Who in their right mind puts cream cheese in a crunchy roll! The tempura was ok. I prefer a lighter batter, but the portions are generous. The blackberry ice tea was yummy. read more

I used to frequent this place a lot. I'm not sure why I stopped because the food is pretty decent and the sushi is decent for an Asian fusion type joint. Crispy beef is tasty stuff! read more

We greatly enjoyed our lunch. The Bento Box offered our favorite choices, was a very ample amount of excellently prepared additions, and was very reasonably priced. We will definitely return and are grateful to find another outstanding restaurant in this area of south valley. read more

We came in for the 50% off sushi rolls. My wife is Japanese, works at another sushi restaurant, and we eat a lot of sushi. We didn't expect a lot going in, but was seriously some of the worst we have had. Fish was questionable (smelled and was tough and old). I have had better sushi from all you can eat Chinese buffet places. Chinese food was better, but found a hair in the salad. Service was not bad. Decor not bad. We tried a few different dishes, beef with jalapeño, chicken lo mein and salmon teriyaki, and while they weren't bad, they weren't very good either. The chicken and salmon were dry and the beef was chewy. Also tried two sushi rolls, and while I hate wasting food we didn't finish one because it tasted like something had gone bad. read more

We love the Fortune Cookie! We have never been disappointed. Granted there aren't many options in Herriman but we love it here. We are regulars here and they always remember what we want for soups and drinks. They make us feel very welcome. Fabulous food. Try the walnut shrimp and the poker roll! I have been to Fortune Cookie a handful of times in the past few years, but after visiting them twice in the last month, I'm pretty disappointed. My husband and I ordered 5 sushi rolls, and all of them were subpar. We decided to give Fortune Cookie another chance and order their takeout, and I was extremely disappointed. I'm not a big Asian food aficionado, but I always like what I get here. I've had a lot of different things on the menu and never been disappointed. I like the teriyaki salmon and get that in a bento box pretty often. The service is good and the portions are big. read more

We order take-out from Fortune Cookie at least 2-3 times a month. They deliver super fast and 9/10 times our orders are correct (it depends who takes the order over the phone, honestly). The last time our order was wrong the sweet girl who usually answers the phone drove to our house and brought a whole new meal to make up for their mistake. Orange chicken is the best but get the sauce on the side so it's not soggy by the time you eat. I definitely would recommend this place unless you're on the east side then you must try Asian Star!! read more

This is a great Chinese restaurant close to home. My family always splits the dinner for 2 between the 3 of us and we never fail to have leftovers. You definitely get your money's worth here. We love the Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken. Their sushi rolls are always a great idea as well! The Playboy Roll, Utah Roll, Aloha, and Poker Roll are our absolute favorites. They staff are very sweet and all have great attitudes. read more

We are somewhat new to sushi and let our server know. He was great to offer suggestions so we could dip our toe in slowly. His suggestions were perfect. Horrible service, the only lil biatch server was rude AF. I asked if my dish came with steamed rice and she insisted rudely and demanded I answer her question" I asked you soup or salad? " I asked her again for rice and she asked again very rudely " I asked you soup or salad?" I was so shocked with her attitude and rudeness and was speechless. I had ordered the Family Delight Chef Special and it read in the menu description that it came w/ Jumbo Shrimp. When my dish came the shrimp were non existent. I walked up to her and asked if I could get shrimp in my dish. She said to talk to her mgr. Mgr. took my dish and brought it back with added Medium shrimp not Jumbo. ;( Horrible customer Service. She earned chump change of my sons as her tip for her rude ASS! Mgr. was acceptable with her prompt response, This so called wanna be server needs to be put on check or better yet fired. Super disappointed with this place. Went in with my family for lunch and the workers had family in eating, children running around screaming. We didn't get water for 10 minutes and didn't even have a server come up to us for half an hour. Never coming here again! They don't care about their customers read more

I've been going to Fortune Cookie since shortly after they opened. At first, I though, "strip mall Chinese with a generic name deep in the burbs of Utah" Pass. However, out of desperation, I finally tried it. WOW! Growing up in California, good Chinese food is easy to come by. Not so much in suburban Utah. However, this has quickly become one of my favorites. The house pan fried noodles are my favorite dish. The Chinese food is their strong point, but the sushi is good too. Good fish quality, just a limited selection and not as much of the creativity you find in a focused sushi bar. read more

I wouldn't listen to the other reviews that don't know how to add spice to their rolls and are probably the most picky eaters. Or complaint on how unauthentic this is because they've been to china before. Or how the sushi is over priced then half off. (I've had sushi at $30 a roll in other states, get out a little before you say that their sushi isn't priced right) Highly recommended. Close to 300 items. You can add anything to their sushi which some places won't do. So if you want spicy I recommend adding jalapeños to a roll. They have a large selection of food ( Japanese and Chinese). They even have the Chinese donuts. Love that they add pineapple to their sweet and sour. Get the sizzling mandarin and the playboy roll with jalapeños you won't be disappointed. read more

I should come with a warning label. Having lived in China and Taiwan, I really hate Americanized Chinese food. But, there are no authentic Chinese restaurants out here and so I have to make do with what I have. On a previous occasion I came here with a friend and we had sushi that was ok. Not amazing, but ok. This time coming I order takeout online because I needed something to appease my craving for Chinese. Umm, yeah. This was fine. It was Americanized to the hilt. Definitely not a fan. What an awful experience. First and last time me and my fiancé are ever going there! At first impression we are surprised we are the only two people in the restaurant, thinking we will get great and quick service. This was not the case... The server seemed nice enough at first but things went down hill very quickly. First she brings us DIRTY plates so we set them aside and share our roll on the plate it is served on, after getting our veggie rolls and two more sushi rolls our plates are stacking up so I kindly ask the lady server if she can remove them... her response " hold on " and continues talking to the sushi chef and one more working lady. I look around and we are still the only people is the restaurant she is simply to lazy to do her job. After about 5-10 minutes the sushi chef comes and clears the empty plates! He then goes back to prepare our last sushi roll, once completed he brings our last roll to us stopping by the small plates to give us something to eat on, but the lady server was not having it! She started yelling at him he tries to ignore her the first time but she got so loud and ripped the clean plates from him hands!!!! Worst server ever! You need to fire your sever because she is rude and disrespectful! That is not how you treat customers and it has turned us away for life. We will now continue to drive into salt lake to Ichiban Sushi for affordable sushi where the rolls are reasonably price and most importantly the staff is KIND!!! read more
