We literally sat with our phones and started googling real estate agents, we called a few but most of them were either busy or we just never heard from them. We were just passing through and noticed the big Remax MiCasa logo and we decided to call the number. The receptionist referred us to Alejandra Muñoz, we spoke to her briefly and we immediately had a showing scheduled for the following day. Alejandra is also a person that communicates with you with everything that is happening. The whole process of buying a home is quite challenging but Alejandra really went all out to make sure we had the house we wanted. Once our offer got accepted, we had to wait for the fun part of having the loan go through and unfortunately for us that was not happening because of the loan officer we were working with. We were just waiting on the appraisal and the loan to go through, but our loan officer wasn't responding to our messages. Once he did the answers, he provided were not conclusive. The listing agent was already considering putting the house back on market because the lack of response from our loan officer. Even through all that stress and panic mode, we were lucky enough that Alejandra referred us to another loan officer, Sergio Soto whom works with Caliber Home Loans but stays within Remax Micasa. Sergio was another exceptional guy, we were already two-three weeks in just waiting on the loan and appraisal to get through, but Sergio made everything possible and completed it within days! (speedy fast). If it wasn't for Sergio's talent, we would've lost our earnest money, inspection fee and most importantly the house wouldn't have been ours. In the end everything brighten up for us, we got the home and are almost a month in from the closing date! Working with Alejandra was one of our best decisions we ever made. We both are very pleased that we were just passing through that day and notice the big logo.

I don't normally write reviews, but I couldn't keep silence once I saw this company was still in…read morebusiness. I hired this company to assist me procuring a property in the early 2000's. I have work with other mortgage companies before, but these people were the most uneducated, unprofessional, unethical bunch I have ever met. Their focus was to support the seller of the property and I was thrown under the bus. The property was found to not be up to code, but this knowledge didn't stop them from trying to force me to buy the property so they could gain their broker fees. The so called mortgage broker tried to even falsify documents to obtain a mortgage for me. Later I found out, this person was not even a licensed broker, only a processor clerk, but no one was overseeing this person's actions. They didn't really have a knowledge of the industry. I filed numerous complaints against this company through all of the license and various others regulatory boards for mortgage brokers. I found out they was already under investigations for wrongful and fraudulent acts inclusive of not having licensed mortgage brokers overseeing their transactions, not following mortgage procedures for IL, and terrible record keeping.. I guess I was not the first person complaining about them. They were fined, put on probation, and forced to close most of their offices except 1-2 locations still remain open. The end result of this nightmare for me was being forced into a major lawsuit because of how they handled my mortgage with the seller. They have made my life a living hell. It was the worst expereince I have ever been through. My hopes by writing this review are to help others to not go through what I did. These people are highly unethical and will do anything to close a deal. They are just a bunch of bums and lowlifes that give the industry a bad reputation. Good Luck.....
