I live in Granbury, but the closest urgent care is Tricities. We've been to this location a few times in the last year and had a good experience. Not so much this time. When my son developed a sudden cough on a Friday night, I checked the website to make sure Tricities had rapid Covid tests (it said they did, right on the landing page), and then drove 45 minutes to get him checked out. When I walked in, I was directed to a posted sign that said the office was out of rapid Covid tests. Okay, fine. Annoying that only people coming into the clinic would find that out, but I could take him somewhere else for that part. I said I would just get my son checked out to make sure nothing else was going on. Then I was informed that due to a "new policy", I needed prior authorization from our doctor to have him seen because of our HMO plan. The reason I brought him to urgent care is because it's the weekend and his doctor's office is closed. Thus, the "urgent" part. What's the point of an after-hours urgent facility if you need paperwork from your regular doctor to be seen there?! To top it all off, the receptionist was curt, unfeeling, and seemed almost triumphant that as she pointed out each new piece of information. Some suggestions: 1. If there aren't any rapid Covid tests, then that information should be posted on the website, perhaps on the landing page that claims there are rapid Covid tests. 2. A new policy that affects a large group, such as those with HMO insurance, should also be posted on the website. 3. A receptionist with a shred of friendliness sure would be a nice addition to the front desk. I can assure you we won't be back. read more

Made an appointment for 10 AM and was told to arrive 15-30 minutes early. Arrived at 9:30 and stayed in the waiting room until 10:30 when I got up and asked when my husband would be seen (he was having terrible back pain and had to sit in those awful waiting chairs while he was in pain) The receptionist told us there was 5 people still ahead of us 30 minutes after the time of our appointment. People had walked in and were being seen 10 minutes later while we had waited for an hour. We left and went to the ER instead. read more

Dealt with the rudest front desk receptionist today at around 1:30-2pm working for urgent care. She was a dark haired middle aged woman. When I walked in and asked a quick question (just pointed if I was going in the right direction & needed her acknowledgment) she rolled her eyes at me & was huffing & puffing that I had to inconvenience her for a few seconds. I'm a very friendly person & I could not believe I was treated that way as a new patient. I don't recall ever being treated that way at any business and I had to take time to write a review because it was so unprofessional! read more

I visited the glam science med spa inside the urgent care and received a fabulous hydra facial with Julia! Julia is knowledgeable, sweet, full of information and a fabulous esthetician ! Waste of time and money. I spent two hours there, the provider saw me for maybe 30 seconds. They tested me for strep and flu, said I was negative and sent me on my way. Literally not even a suggestion of an OTC med to take. No indication of whether they thought I was contagious? Not even the typical "drink lots of fluids" - nothing! The visit was entirely pointless and I wish I had saved my money and spent that time resting. read more

I brought my four year old in for the first time today, and let me say we'll be back! Dr. Kahn and his staff were so friendly, attentive and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. Plus they have a really cute little fire truck exam bed that my four year old loved. read more

Although the family medicine is no longer conducted at Tri Cities we still go to see Dr. Tarah in urgent care when we feel suddenly ill. This is the most poorly run urgent care in the county! I waited 4+ hours for a covid test. The lady at the front kept telling people it will be a 2 hour wait, 3 hour wait, 5 hour wait and finally she told an older gentlemen 8 hours! Who does this? Their waiting room was packed. You could wait in your car but they WONT call or text you when it's your turn. Needless to say, everyone waited inside so they wouldn't miss their turn! To say they are understaffed is an understatement. Get your act together!! Will never be back. It has consistently gone downhill each time I have gone in. read more

This place is slow Melissa the nurse is not very professional . She took my blood pressure and then asked me if I have high blood pressure . I had to ask the doctor what my blood pressure was being a little concerned . Front desk and doctor are excellent . Nurse Melissa not at all . I had to drag it out of her what procedure she was going to do on my ear . She would not explain . Go when Melissa's not working . And be prepared to be there a long while !! read more

Dr Kahn and his nurses and assistants are absolutely amazing!! Once you get past the front desk the back office is incredibly kind, very friendly and accommodating. When you're not feeling well, their bedside manner makes it all better! (Not to say the front desk isn't... but nothing can compare to how great they are in patient care behind the front desk). Plus, the cost is extremely effective and they don't nickel and dime you. It's clear what any/all charges are. Dr Kahn is someone you'd want as a primary care doctor to help the whole family. He is INCREDIBLE!!! He and Tri-Cities have my seal of approval , vote and absolute recommendation! read more

We were driving cross country from Arizona to Virginia, passing through Texas on Sunday. My wife developed the symptoms of a urinary infection, and Tri-City urgent care gave her excellent care even though we arrived at 7:30 PM. **NOT FRIENDLY TO VETERANS** My husband was feeling awful and pretty sure he had Covid. This facility is well known for offering Covid tests. When my husband arrived, the nurse came out and asked for his insurance. He told them his primary insurance is through the VA. The nurse said she could not see him because they don't "work" with VA patients. He then said, "O.K., I'm use to this, I am willing to be a self-pay patient today". They said that because he told them he was a veteran it was too late and they wouldn't see him and allow him to pay that day. Let me be clear: He was willing to pay cash that day but because he is a U.S. Veteran who usually goes to the VA they REFUSED to treat him. This is the type of behavior that causes our veterans to commit suicide. It is absolutely unacceptable and this facility should be avoided if you have any regard for veteran care. I called the facility and asked for the manager to call me back. I never received an explanation. My husband is a VA patient out of necessity because of a combat related injury. We are also responsible and have a secondary healthcare that covers us as "self-pay" patients because we don't live near a VA facility. Avoid this place at all cost. read more
