They really know their business. I have been to about 6 physical therapies in the last 10 years. They would just put heat and ice , then quick massage and send you off. Forward Motion explains what they are doing and educates you on how you body works and what is best for you. They really care about you before anything else. Years ago, I had received ankle therapy at Kaiser Permanente but I was still getting injured on the basketball court. Desperate, I googled the entire internet trying to find a cure but that proved ineffective. Aging sucks. This place makes it suck less. I went to see Nick with lower back/hip/knee pain. Essentially, everything hurt. After a couple of sessions of treatment, and with some exercises to do at home, there is real hope. I can't thank these guys enough. THIS PLACE SAVED MY GOLF GAME!!! I have shaved an average of 5 strokes a round since starting with Nick but best of all, it doesn't hurt when I do it! I have been more or less a bogey golfer my entire life (between a 17 and 21 index over the last 10 years). Over the last 10 years or so, I was having a lot of trouble getting through a round due to shoulder stiffness from an old football injury. My GHIN was getting worse every year, my body hurt, and I was close to giving it up. I heard about this new specialized physical therapy dedicated to golf health and figured I would give it an optimistic but skeptical shot. Nick is the only person in the area with this specialized training so I took a trip down to his office for a session. Nick basically did a full work up on me from how I was standing and carrying my clubs, to my follow through on my swing. The techniques Nick has shown me help me get through the entire round virtually pain free! That might not seem like much but trust me, when your shoulder or back start to stiffen up at the turn, the strokes start to pile on. Now that I stay loose through the whole round, I am scoring like never before and getting the GHIN back to what it was in my prime. I broke 90 7 out of my last 9 outings and I shot a personal best 81 at WHCC. Let's just say, I am no longer a skeptic. The worst pain used to come the mornings after a day on the course. Now, I wake up eager to get out and play again...pain free! From the beautiful receptionist to all of the friendly and professional staff with specialized training, I recommend this place to anyone who needs a little PT. I have seen Margarita before and unlike most physical therapist she treats you the right way. Instead a taking shortcuts and coming up with temporary solutions Margarita and her staff take the time to properly confirm the injury and then treat it the correct way. Nick and Margarita have successfully treated me for several sports related injuries over the past two years. These injuries include torn rotator cuff in both shoulders, torn labrum, and partially torn meniscus. While MDs suggested surgery for these various injuries, I opted for a more conservative approach. Was referred to Forward Motion by a friend as I was having back and leg issues after my pregnancy. I was to the point where my left leg was going numb and leg and lower back felt incredibly weak. Margarita Mancheva and Nick Berard are miracle workers- simply amazing. They take the time to assess and understand the ailment and then resolve it when others have failed. For years walking had been a problem but when the pain became unbearable and the quality of life had been greatly reduced Forward Motion was there to repair the damage. After a week, I could feel some relief. I was in awe that progress had been made so quickly. They are so knowledgeable, execute successful treatments and work well together to get the best results. Together we worked on strengthening and stretching the muscles and they gradually introduced more exercises. They always made sure that I could replicate the exercises correctly on my own.
