It was sometimes challenging to find a tube for my son to ride in (it felt like a free-for-all!) but we managed to secure one most of the time. We wanted to ride Big Bear Plunge one more time before we left, but by that time the line was exceedingly long and our 4 year old was definitely not going to wait, so we just peaced out. The food was OK but not great, as expected. I liked that they offered complimentary water for everyone, since it was quite hot. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Then the bathrooms were horrible, I bet Dolly wouldn't use them!! I was only here because I have a 2 park season pass but these kids will not get me back to this water park. Yall can have it. I'll stick to the theme park.

While many compare it to Disney World, I don't think the overall experience is on the same level, even though Dollywood may actually have more rides. The biggest area needing improvement is parking. It took us nearly an hour to get into the park because traffic was backed up and all cars were directed into the Splash Country parking . We had to exit, re-enter, and ask an employee to open the cones so we could get into the correct entrance. Having separate, open (not closed with cones) clearly marked lanes for Dollywood and Splash Country would make the process much smoother. Simple fix . I also recommend upgrading to Preferred Parking. The standard parking tram lines were very long, while Preferred Parking lets you park much closer and walk straight to the entrance. Another improvement would be adding digital wait time signs at each ride. None of the rides indicated that so you could be in line anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours ! Having to open the app each ride and scroll through a massive list to see wait times in the heat isn't very convenient. Wait times on the app are also not available remotely as with Disney so you could properly decide the right time to go , can only can be seen when you are in the park. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and may return.

Parking costs $25, so it's something to include in your budget before you arrive. One thing to know before you go is that if you want unlimited fountain drink refills, you'll need to purchase a refillable cup. The cup costs around $30, and you must scan it each time you refill your drink. One of the highlights of our visit was exploring Dolly Parton's museums. They were beautiful, informative, and gave us a deeper appreciation for Dolly's life, career, and accomplishments. I left the park a new fan! We spent about six hours at Dollywood and still didn't have enough time to see everything. There's so much to explore that you could easily spend an entire day or even two there. We didn't have a full meal while we were at the park, but we enjoyed several snacks, including churro fries, a pretzel, and nachos, which were all tasty. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Dollywood to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly destination. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes, budget for parking and drink refills if you plan to purchase them, and allow plenty of time to experience everything the park has to offer! The location is close to Smokey Mountain park. We stayed for a wedding that was happening offsite. Since we arrived later than planned, we were not pressured for a timeshare presentation. Check-in was rushed. We had not stayed at Westgate prior and were not told the rooms were not serviced by housekeeping so that was a surprise. We were told there would be parking in front of our building but there wasn't any. The most serious flaw is the lack of ada enabled and ground entry rooms. Our building, which they called a cabin was a three level walk up, not senior or disability friendly at all. The booking site does not address this. You share an entryway with another room with a washing machine in between. Thankfully our neighbors were quiet. We were told at check in the restaurant closes at 9pm and when we called the front desk and asked if the bar had food, they said no. Again this was not true the bar has food until 10pm. The coffee does not open until 9am! Pizza can be delivered until 9:45. The room was cramped. It says sleeps four but that's two people on the small pull out. The room was clean. The tv was pretty bad, colors were off. The coffee pot was cheap and leaked. The lower level pool bathrooms were out of service for 3 or 4 days. This is just too long to be acceptable. The other pools were super packed. The shuttle bus drivers were super helpful with information and dropping us at our building. Maintenance workers were friendly as well.

At the time of purchase, however, the benefits and promises presented made those risks feel reasonable. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have made it clear that those expectations are not being met. The condition of our room was unacceptable. We encountered dead bugs, hair in the sink, fingerprints covering the mirror, a broken fan, a broken closet door and overall filth . Even more concerning was the overwhelming smell of marijuana and cigarettes in what is advertised as a non-smoking facility. When we brought these issues forward, the response we received was not only unhelpful, but unprofessional. An employee named Brad Reed was dismissive, condescending, and openly sarcastic, at one point stating, "Well apparently we won't ever see you again." Rather than addressing the situation, we were told the resort was completely full and that the only option was to send housekeeping. In the same conversation, we were also told that purchasing an upgraded room would "ensure we wouldn't have any more problems." The implication was difficult to ignore. After declining to spend additional money, our concerns were effectively dismissed. However, when we escalated the situation to a front desk manager, we were immediately moved to another room without issue, directly contradicting what we were told about availability. This raises serious concerns about how guest issues are handled. It appears that responsiveness may depend less on the validity of the concern and more on a willingness to spend more money. This experience reflects poorly not only on the condition of the property, but on the integrity of the service model. Cleanliness, honesty, and basic professionalism should not be conditional. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this resort. Travelers should carefully consider other options in the area that prioritize transparency, accountability, and guest care.

The beds were comfy, pillows were thin and horrible, but I bring my own pillows for a reason We were initially placed in a room with a leaking refrigerator that gave off a strong sour milk odor. Staff was called and came up with the bright idea of applying disinfectant and assured us the room "should be good," but the smell now became" lavender flavored sour milk" and never improved. After nearly 20 hours we were finally moved to the room across the hall. While the second room was somewhat better, we were still greeted by that same sour mold smell every time we stepped into the hallway. Eventually, day 3 we requested yet another room. Three rooms in three days is simply too much moving for anyone trying to enjoy a vacation. They should have never put anyone in the initial room to begin with. Because of this and the repeated room issues and the disruption to my vacation they caused, I have to give this stay 0 stars for accommodations, despite the otherwise enjoyable facilities and dining experience. I would recommend that you find a groupon/deal to get it at a cheaper rate rather than the usual $50/ticket they offer it for because I genuinely do not think it is worth the $50. I would definitely NOT recommend the fun pass for adults, but would for children (at the discounted price). Our second day on the mountain, we went snowboarding and that was a very fun time for my group and I. Ober has snow machines, so it is not real snow and instead is icy, artificial snow. I can imagine during the colder season, it may be softer and covered much more. I went in early January for reference. The employees are very nice with helping you strap in boots and understanding how to strap into board as well. I decided to do a lesson, which I would recommend for anyone who has not snowboarded before. Although I enjoyed my time, I do agree that it is fairly pricy, considering the size of the mountain compared to other resorts I have seen. I understand the weather determines which lifts are avaliable but the "snow" was ice, no where near snow texture. I think a day of snowboarding would cost roughly $150+ here for day pass and gear rental. My downsides for Ober are the price, the fun pass, and the snow.

It was definitely very cold, but the scenery made it completely worth it. Unfortunately, the mountain coasters were closed due to the rain turning into snow, but there were still plenty of other activities to enjoy. Upon our arrival we were greeted by friendly staff that helped us check in and arranged to have our baggage taken up to our room. They do offer valet parking and complementary self parking. They have an indoor pool, outdoor pool, fire pits, arcade, gym, spa, and even complementary s'mores in the evening. The service and staff were all wonderful! You get free preferred parking at Dollywood and timesavers for everyone in your party. 5/5 Star experience - we will 100% stay here next time we are in the area.

And this didn't disappoint. It was very relaxing and both wife and I felt very comfortable. I did apologize for my feet (I have gravel grippers) but they trooped on. The therapists were engaging as to what we'd like (I asked to kneaded like a bad pillow, and wife was less needy). But they adjusted accordingly and we were very appreciative It can be pricey (we had a resort discount though), but this is well worth the cost. It's okay to be a dude and get massaged with eucalyptus-coconut oils. I will not judge you.
