This was my second time here at Red 88 and I brought my family back to give it a try after enjoying my lunch last year. This time was not the case. We all found something we wanted to try on the menu and ordered with no issues. Our egg drop soup was hot and yummy but shortly (quickly!) after getting our soup, or food came out. My husband just spent 1.5 hours waiting in the lobby area on NYE. He did an online order through the restaurant website. Diners were sat, had dinner and left the whole time he was there. There were others receiving orders (DoorDash, UberEats especially) before him. He spent over $90 on rolls and was never compensated at all. They "threw in" a cheap roll as restitution. I ordered from Door Dash so have no ambiance to share but let's talk about the food! I ordered Mongolian Beef, Beef Fried Rice, Pot Stickers, and Tempura Veggies. Total was $52 with tip but I was able to make it into 3 meals so it was worth it. The Mongolian Beef was delicious and came with white rice. This was very good. The meal was hot, the beef tender and the vegetables were perfectly prepared. The Pot Stickers were very tasty. Had that char on the outside and a nice chew to the wrap... inside was chicken and had a nice scallion and ginger flavor. The dipping sauce was rice vinegar and soy sauce. A perfect blend. Everything was good hot & fresh . The egg drop soup was good . The chicken in the low mein could have had more flavor it was pretty bland but the noddles were good . I asked for some hot mustard for my egg roll & they gave me some sweet mustard that was not good . We also ordered the Mongolian beef combo came with ham fried rice , wontons, egg roll & egg drop soup . The beef was good but this dish mostly had onions & not a lot of beef . The ham fried rice is good & wontons were good also . The music they were playing in the restaurant was on a loop & it kept playing the same annoying song over & over so we finally had to tell a worker & they fixed it . Honestly, we enjoyed the rolls that we got but it was a bit of a mess. We all ordered two rolls each and they had them brought out mixed together in two large plates. So we had to sit there with the waiter to figure out which roll was which so everyone could get what we ordered. The servers were polite but we had told them on multiple occasions that we were going to split the check and pay separately and we were met with them not answering or responding. !Food Poisoning! - My family and I ordered last night through Uber Eats, all was well so far. We ordered the Vegas and Philadelphia Roll and their Salmon Roll, along with their Orange Chicken. They were so kind and threw in some egg drop soup, my family, and I have been going there for some time and never had a complaint. They always deliver and make delicious food. Unfortunately, I think they may have had a bad batch. I wanted to inform them of that. Today my family and I woke up vomiting all day and cold chills and all of us had the sushi. I wasn't sure if it has to do with the orange chicken but I think I recommend they go through their inventory and make sure they don't have any bad meat, so it does not get anybody else sick I hope I am wrong. The family had a hankering for Chinese food-and we needed something that could be delivered since none of the dining rooms are open currently. We ordered some of our favorites-wanting to see how they compare to other places we've had them. One order of General Tsao's Chicken and two orders of the Mongolian Beef. The ratio of meat to filler (vegetables) was overwhelmingly in the court of the veggies. The meat had an odd flavor-and was quite spicy. I wish I had known that ahead of ordering since I don't prefer spice. It didn't taste anything like Mongolian Beef I've had before. The soup was an interesting neon orange color-but it tasted fine. It was mostly broth with a little egg and a couple tiny morsels of vegetables. Overall, I may return, but would try something different. I did not love what I ordered. But there are plenty of other great reviews that lead me to believe there are good options here if I give it another chance. read more

They made comments about how much food we ordered in front of us and to our faces and while walking away and coming up to us with the last plates it wasn't just once they made three separate comments and we are paying customers but they had to judge how much food we were getting to feed a family of four and we went out for a Mother's Day dinner so I wasn't very pleased with them and I tried to call and complain about it over the phone and all they could do is act like they couldn't understand what I was saying. I'm not a picky eater, but from the tempura, to the sushi, to the truly revolting chicken teriyaki (ice cold, gelatinous, odd tasting) I was truly impressed commitment to terrible taste, presentation, and the knats circling us during our meal.
