

See attached picture. This was my brain on chocolate after going to the SF Chocolate Salon. Thanks to a note from Kitty K. who let me know about stuff that goes on in my neighborhood. I'm clueless when it comes to things to do here. More bang for your buck than The Ghiradelli Festival, but also longer lines and more chaos. Like the two giggling girls that stood behind us in line for the half hour wait who were saying, "no, it's your birthday what do you want to do?" "Oh no, you decide, I don't know what to do." Back and forth for half an hour. My buddy and I had to drink more Kringle chocolate liqueur just to get through these lines with all the banter going back and forth. Great event though. read more

This review is for the NYE celebration. Great event put on by EyeHeartSF. T-Pain was the main performer along with Party Favor on the 1's n 2's. Great show. Excellent venue for this type of event. I got the VIP package with the open bar and VIP backstage hangout. Glad we choose to do that. They were serving Top Shelf alcohol. Lines were short n moved fast. Sound system was good. There were other things to do, such as the Ball Pit, enjoy the champagne bar. Watch the fireworks. One thing that was super FUN was the Silent Disco. It's where u go and put on these headphones and vibe to da music along with everyone else. That's where the party was at. Everyone was enjoying themselves, singing along. Having a GREAT time. EYEHEARTSF, this was one of the best parties that I've attended and it was well worth it. Looking forward to your next event. read more

As a surprise from my girlfriend, she took me here for the Spring 2018 San Francisco International Beer Festival. Not much to say other than we had an amazing time. The space was huge and packed full of friendly people all willing to share a drink with a toast. The bathrooms were very well kept and constantly under custodial supervision. As the night went on, and more and more drinks were spilled, they were just as quickly cleaned. I was very impressed with how well the event was run. read more

San Francisco Chronicle's 2010 wine competition was for lack of a better word.....PERFECT!!!! i came here with my very stylish and "LUCKY" parking buddy... i say that cause every time we go out i always seem to find the closest parking spots or garages and sure enough we did.... When i heard about this event i told her, we have to go... good thing we both love wine because when we passed through the entrance of this massive space after receiving our complimentary wine glasses... we couldn't believe our eyes.... the paper said over 4900 wine vendor's... talk about mind boggling.... not only that, they only give you 3hrs to try and sample all of them with a half wasted small city of people jammed packed in an airplane sized hangar.... My date had the right idea just try to taste the award winners and just a few of the smaller.... needless to say we had a blast!!!! We tried our favorites of course and even got a few surprises from some of our not so favorites... Oh and thank goodness the California Culinary academy was there... they had these cute little lamb "T" bone steaks grilled to perfection... they served 2 to each person... each steak had a different dry rub seasoning that was out of this world!!!! there were a few other food vendors there....but lets face it when it comes to grilled meat nothing can compare... if your a meat lover like me!!!! GAWD!!!! I hope the SF chronicle does this again next!!!! well worth the price of admission and parking hassle!!!! read more

Away from the Pier and the Fisherman's Wharf, Fort Mason is tucked away when you walked up a small hill and lo and behold a small piece of the city that's surrounded by the gorgeous Golden Gate, park and the Marina. I went here for a Wine & Chocolate festival this past weekend and I can't decide if I enjoyed the event more or the breath taking views of this hideaway gem. Thank goodness for the beautiful weather, I was able to soak in the sun as well as enjoying the tranquil views everywhere I turned. I highly suggest anyone who's not from the bay area to check out the Marina and Fort Mason at least once, you'll definitely fall in love! read more

I went to see Tears for Fears with a friend about a year ago or so. It wasn't very fun getting there, it just being in the city, but some of the streets on the way to it were incredibly steep! The venue itself was ok, kind of small which is actually good since we were sitting in the very back aisle were a little thin, not made for a tall person. I had to keep my legs crushed up against myself which wasn't so bad because we were standing for a lot of it. Bathrooms were clean and the staff was polite. I would go again if a band I wanted to see was playing there. I may look into public transportation though. read more

I have been to many an event here, ranging from Bay to Breakers packet pick up/expo, craft fair, chocolate festival, etc. There is usually a great turnout at all events and it is a large yet comfortable space. Only gripe is parking can be horrific if there are multiple things going on at once. There are no close parking garages and there is really not much to do but stalk someone for a spot. read more

Trying to say a few words about Fort Mason for Yelp, I was a bit confused because there are so many entry titles to choose from. Fort Mason Center, Fort Mason Pavilion, etc. Basically, Fort Mason is a great place to go, especially for events, like the October Fest, Book Fair, etc. On a clear sunny day it is delightful. The view of the Bay along the water and of course the Marina is stunning. I am really happy that Fort Mason was renovated and preserved after its time as a military base and port. People need to really recognize how places like Fort Mason are a treasure for everyone to enjoy and not take them too much for granted. MUNI Bus line #28 is the easiest way to get there. The bus stops right outside the gate of Fort Mason. read more

Came here for West Coast Craft. This is a large and long pier like pavilion center that runs along the bay. This huge space was great for the event and imagine it hosts many others throughout the year. With its warehouse like triangular roof and natural lighting, FMCFP is a unique space that compliments SF nicely. Step out one of the side doors and get a great view of the Golden Gate bridge or Alcatraz. Washrooms are available and eco-conscious receptacles were plenty around the event. read more

Come here a lot for events especially off-the-grid. It always seems to be super cold here so make sure you wear enough layers or thick jackets. They have cool sailboats at the docks and a free and priced parking lot for events that are held there. Lots of history behind this location, but a nice place to stroll around if you're ever in the area. read more
