I visited Fortune dragon for the first time with a few friends. This seems like a popular Chinese restaurant for Tamarac locals . It is situated in a shopping plaza with plenty of free parking. We dined on a Sunday evening and the dining room was mostly full. We did wait a little bit to order but once we did our soups then egg rolls then entree were brought right out. We all got the combination meals - they come with white rice , soup and egg roll. We had the beef lo mein , pepper steak and orange beef. We are tried a little of each dish . The food overall was very tasty and enjoyable. The server packed up our leftovers to us . The meal were about 17.95 each. I can see why so many people like this restaurant. Nothing fancy on the inside but the food is great.

First time eating at Fortune Dragon Chinese Restaurant. We ordered takeout. They have family special on which I added on one of my photos. From Tuesday to Saturday they are open from 11:30am until 9:00 pm. On Sunday they are open from 1:00pm- 9:00pm. They are closed on Mondays. Upon entering this restaurant, there is several law enforcement patches on which was pretty cool. I spoke to Hue which she stated that her husband supports law enforcement. Very nice ambiance. The food was pretty good. I ordered pork fried rice with ribs and it includes a soup and an egg roll. Overall the experience and food was great.

Have been going for a while but stopped. Prices went up and just not the same. To go containers leak all over and when we ask for different container like for what the soup comes in you can tell not happy. Sorry we always went there but now exploring different ones. The waitress is always very nice.

Its my moms favorite so we go here often. The service is a little rough but they are full of regulars and everyone is pleasant. The food is good but the egg rolls could use some updating.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! The restaurant has your typical Chinese restaurant vibe and the portions are generous. I got the dinner combo orange chicken and it came with an egg roll, rice, and a soup (I got the wonton soup). I really enjoyed my meal and the service was very quick as well!

It was okay. I had the orange chicken. Honestly, it tasted better at Panda Express. The service here was good, the prices were okay. I don't know if I'd go back again. Maybe. Maybe not. It just wasn't anything special.

We ordered the beef lo main and sweet and sour chicken and we're not impressed. The rice did not have any smoked wok flavor and was overcooked. The chicken was also overcooked in oil and had that awful marinated chicken taste inside. The egg rolls were overcooked and so crunchy. The wonton soup was the very bland.

Busy Sunday dinner crowd at this popular local restaurant. We were seated immediately and given menus and water right along with our pot of hot tea. I ordered the Hot and Sour Soup, which is one the best I have had in a while! I also ordered the Pork Lomein which was plentiful, with lots of tender pork slices and perfect noodles. Great Food! Great Service! Great value!

I have only ordered takeout. Sometimes better than others. Kind of hit or miss but not bad for your neighborhood Chinese Restaurant.

best take out in the area! Everything was cooked just as we asked, wonton soup not the best but still good. We will eat there again soon.

They offer dim sum, so we had some roast pork buns as appetizers. The buns had very little filling and the bread was a bit dry, as if the buns had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. (They are displayed in a warmer as you enter the restaurant.) There is no lunch menu on weekends, so we ordered from the regular menu. Prices averaged $17 to $20 per entree with seafood options averaging $23-$25. All meals are served with white rice. There are no options to switch to fried rice, unless you want to order it as an entree. My friend loves orange chicken, so that's what she ordered. Since the eatery is touted for its roast duck and roast pork, I ordered the latter. We shared both. The pork was a bit salty and a tad dry. And it needed more of it's glaze. Though I am not a fan of orange chicken, this was one of the best I have had. It was sweet, but not overly done. And the coating was light and crispy. The portions were large. We both ate and took home leftovers for our husbands. Service was spotty and rushed with only two people taking care of all the tables. I never got a straw for my glass of water, and it took a few requests to get chopsticks. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was about $57.

I was told it was available, but when we arrived, we were told the ducks had already been sold. First they said I had not reserved it, even though I called ahead. Then they said I had not paid in advance, but this business is cash only and no one explained any advance payment requirement on the phone. We ended up wasting about an hour and a half. In the end, we went to Enson Market in Plantation and were able to buy roast duck there. Their staff was helpful, the duck was handled cleanly, and the quality, taste, and price were just as good. This experience made me realize there are better options nearby.

Ming Wah - Tamarac: I'd heard whispers for years about this hole-in-the-wall Peruvian-Chinese spot…read morebut always drove right past it--mostly because, let's be honest, the place looks like it hasn't seen a renovation since Nixon was in office. But curiosity finally won, and I'm glad it did. Ming Wah is pure old-school Chifa: no frills, unapologetically greasy, and weirdly charming. I ordered the fried wontons, the sopa de wantan especial, and the mixed chaufa (fried rice with pork, chicken, and shrimp). All solid. The soup especially was generous and surprisingly hearty--the small size ($8.95) could easily feed two, and the large is enough for four. The chaufa had all the right notes: smoky, just enough wok hei, and not overloaded with salt or MSG like you sometimes get at Chifa Taypa. That might actually be a plus for some folks--it's flavorful without being a sodium bomb. The fried wontons were crisp and classic. Nothing fancy, but they scratched the itch. The menu is tight for Chifa standards--hits all the usual suspects--but they've also got a full American-Chinese menu for those who want their General Tso fix. Prices are more than fair: $25 got me all three dishes, with regular-sized portions. The phone rang off the hook with takeout orders while I was there, and dine-in seems secondary. If you do eat in, leave a tip--these folks are working hard, and from what I saw, they're not seeing much appreciation from the dine-in crowd. Service was prompt and the teenage girl working the front (presumably the daughter of the owners) speaks perfect English and was very nice.
