I haven't hit an All You Can Eat buffet since I worked in Castle Hill back in the day, when the Throgs Neck AYCE spot was my weekly guilty pleasure. Fast forward to now, I finally dipped back in. This time, at Super Bowl. Hubs and I didn't leave disappointed. First off, the seating here is actually comfortable. You can breathe, spread out and actually enjoy the meal. Bonus points: if you're not feeling the buffet marathon, they have an à la carte menu. But their buffet is the real showstopper: They don't skimp on meats and seafood. Plenty of options, cooked up different ways and the seafood is fresh. Salads, Rice & Veg: Yeah, they've got the "healthy section"- but honestly, as much I like salad, I wasn't here for lettuce. There's even a Hot Pot Station that looked fun. I hope they have veg broth. Maybe next time? The bottom line is this- Super Bowl nails its clean, has a good spread, the prices are solid and service is on point. Plates are cleared fast, drinks topped up without that awkward flagging someone down. And, you walk out full and satisfied. The very first time we saw the sign, we thought this place was a sports bar. What a surprise, when we drove up, and found out that it was Chinese food, and darn good Chinese food at that. We've been ordering from here for years, and I can't believe that I've never done a review! We have never had a bad item off their large menu yet. The place is clean, I like the atmosphere, and everybody is friendly. One thing that we have not done from here, is the hot pot, (the "Super Bowl" in the name,) where you cook your own food, tableside, In a bowl of hot broth that they provide you. I've done that before at other restaurants, and it is a lot of fun. I hear that it is extremely good, here. . They do delivery through most of the delivery platforms, but you are going to pay a higher amount than if you ordered from them directly. And not only the delivery fee, either. The menu prices are higher if you go through one of the delivery platforms. If you are going to be ordering food to pick up, the best way to do it is directly through their webpage. That way you don't have to pay a premium... Tonight, I ordered from their large "all day special" menu. An egg roll, your choice of soup, your choice of rice, and your choice of entrée from their large list, all for only $14.95, plus tax. That's an amazing price! Tonight, I ordered the chicken curry with egg drop soup and fried rice. It's amazing that I got so much food for such a small price. The eggroll was large and delicious, and the soup was excellent. Not too oily, not too greasy. The rice was just the right texture, and the chicken curry was amazing! The chicken was tender, and the veggies were not over or underdone. Also, I could definitely taste the curry. It was just a little bit spicy, but not too much. Just enough that I knew the spice was there. After the egg roll and the soup, I barely made it halfway through my main course. The rest ended up as my midnight snack. We will continue to order from here. Thank you! UPDATE: The food was so good last night, I ordered from the "special menu again, for the next two nights in a row. The first night, .I had the shrimp and veggies with brown rice, and wonton soup. There was a one dollar "upcharge" for the wonton soup, but that was no big deal at all, because it was chock full of large tender wontons, with a delicious filling. There was a good amount of decent sized. Tender, shrimp, and again, the veggies were done just right. The rice was good as usual. I didn't mention it last night, but there was a tiny taste of cinnamon to the eggroll. I didn't mind it at all, because that comes from the "five spice" that they use. The five spice really adds to the flavor. Once again, half of the meal is going to be my midnight snack. The second night, pretty much the exact same excellent experience. I had the wonton soup again, and this time I had the "Thailand chicken" with fried rice. I was worried about the name, but there was not a "spicy" symbol next to it on the menu, so I asked. She said it was not spicy. Once again, the chicken and veggies were excellent. It had a very good sauce. I can't really describe it, because I can't recognize the flavors, but it was very good. As for spice? Again, there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I knewthat it was there. As is a bad habit of mine,, I tore into it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. As we walked in, we were shocked at the sheer size of the place- dozens upon dozens of booths and tables. Our host asked which menu- to which we guessed and clumsily said "Vegetarian or Vegan?" They had one, and oh boy were we pleasantly surprised! Rows and rows of all vegetarian and vegan options. This place had potential by the menu alone. We ended up ordering spring rolls, veg drumsticks, home style tofu, general's tofu and Mongolian veg beef along with veg fried rice. When I tell you this food came out fast, I mean DC comics Flash fast (the tv show version- which we all know is the better Flash anyway)! Spring Rolls- standard fare hard to mess these up Veg Drumsticks - generous portion with 5! Perfect crisp on the outside with chewy and lightly salty inside- served with a sweet dipping sauce Home Style Tofu - tons of fresh veggies- zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, broccoli. General's Tofu- I want to back right now and order a few of these. Super crunchy tofu with a lightly sweet/savory sauce- perfect ratio! We were looking for a new place for Chinese and decided to give them a try. We ordered several vegetarian dishes. My husband loved the vegetable pot stickers and we were definitely fans of both the Tofu Homestyle and Long Life Vegetable. The vegan menu is extensive which is awesome to see. The only thing we didn't like were the cold sesame noodles. The noodles seemed over cooked and had zero flavor. Other than that the food was really great! Definitely will order again. read more

I have never had such an awful experience as I did tonight at Super Bowl Cuisine, in the Kingston Plaza. I never take to social media without trying to remedy the situation with management. However, it appears there isn't anyone that would take responsibility. Although we were seated promptly, we had to ask multiple times for menus. We ordered 3 combo meals. The soup came out, and we asked for noodles. Which were just take-out packs, and the waitress pretty much threw them on the table. They brought out my meal and I was expecting that the rest of my family's meals would be following. 5 minutes go by, then 10. I asked and was told the kitchen was busy, which I'm sure they were. However when it got to 20 minutes, it was out of control. We asked over and over again (while I felt like I was the only one dining). They looked at the order and said buffet right? NO! They brought out more soup. NO! We just wanted the rest of our dinners. Never again. This place was a go to for us under the former owner. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants that are good in Kingston. I haven't been back in a long time. So I felt like having the special rice, I have had it before and loved it. I called to make my order but the person who answered the phone was very hard to understand and was not able to understand me. I said that I would like the Special rice with extra meat and any thing else they put in it, that I was willing to pay extra. I have done this before and was very happy with it. Just ordered "Shrimp Chow Mein" which Super Bowl's Yelp delivery menu describes as "Stir fried noodle dish with shrimp". I even googled images of chow mein before ordering to confirm its primary ingredients, for two hungry, picky, young children. What arrived? A large dish of soupy cabbage, onion and celery slices + 10 miniature shrimp for $12.95. I phoned Super Bowl directly to request a replacement and was "greeted" by a confrontational, self-described "worker" who claimed Super Bowl's manager wasn't there. She then repeatedly argued that THEIR menu describes the dish as containing no noodles, "only cabbage". She didn't seem to understand the difference between Yelp (which offers a delivery service directly from SP) and a restaurant's url. She also claimed she was too busy to send a driver to bring a replacement for the described dish I paid for. Nor was she willing to offer refund. She then hung up the phone on me. Additional calls reached busy signals. Terrible, terrible service. Won't order from here again, and I still want my refund. This is review is based on the AYCE hot pot experience. Don't have your expectations too high. I came by on a weekend luckily there is no wait time. I got the original soup base, which literally was just plain water (not even msg) which was an immediate disappointment. The hot pot bowl looks fancy but not to be mean but the hot pot bowl is like the size of a dog bowl, it's so small while the water boils you worry it might overflow. There is a limited hot pot ingredient options but it's understandable since I assume most people don't come here for hot pot. The meat was relatively fresh. The frozen products like fish balls, crab sticks, mini sausages, vegetables was okay but their fried tofu went sour. If I do come back to the Kingston area, I would give this place a try again but definitely not for the hot pot. read more

I stopped by this Chinese restaurant on a nice Friday afternoon. There's plenty of space inside and I decide to get their lunch special. You can get the lunch specialfor $7.95. It doesn't include the eggroll ($1.50 extra for the egg roll at lunchtime)but it includes soup and the entrée. So I decided to get the eggroll and the soup for $10.95. (That is an all day special)The service was friendly and attentive. I got the Szechuan beef. It was flavorful and had a good texture. I asked not too spicy and it was mild. The mushrooms and other vegetables broccoli were very fresh and good tasting. The egg-roll was flavorful and fresh as well not a frozen egg roll They also have an all you can eat hot pot. But if you don't like that of course they have a regular menu. I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant. It's one of the best in the area. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. Chicken with cashews: too many slimy mushrooms, and too few cashews (less than a dozen!! It's in the name of the dish, that's the item I want featured!). The chicken had a spongy consistency. And SO BLAND. I don't have enough disposable income to just trash it, so I picked out the mushrooms, threw the rest in a pan, and added some actual flavor. "Veggie" "fried" rice. What veggies there were in the rice were teeny tiny bits, and this rice was very pale and very mushy. I would have doctored this up too but any kind of mixing or stirring would have turned it to paste. Roast pork Lo mein: it just... it doesn't taste like anything. I know Lo mein doesn't have a sauce, but there's usually some kind of moisture coating the noodles. Dry and bland. The scallion pancakes had no scallions, and the sauce tasted like it was on its way to rancid. The egg roll was mostly dough. I hate that I spent $30 here. Im going to stick with my regular spot in Rosendale from now on. Update: against my better judgement, I just tasted the egg drop soup. It tastes like nothing and the consistency was weird. We were in the area, and decided to stop in for lunch on Saturday. I have been wanting to try their $6.95 lunch specials since the first time we were there a while back for dinner. The lunch menu is limited, but there are plenty of good choices. For $6.95, you get soup, an entrée and a choice of rice. We both had the hot and sour soup - it was good with the right amount of heat, and a perfect contrast of sour. I went with the Szechuan Shrimp with white rice, and he went with the Thailand Chicken with vegetable fried rice. His chicken was really good - had a scent of curry, but it was not overpowering. It was a little sweet as well, which made it very well balanced. He enjoyed the fried rice. My Szechuan Shrimp was delicious. Just enough heat to make you know you are eating Szechuan food, but not enough so that you can't taste anything else. The veggies were perfectly tender-crisp - as they should be. Plenty of delicious shrimp in the dish which were also cooked perfectly. It's a great deal for lunch - we'll be back. You should definitely try it. Got takeout on a rainy winter night because my local Chinese spot was closed, the food was ready in ten minutes from ordering. The counter peeps were nice, interior isn't anything to write home about but I'm all about the food anyhow. We came here during a stop while camping at the Catskills. We expected the place to be like the typical hot pot buffet style ones you see in NYC but it's more like they give you a paper and you choose what ingredients you want brought to your table. Not a bad idea, possibly done to prevent waste since we were the only ones that were dining in and getting hot pot. However, the ingredients were very fresh especially their bok choy and meats. The waitresses were very attentive and nice and were even tolerant of other rude diners that came in after us. The place is clean and their hot pot bowls were so cute! I was surprised to find there was Hot Pot in this area, and was initially very apprehensive as I prepared myself to be disappointed, especially since my reference is Hot Pot in NYC Chinatown. But it was a cold night and I had a craving for spicy broth and noodles I had to sate. The Hot Pot was delicious, authentic, and totally hit the spot! It was $25 for all you can eat, with all the normal menu where you check off items like broth types, meatballs, thinly sliced meats, veggies, noodles, mushrooms. They had a sauce station with all the usual suspects. We stuffed ourselves, but didn't feel guilty, because we had ordered 3 plates of veggies (spinach, bok choy and Napa cabbage). For proteins, we ordered lamb, pork dumplings, beef, and pork. Service was quick and polite. It was busy enough on a Saturday and they seem to have a loyal customer base. You can also order delivery for "normal" (Americanized) Chinese fare. We'll certainly be returning, especially in winter! I'm not used to chewy beef in Chinese food. They charge $2 for hot tea. Bringing the total, with tax to around $12. A tip for service brings it to $14. Heard about Hot Pot/Shabu Shabu from a weight Loss Group Posting on FB, so I checked Yelp and found one about 40 minutes from home in Kingston. The reviews posted varied from 1-5 stars. The server didn't ask if we were here for hot pot or dinner entree so after we were sat at a traditional booth and we asked about the hot pot menu they did have to switch us to a table with the cooktop. So if you know at least one of you want the hot pot..make sure you tell the server before you're sat. If you both want hot pot, you each get your own bowl of broth..so you can try one of the 4 flavors to base your meal in. The waitress was friendly and patient while explaining how to order hot pot. You get a paper menu and check the boxes of what you want to cook in your pot. After you've selected your broths and ordered off your menu, you select the sauces you want to dip the meats/veggies in. We liked the Sesame and the other said Flower something or other?! My husband chose the original broth, which I think was a fish broth. I ordered the spicy. Then we ordered dumplings, head on shrimp, mussels, clams, pork belly, chicken, beef, beef balls, lamb balls, cabbage and crab. Everything is cut small and thin to ensure evenness and quick to cook. Everything is served raw and you cook it in your broth..basically once it floats to the top - it's done. 5 minutes and under for everything. Service: AMAZING. The waitresses, regardless of it was our waitress or just a passerby would stop often pick up empty plates, fill our broths up and refill our drinks. They were kind, patient and friendly - rare trifecta in a customer service industry. So delicious! Super unique, flavorful dishes. Tried a ton of different entrees here and nothing disappointed. Singapore rice noodles are amazing!! The lamb cumin was completely outside our comfort zone but was insanely delicious. Long life vegetable dish was also memorable. All the shrimp in our dishes tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. There was good spice with the hot dishes but nothing insanely spicy or overpowering and every dish had its own unique flavor profile. This is one of the only spots around this area that has hotpot and I guess it's okay. It seems as if this restaurant is more known for their regular menu instead of the Ayce hotpot I can tell by how they plate their foods. It was a mediocre meal at most. Usually when going to a hotpot place the food comes divided in the same plate but our table was over flowing with food because they gave us individual plates for every small item which was inefficient. Their soup bases are very simple not much flavor. The spicy broth tastes like water with chili oil dumped into it. It is probably a better choice to stick with their regular menu instead of coming here for hotpot. I heard the Chinese food is pretty good! But their service is good ! AMAZING! Just tried for the first time tonight after seeing their ad on facebook. Staff was super friendly and our food came out super quickly (15 minutes after we sat down and ordered). The hot pot was SO GOOD!! It is all you can eat for the hot pot which makes it a great deal and there were a lot of things to choose from. I really enjoyed the choice of different unique dipping sauces. The red fermented bean sauce and the sesame sauce were good with everything! I was surprised to see seafood as some of the choices and it was good quality and tasted really good.
