When my son developed a sudden cough on a Friday night, I checked the website to make sure Tricities had rapid Covid tests (it said they did, right on the landing page), and then drove 45 minutes to get him checked out. When I walked in, I was directed to a posted sign that said the office was out of rapid Covid tests. Okay, fine. Annoying that only people coming into the clinic would find that out, but I could take him somewhere else for that part. I said I would just get my son checked out to make sure nothing else was going on. Then I was informed that due to a "new policy", I needed prior authorization from our doctor to have him seen because of our HMO plan. The reason I brought him to urgent care is because it's the weekend and his doctor's office is closed. Thus, the "urgent" part. What's the point of an after-hours urgent facility if you need paperwork from your regular doctor to be seen there?! To top it all off, the receptionist was curt, unfeeling, and seemed almost triumphant that as she pointed out each new piece of information. Some suggestions: 1. If there aren't any rapid Covid tests, then that information should be posted on the website, perhaps on the landing page that claims there are rapid Covid tests. 2. A new policy that affects a large group, such as those with HMO insurance, should also be posted on the website. 3. A receptionist with a shred of friendliness sure would be a nice addition to the front desk. I can assure you we won't be back.

I called and spoke to Octavious, and he mentioned they only do so if you give them specific information about exposure. He also said Dr.K would call back, never did. So WHY would the Dr agree to testing I asked of if he wasn't able to do so? Why would he not simply ask had I been exposed? With the ortho follow up a full week later, it would be 3 weeks until I could learn if I needed surgery. All the while burning sick leave and vacation at work. So I called scheduling and tried to find an earlier date. The scheduler said they had a spot in Ft Worth today at 2:15. It was now 9:30 am, that office is at least a 2 hour drive, I said heck yeah sign me up! The scheduler said they would send me a text with the address and confirmation. I left just before noon....not wanting to be late and waste their time. BUT, i had not received the text. So I called the number while I was on my way 817-289-2002. Spoke to another very nice person. I let her know I had not received the confirmation text like they said I would, so I wanted to call and confirm the appointment and location....after all it was a 2 hour drive...... The scheduler was perplexed why I did not get the text but... joyously confirmed my appointment was good to go! She also let me know my part to pay was also $222. I said ok and kept driving. I arrived at 2:00 for the 2:15 appointment. Again, not wanting to waste anyone's time. I go into the office and let the clerk know Im there for my 2:15 appointment. I could tell she wasn't finding anything, so I added, its really at 2:30 but I came in early for the paperwork. The clerk said 'sir your appointment isn't for today because we have nobody here who can do it .' You had an appointment for the 27th and then the 21st, but it is not today. They know we don't have anyone here on Fridays to do the GAD.... She then says 'Are you sure you called the right place?' I showed her the number I called, and she looked perplexed....and said well thats our scheduling number.. I call the scheduler while Im standing there at the window. She once again confirms my appointment is for today..... but needs to check on things and puts me on hold. The phone rings right inside the window to the girls I was talking to...... Lots of Umhmmm, Umhmm....Uhmmm. Then girl number 2 says Did you call our scheduler.....I said yes Im on hold with here now......She then says OH she just called and asked us to reschedule you....... Can you come back monday????? What in the shit show is going on at this place? Talk about amateur hour. Nevermind I will have been driving 4-5 hours (Friday afternoon traffic leaving ft worth yay) I'm going elsewhere.......You guys can have it.

The lady doing my boyfriends iv was in a hurry so she did put his IV on a pressure bag and bolused it really quickly. While most of my IVs elsewhere take an hour to an hour and a half they bolused a liter into him in 20 minutes which seems like it could potentially be dangerous. He was fine though, didn't bruise since his veins are ropes and I trust that the nurse knew what she was doing in that circumstance so not a big deal. If she had tried to do that to me I'd question it. They have lots of unique treatments geared towards all genders and ages and health goals and I highly recommend checking out their services!

I got a call two business days ahead to tell me what my copay was. Great. Today was the appointment. I take a day off from work. I drive through horrendous traffic to get there because it's near downtown and I live in North Fort Worth. I get there and the girl at the front says that the doctor isn't there and "everyone was called." Well, they didn't call me. Except to tell me how much I'd pay upon arrival because I have an HSA and high-deductible plan. Then she asks if I want to see her partner. No. I do not want to see her partner. I scheduled an appointment WITH THIS SPECIFIC DOCTOR. Not her partner. If I wanted to see her partner, I would have scheduled an appointment WITH said partner. She also tried to pawn me off to the PA. If I had wanted to see someone other than the doctor I made an appointment with, I would have MADE AN APPOINTMENT with that person. I told the girl I took a day off for this appointment and that I was NOT happy that I would have to reschedule which won't happen now until mid-November. THEN she asked if I wanted to go to the place in Hulen. Why the hell would I drive even further on the off change the doctor would decide not to be in that day, too? The front desk was unapologetic in their explanation OR offerings of a reschedule. I am FURIOUS. If I had missed my appointment, I would have been charged a no-show fee. I should bill the doctor's office for making me miss a whole day of work AND driving to/from downtown when I live in North Fort Worth. And as it turns out, the rescheduled "appointment" wasn't even scheduled! The front desk people are ridiculous and clearly unorganized. If you're planning to go as a new patient, don't even bother. The front desk doesn't give a crap about you. And, apparently, neither does the doctor since she wasn't even there.
