Cute restaurant snuggled within the Westside Provisions plaza. I made reservations for Friday night, once we arrived we agreed the outdoor area was too beautiful to pass up. I enjoyed the courtyard space. For apps we ordered the tuna. The presentation could improve, and I was surprised the app did not come with bread/crackers. I also don't agree with paying $6 for bread cut into 4 pieces. I also ordered a glass of Chardonnay from "Villa Yeppa" which was amazing! Our waitress was nice enough, she seemed a bit overwhelmed all night. I appreciated her bringing out the wine bottle for me to take a picture of. Overall, the entrees were okay. We did not dislike the food but we've tasted better pasta. We also agreed that the portion size was small for the price. However, the cook on the pasta is all over the place. My dish was al a dente. There was 2 carbonaras at our table. One was well cooked and another was way undercooked. Overall the food is very bland yet over salted. Drinks were good and everyone was happy with dessert. If you know good Italian food you will be disappointed. Not saying it's terrible, just not great. I find myself craving their pastas - Peppe 'en caco, and their bolognese sauce is absolutely wonderful enough for me to have done some experimenting with making my own sauces to try and compare. Service is good. Wait staff took care of our requests and concerns. Environment is crowded, busy and on the louder side. Food was delivered fresh, hot and with care. Our group had a very disappointing experience at Forza Storico. We made a reservation well in advance by email, clearly informing the restaurant that we had four children in our party. They acknowledged this and required a reservation fee because of the group size. When we arrived on time, the staff initially helped set up the tables, but before we could even sit down, a man who identified himself as the general manager approached us and refused to let us use four high chairs, claiming they might run out -- despite the fact that there were extra high chairs visibly available. When we reminded him that we had stated we had four kids in our reservation, he told us that "four kids doesn't mean four high chairs" and insisted that we should have specifically stated the need for high chairs. That explanation made no sense and felt completely unreasonable. Because we couldn't seat the children safely, we had no choice but to cancel the reservation and find another plan last minute. What was meant to be a great evening for everyone was completely ruined. The whole group felt very unwelcome -- maybe because we were a large party with kids? Either way, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend Forza Storico to families or anyone planning a group event. read more

Something about post pandemic world makes appreciation of being around human beings having fun just that much more special. Forza Storico on a weekend is very much a place for fun, whether it's people watching or whatever other provoking reason brings one here. Having opened a few years ago around pandemic start, Forza Storico is the outpost of Michael Patrick, a lover of pasta turned Chef, whose main inspirations come from Roman cuisine, where he travelled extensively. With several restaurants in Atlanta, like Storico Fresco in Buckhead, this spot is really a spectacular choice when it comes to Italian food. The pastas I've had a chance to try here have all been absolutely wonderful. Made with great attention and excellent ingredients, some appear relatively simple, but focused and executed to perfection. Carbonara along with the appetizer of squash blossoms are just perfect dishes. Adding to the food a gorgeous patio and the reasons become very clear why Forza Storico is always so packed. One of the unique things here is the price of wine bottles, which for the most part have stayed in the very affordable range hovering around $50. Yes, these bottles do generally hover at a 3x up charge vs retail, and likely 4x relative to wholesale, but at least there are some less expensive options. With that said, it would be nice to get a more reasonable 2x upcharge that's a fairly established norm for Atlanta's restaurant scene. Folks working here have always been friendly and even accommodated one time when I accidentally made a booking at their sister restaurant in Buckhead. Forza Storico is a very good restaurant and an absolute pleasure to have in West Midtown. read more

I pass by this place all the time when I'm walking through Westside Provisions, and it stays busy! Finally decided to give them a try. One of my girlfriends and I came for dinner on a Saturday evening. Reservations are highly suggested and thankfully, pretty easy to secure through Open Table. While I didn't have to park my car, Forza, like many other restaurants in the WSPD, validate parking for at least 2 hours. We chose to sit inside on this particular evening as it was very hot outside. What's super unique about this restaurant is how the outside patio area seamlessly blends indoors. You can sit inside without feeling like you're completely removed from the people outside, which I like. The service here was very good. Our server was very sweet and honest about food choices. We ordered the Fritto Misto di Mare appetizer, which is like a fried calamari and seafood platter. I honestly felt this dish was seriously lacking flavor. It needed more salt or at least a dipping sauce, as I felt it was pretty bland. The drinks and main entree's were very good! I ordered a regular and a peach frose' (perfect for a hot day) and the Linguine al Pesto e Gamberi which is a shrimp pesto linguine. The pasta was very nice and garlicky. My husband and I got a quick afternoon reservation on a Saturday. It wasn't super crowded, and it was a beautiful day so we say outside. I love their outdoor seating! We started with a couple drinks (I forgot to take photos) - an Espresso Martini and Falling Rye. Both were delicious! The main reason for the 3 stars was the food. I originally got the Carbonara. It was VERY yolky and the pasta was uncooked (not al dente - I like my pasta al dente - this was hard). I spoke to our waitress and she shared that because the pasta was made fresh and Carbonara is made off heat, if they remade it, it would be the same. No worries, I was able to get something different, so I went for the Linguine Pesto. It was pretty good and had a decent amount of shrimp. My husband got the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese. It was pretty good, nothing special. For 2 drinks and 2 pastas, the total was $87. That's pretty expected for Westside Provisions, so not outrageous pricing. Drinks are around $15 (plus or minus depending on what you select) and pasta plates are around $25 each. I would rate the ambiance and service higher, but for decent, underwhelming food, it's not worth the price. read more

I remember reading about this spot having one of the best patios in the cities maybe a year or two ago and finally made it here one Friday night. It was packed around 7pm, every table and bar area was filled, so you definitely want to make a reservation. I can see why it's popular, you really feel like it's a European space. Forza is a traditional restaurant serving up classic roman dishes, and the pasta is homemade. Don't be  in a rush, this isn't' fast food, enjoy the experience. I sat inside with a group of 5 and was placed at a high top table. No way I can sit on the barstools for over 2 hours and really wish they had more comfortable seating. You're going to be very cozy with your dining group because the table isn't' very large, especially as the food and drinks start arriving.   Everything on the menu sounded so delicious, I ordered the fritto misto $18, cappelletti spinaci $24, bread service $4, and spritz $14. Seriously everything was SO GOOD! The fritto misto had calamari, branzino, and shrimp served with lemon, no sauce is needed, the seafood was fresh and lightly breaded. The bread loaf had sea salt and with the olive oil it was great, I had a few slices. It was my first time having cappelletti and pairing it with braised spinach topped with sliced almonds and cheese was perfection. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant, everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and cleaned their plate.   Mondays is half off wine bottles and you have to book a few weeks in advance. Restaurant will provide a code for 2 hours of free parking. The restaurant is on the lower level of West Side provision close to Jenni's ice cream. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. I've heard about this place, read all the amazing reviews about this place, passed by the place a million times, but I've never actually visited. The service, the food, the atmosphere...everything was outstanding. Our waiter Carlos was the kindest and super knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive and made super that my sister and I had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. We started with the Suppli which was a fried risotto ball with tomato sauce and mozzarella and it was piping hot and super yummy. The risotto was so tasty and it was a wonderful first dish. I ordered the Linguine al Pesto e Gamberi which was a pesto pistachio pasta dish with shrimp and it was amazing. The shrimp was seasoned well and was so fresh. The pesto was just delicious. The entire dish was too good to really describe and one of those dishes I know I'll get again on my next visit. I cannot speak better of Forza Storico!! They were extremely accommodating of me given I had put in a reservation for a party of 7 online and then we had a last minute addition to our party. Per their line when you call them, they gave an email for parties of 8 or greater so I emailed them asking for an additional sweat and they were no issues! Not to mention easy going when some of our party was late. They provide a parking code for the lot so parking is free for 2 hours. Our waiter was great and got our drink orders quickly. I started off with the Negroni which was delightful! We then ordered appetizers and got the charcuteries, the fried risotto balls and bread service! Everything was delicious and great to snack on while we waited on entrees. I got a second drink which was the canoe club and it was also tasty! The true star of the show was the carbonara. I had dinner with friends on Friday night at Forza Storico. We were seated inside at a table in the back corner by the kitchen. It was a totally different vibe inside at night than it was when I had brunch outside before. It was dark and kind of moody, and I loved the neon light sign. It just felt like a cool, vibrant atmosphere, and it was packed. We ordered the bread service for the table. It was really good. And I had the frose again because I was dreaming about it since I had it at brunch! It is so delicious. For dinner, I tried the chitarra arrabbiata, and I loved it. I asked for it to not be spicy, which they were able to accommodate. The homemade noodles are so good and have such a nice texture. I really like this restaurant! Came for a work team dinner and will absolutely be back on my own. To start the night I had a couple fantastic French 75s. I paid for self parking and once inside realized they validate but only if you pay online and I paid at the kiosk. All good. The focaccia was amazing as a starter and folks in the group loved the other ones too but nothing else grabbed my interest. For my entree I enjoyed the bolognese and it was truly one of the best I've ever had. I also got the broccolini which was top top top notch. A friend text me on a Friday evening to see if I wanted to go to dinner. She knows that I love a good meal, and rarely turn down and offer to eat!! Is that bad?? Anyway!!!- She picked this spot out because she wanted pasta. Admittedly, I rarely go to Italian restaurants. I am just not a big pasta eater. However, I will accompany my friends to the places they want to try. This spot is located in a very interesting corner of a busy plaza off of Howell Mill road. Per the website the location is as follows: "lower level of the West Side Provisions District - north end, beneath Jenni's Ice Cream and Redbird. " We honestly just stumbled upon the place by following another couple that we assumed were going to the same place!! Lucky for us, they were. Parking is in the main parking lot. The restaurant will have a code for you to use to cover your parking cost at the host stand. This code validated 2 hours of parking! We did not have reservations, but were seated promptly. We had a cute two person table directly in front of a window. It was perfect. I will say that this spot must be pretty popular because it was crowded. We decided to try several items. We started with the bread service (worth the extra cost), the grilled octopus( so good), and the tonno crudo ( this was not my favorite dish, but my friend loved it!). We each had a cocktail. I ordered the Expresso martini, and my friend had the hibiscus Margarita. The drinks were tasty ! For our main dishes I opted for the Cappelletti Spinaci, ( braised spinach, smoked ricotta, pecorino, mozzarella filled cappelletti, toasted almonds, brown butter, sage, grana ) , and my friend had the Bertu.( cotechino, sweet italian sausage, and ricotta filled mezzaluna pasta, guanciale, pecorino) When I tell you that these dishes were amazing! Forza is a great restaurant with great food! I went with a group of friends, and we all enjoyed our meals. I tried the Bolognese (8/10), Bertu (salty, 8/10), Cacio e Pepe (7/10), and Polpo (definitely recommend--so tasty and flavorful, 10/10). I don't have a photo of the Pasta alla Papalina (I definitely recommend this pasta! The flavor was very oniony, and I loved it. I would go back just for this pasta). My service was not that great, which is why I knock this rating to 4 stars. Our waiter was not very friendly. I also don't recommend getting the focaccia bread service. I was under the assumption that when they asked if we would like bread, it would be free or there would be enough slices for the whole table, but it was $6 for 4 slices. There was also a hair in our bread, and they still charged us for it. Also, maybe this is my fault, but I wouldn't word it as "focaccia bread service" on the menu because that made me think bread would be unlimited, but that could just be my thinking. The prices aren't too bad for an Atlanta restaurant, so I recommend it, especially with free parking! read more

I came to Forza Storico for a birthday dinner with some girlfriends and had the best time! They were easy to book online and were extremely accomodating for our party with late additions and arrivals. Parking is easy to find too in the Westside Provisions lots. Finding the restaurant itself is a little tricky - I'd been to Westside Provisions so many times but had walked right past it! It's down the stairs just past Redbird. The vibes inside Forza Storico are super fun and it was PACKED on a Friday! We were seated at a high top since we had a large party (I do wish our chairs had some kind of back for hanging coats/purses/etc). The environment was loud, but not too loud you couldn't have a conversation! We ordered drinks as well as appetizers. I had a Negroni and later an espresso martini. Both were fantastic, and the other drinks around the table including a hibiscus margarita, black salt paloma, and apple martini were delicious as well. For appetizers, we ordered the antipasti platter (everything was delicious!!), bread service, and suppli (fried risotto). So so yummy! For mains, we tried a bit of everything - I had the cappeletti spinaci, and others tried the cacio e pepe, carbonara, linguine al petso e gamberi, and a couple raviolis. I've been searching for Jewish Fried Artichoke since my last trip to Rome, so I went out of my way to get to Forza. It's located in an upscale shopping center with lots of options. I came alone at dinner and they sat me in an awkward corner away from everyone idk? It was very dark, loud and lively. Great meet up spot or date night. Service was quick, I think they were getting me out quick since I was a single dinner. I had the artichoke, it was good, just not exactly like in Rome. I also ordered the Tagliatelle. Pasta was fresh made and the sauce was delish. I think my total time in and out was less than 25 minutes even though I wasn't in a rush. read more

The food at Forza always hits the spot. They always have great seasonal dishes (squash blossoms/not blossoms). They have fabulous cocktails and great wine selection. Dining in can be a little hit or miss. I've been here several times and sometimes my server is just the right amount of attentive and personable. Other times, I've sat with empty drinks for 30 to 45 minutes and have to flag my server down for basic service.
