I am surprised at all the 5 star reviews. I am a foodie, it is very hard to disappoint because almost anything is appetizing to me! but i highly suggest you go else where, I went in, it took a moment for the woman to get to me, she was on the phone, I ordered, the communication and simple kindness in the exchange was lacking, i didn't feel very welcomed, I felt like an inconvenience. I asked a question about the food and i got a quick short snap of an answer... i usually like talking to those serving at restaurants, i like to share and get to know people and my food. When my food came out i was told it was cash only and was pointed to an atm with and "out of order" sign which is for looks i was told. The food was sub par. And honestly it felt really crappy for my body (not that that necessarily matters to people) but the food just felt so lacking and just honestly unappetizing. It was cheap, but honestly maybe its more concerning. While i sat and ate, a few young girls came in to order. They got the same short service i did. They ordered and were told cash only. The lady was very direct and loud about using Venmo and how they all need to add their purchase together on Venmo. It was very erratic and hard to watch as i sat there silently eating hot soup out of plastic Tupperware. They seemed confused and disappointed. The space was pretty and cute with lots of plants. But the whole time i was eating, and as i left, i felt a deep regret for spending my money and time there. I questioned my intuition "why did i decide to enter this place. How come my body didn't warn me this place did not resonate with me?" Maybe it did, but i ignored it. I hope my mistakes can help guide you. Pretty much the only chinese place in the small town of tannersville. We showed up and ordered outside takeout, and took a 20 min walk while we waited. Portion sizes were great, not too crazy in love with the sesame chicken. Didnt have much sesame flavor like we are used to having. I had general tsos, and enjoyed it. I loved the yellow fried rice, had pork and veggies in it. I really loved the amount of veggies in the dinner combo. We had bell peppers, carrots, onions, zucchini and broccoli in it. Almost as much as the protein portion of the combo! We both loved the size of the chicken. Most places, the chicken is way too big and you gotta cut it just to have a bite. Not here, perfect size. Got the crunchy noodles, and you can tell they make them there due to the size differences. So crunchy and good :) decent eggrolls, but no drink with the dinner combo. Jake n kev read more

Always consistent since my first visit, I'd say it's Gotten better across the board for me. Always good portions and fresh vegetables. Fried dumplings and spare ribs are my fav apps. Combinations are a great value and with one app is a large meal for one. If you like Spicy food ask for it spicy as for my taste buds they keep it mild! read more

Coming from queens almost every weekend we've been reluctant to try Chinese food upstate (we haven't really had the most enjoyable experiences thus far) but I have to say.. this place is great! Good Chinese spot and certainly the best in the area. From one end of the menu to the other it's all solid. I am a sucker for the ribs and fried dumplings. I ask for the crab Rangoon well done and they get nice and crispy! Food was great! A little on the greasy side but not overwhelming. My boyfriend ordered general Tsos and I had the chicken with broccoli combo. The chicken and broccoli combo didn't just come with broccoli either! It had some carrots in there as well. The fried rice was delicious and it had egg, peas, carrots, onions and pork, which is different from some other places. Now that Hong Kong on Rte. 28 is under new management, locals have been pining for some superior Chinese takeout in the area. I saw good Yelp reviews on this place in Tannersville, so we placed a takeout order online a few weekend ago and had mixed results. The barbecue ribs and cold noodles were great. Nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the kung pao chicken and roast pork in black bean sauce fell far short of the mark. Though the ingredients were fresh and the sauces refreshingly starch-free, each dish was virtually identical to the other except for chicken (and two or three peanuts) in the one and pork in the other. Both dishes were weak replicas of any kung pao chicken or roast pork in black bean sauce I've ever tasted before. Perhaps the problem was that we ordered online before the restaurant was open for the day so they just slapped together whatever they had on hand to have our takeout ready by 4:30 as promised. But that's certainly no way to win over new customers. The folks running the place seem nice, so it is hoped they will up their game and give locals a truly winning option for Chinese takeout. My regular take out Chinese restaurant was closed today so I tried Fortune Garden for the first time. Ordering was easy with their on line menus which makes it easy to select the dishes you want and put them in your shopping cart. You can pay on line and select a time to pick it up. Very convenient. Their food was fresh and very tasty with out that familiar aftertaste that you are left with so many times with takeout Chinese. We will be going back there again next time we want Chinese food. I live here and I'm so happy and grateful they exist. Yes, there are some weird payment things (cash only unless you order online; there is an ATM with an "out of order" sign on it, but it works)--but the food is really good. Can't speak to General Tso's chicken (I don't eat that) but the Singapore mei fun is spicy and packed with good stuff, the bean curd with black bean sauce is delicious, and the dumplings are fantastic. These people do a huge business and they are usually running their asses off--be patient. It's a two person operation--Dad is cooking and Mom is doing everything else. I ordered a couple of dishes and wonton soup last week and it was delicious. The wonton soup hit the spot. Not too salty, Huge wontons and you can't beat the price! Shrimp with lobster sauce - the shrimp were huge and there were quite a few. I would order another shrimp dish but this one seemed a little bland . Pork with snow paes is a favorite and I'll order it again. I feel that this is a good deal every time I order here. read more

By far the best Chinese take out my family has ever had. Food is always amazing--every single time. Some of their best dishes are the sesame chicken, shrimp w/ garlic sauce, fried dumplings, egg rolls, and plain lo mein.
