Yeah, I don't want it to get dinked, scratched or cracked while it's in my cart going out the door on the bumpy pavement nor while on the way home in my car. All you had to do was put a few pieces of paper down and quietly lay the statue down and gently flip it to wrap it. No scoffing necessary. Needs better customer service checkout people. Love the store otherwise but there's no need for such rudeness. It's a simple, normal request to wrap a fragile item. It should be standard, I shouldn't have even had to ask her to do it. By default, we use to wrap any fragile item when I worked retail for many years, and I'm only in my early 30s.

I really like the layout of the store, with each department looking pretty tidy and kept up. For the most part, it's pretty easy to navigate the store where everything is, and also the staff does a great job of keeping it all organized. The aisles are wide enough which makes it easy to pass, leaving no frustration on my end. The store seems to be fully staffed in pretty much every aisle, and also most of the time, a greater at both of the entrances.

STAFFING is really lacking; the line was looooooooong. This is not the fault of local management. More likely a corporate management decision or strategy. Retail is a catch 22- long lines and higher prices drive people online to shop which results in a ghost town vibe in the store which leads to more online shopping. SUGGESTION TO HOBBY LOBBY: Host in store craft events and "kids craft camps" to rebuild your base.

I love to up my decorating game from Fall to the Christmas holidays and purchase faux Fall leaves, stems to Norfolk pine garlands to decorate my home. Faux greenery aside, Hobby L. also has a Craft dep't, Fabric+Sewing, Baking supplies, Art items, candle holders, beads and more- which makes it a nice starting place to get some inspiration and tweak what you purchase with your own add-on flair. Since Hobby L. only carries faux greenery, I personally love adding real stems and flowers I purchase from a few florist shops to break down that artificial feel. Even if you're not into buying artificial anything, Hobby L. is a must-visit any time of the year for any of your crafts. Prices are fantastic. But the other big take-away for me is these folks carry more craft items and have more variety than Michael's & JOANN. No offense.

In its place, a vintage shop, full of cut crystal, blown glass, small furnishings, Some costume jewelry pieces and an abundance of Crystal and China. The shop is run by a lady from Alabama, who, even after 43 years managed to keep her delightful accent. I want this place to work and thrive but I fear that the buying market won't support the mission. This is not a consignment shop but you will find pieces that you would expect to find in a consignment shop. Many of the items are priced fairly and they are in good condition. Some of the clothing in the back are not in keeping with the Quality of the collectibles, in my opinion. I definitely miss Simplicity and the ability to consign locally. I did see a few items in this shop that I may return for. I'd encourage you to look for yourself. Leave big, bulky coats, and bags at home because they do have items set closely together, and many are unbreakable. please use caution. Friendly, welcoming, staff and montages based on color, style, and decade, make it fun to know how things could fit together in your place.

The most recent closures have been Kmart, Burlington, and Silver Cinemas (which all had a long run for many years) along with smaller space stores at the new strip mall. There have been some opening of stores in series, but I do know for a fact that some spaces haven't even opened up yet since The Shoppes at South Hills existed. The costs are probably really high, making it challenging for these businesses to open. I believe the location off Route 9 doesn't have the best visibility since it's up on a hill to make it a success. There are not that many stores to offer, but with enough open now, it can still be the potential to last for many years, just in a slow process. The opening of At Home Furniture Decor is set to open soon in the former Kmart space. This particular location is a pretty big space to navigate from department to department. For customers who haven't returned in (a couple) years, it has been renovated giving it a modern look which was needed pretty badly. Things were rearranged a bit during the process, but not too much though. Also, it's impressive to see that there are self-checkout registers at the mall entrance making the line move effectively which needed to be done. This should have been done since day 1 when Target first opened. Most departments are kept up to stock with some having very few products and also overflowing in spots. Of course, with it being a busy day, it can get messy with items on the ground, etc. Sometimes finding an employee in a department, mainly houseware can be a bit of a challenge due to understaffing. Under one roof, Target has plenty to provide.
