I paid a premium price for a 360 dash cam with parking monitoring and grill lighting, and what I got was half-working installs and straight-up incompetence. The dash cam powers on, but the parking monitoring clearly doesn't work. The lighting install was even worse. I was told I must have a "short" in my running lights. When I brought the vehicle back, I showed them exactly what was happening: press the brake, the running lights turn on; release the brake, they turn off. That is NOT normal. The installer literally said, "I've never seen that before," which is wild coming from someone whose job is wiring vehicles. His "fix"? Tie everything into the blinker module and call it good. When I questioned it, he offered to wire the lights so they're always on--completely defeating the purpose of how these lights are designed to function. All I asked for was simple: when the headlights are on, the amber lights should be on. Instead of fixing it, he accused me of giving "three different stories" and talked to me like I didn't know what I was saying. That's insulting and unprofessional. When I asked if this was the best they could do, the answer was basically, "different people wire things differently." Translation: we don't know how to fix it. I finally walked out because it was clear they weren't interested in doing the job correctly--just getting paid. Overpriced, sloppy work, zero accountability, and disrespectful service. Had them swap amps for me and install one and a sub. Sounds good but they didn't have the software to tune my amp. Later my car starting starting started after I would turn the key off. That has never happened before. My lights wouldn't shut off anymore either and it was beeping with my lights in the auto position which is always been on. Dude swears up and down that it was already like that. It was not. It's never ever done that. Very rude very not customer service appropriate. When I'm getting lied to right to my face. Says he has video but wouldn't show me. There's somebody there that has the same vehicles me so they know the vehicle. This was my second experience with Foss in Kent and it was great! Long story short I got a new vehicle and the dealer offered to tint the front windows to match the rear. After picking it up I could tell they did not match the rear windows and the clarity was bad. Next morning I called Foss and explained the situation. I had issues recently with my car radio and returned to Foss Audio (Kent) where they fixed it w/o question or additional charge. When it was clear a quick fix was no longer going to cut it, Austin(?) worked all morning until he was able to figure out what the problem was. He then spent the rest of the day installing the necessary equipment between other appointments and returned my car the same day. Although it cost more than I'd initially budgeted, I think it was reasonable given the upgraded equipment/installation. It is my understanding that the Kent Foss Audio location has recently gained new management. I brought my truck to Foss to have the windows tinted in late 2024, before the new management and staff took over. The individual that tinted the vehicle did a great job. While I was waiting, I decided to get a previously owned subwoofer installed. This was somewhat complicated because I have a 2024 Tundra. A part was ordered and installation was set up. The individual that installed it decided that I could bring the truck in on Christmas Eve. I decided that I had the time to bring it in. He rushed the install. I assumed that the part that he ordered was installed. I got in my truck and realized that the sound was not what I expected. I decided to tune the amp (which he didn't do) and try to make it work. shortly after having it installed, it started acting up. Randomly cutting out. I decided to pull the trim and look at what was done. The installer never installed the part that was ordered and spliced the RCAs directly into the rear speaker. I called Foss audio and talked to Austin. He informed me that the employee that installed the amp and sub did not work there anymore. Austin had me come in so he could look at the truck and figure out what happened and what to do about it. Austin determined that the install was not right. He scheduled me with a new appointment the very next day. Austin redid the work, free of charge and made everything right. The install was extremely clean. The system sounds great!!! read more

Take your car somewhere else for tinting. They left a large piece of dust under the tinting in the middle of my driver side window when I had the windows tinted a few weeks ago. It's easily noticeable, especially since it's right next to my head while driving. I went back today to get it fixed and was told that the tinting job they did is industry standard and they "can't control the environment, and whether a piece of dust gets under the tinting." The guy tried to make it seem like I was being unreasonable for wanting the issue fixed when they're the ones that did a poor job in the first place. read more

I've had these guys do a couple things for me. The installation is justOK but they treat customers horribly. They told me one installation was a four hour project and I knew they were done within a half hour. I was quoted upfront so I was fine with it, but they tried to hide the fact it was done so quickly. Ive always been an understanding person when it comes to an employee being stressed out and not being at their best during work, but it's another thing to completely not care about being respectful or professional. As soon as i came in, i was greeted by the white bald man who wasn't even dressed like he even cared to be there. He had straight up sandals, basketball shorts, and a baggy hoodie on at like 11am!! Once I saw that, I knew instantly this guy wasn't gonna take me serious. We went over prices and I agreed with it (I needed my car stereo installed asap), and he said he'd give me a call letting me know when it'd be ready which was within an 1hr 30min to 2hrs. But I had seen the reviews prior that this same man procrastinated on calling customers' cars when they were ready and would just be parked outside, so I decided to arrive just an hour after dropping it off, and guess my luck, they had already been finished for god knows how long so I'm not sure what this guy was waiting on to give me a call. Overall, I'd say that I'm not questioning their work, it's their customer service that is so shitty. Y'all need to either fire this man or switch his position that doesn't deal with customers because it shouldn't be hard to deal with a customer who is giving you respect. read more

Negative star Poor customer service and not honest. We took our car down to the shop to have the remote starter looked at. The technician gave us two options: to repair it for $140-200, or to replace a new one for $500. Because this is an older car, we wished to repair the starter. The technician got to work and found out he couldn't repair it so now we're gonna replace it. Our grand total is the repair plus the new unit prices $700! We were giving the reason for why we had to pay for the repair was because they already put labor into it. This is a terrible way make money. To say the least, I will not come back to this place and I will never recommend this to anybody. read more

If I could leave negative 5 stars I would!! Word of Advice: RUN! The worst customer service and job. I bought a Groupon to get my 2 front windows tinted. They told me they would match the shading and tint. They did not deliver. I called back 2 days after and had to make 6 phone calls before I got ahold of Mike the manager who is located at the Puyallup station. I explained that my tints don't match and then he said it would never match since my other windows were by the car's manufacturer. I told them that they should've told me prior to the tint work got done. But they never did. They only told me they would match it. I'm not satisfied with the work and want it taken off. Mike took down my name and number and said he would call me back to get Kent to take it off or he would personally do it himself for no extra cost. It's been 4 days and Mike has not called me back. Went in to ask about backup cameras, and the guy behind the counter said that they were all made in the same factory (hinting theyre cheap) and I asked how much to buy just the camera. 69$. TL;DR: the only thing worse than their poor quality of work is their horrendous customer service. I got tints done on my car with them and it was a great experience. I went back to get a stereo replaced and it was such a botched job ‍. I can't control the stereo with my steering wheel; the time on the stereo isn't the same as the time on my car and they said they couldn't fix it; my maps/phone no longer project to the stereo screen.. all these small things that end up being big annoyances. The stereo thing happened at tukwila so I came back to kent to get my husband's windows tinted and they overcharged us. I paid the FULL package online, and double checked with the rep before hanging up that ALL expenses were covered and he said yes except tax. My husband took his car into the appointment and when he got home told me he paid $150 - basically they made him pay for the tint after I had already paid it. We paid twice for one job! We've been in a back and forth for months about this already - we went to the store to get it fixed and they said we'd see a refund to our accounts and then the correct charge would appear. Never happened. Called a few times and got the runaround about systems and coming back in. We haven't gone back in for our refund because it's more inconvenient than to just call it a loss for us and know that they'll never get another dime from us. Oh aside from all that, their customer service is terrible. They talk to you like you don't know anything and they're the only experts and will never make a mistake. I brought a car I needed tinted they said they could do it and I brought my other car they already tinted before so I can show them how dark I wanted it. Let me tell you my experience before you decide to purchase a job from Foss Audio & Tint/Groupon! March 23rd, 2019 came into Foss Audio & Tint and spoke to TYLER (Store Manager) he said to me, "before I can schedule a tint, we would need the payment in full". Mentioned to Tyler, that I saw an advertisement on Groupon and he agreed to honor the price, so that the company wouldn't have to pay for the advertisement fee. After payment, Tyler said, "we are fully booked all week but I can put you down for Friday, March 29 at 2pm" and I said, "no I can't leave work early that day." So Tyler scheduled me for TODAY, APRIL 2nd, 2019.  Yesterday, (Monday)  I called Foss Audio & Tint spoke to ROBERT. I mentioned to him that I did not receive any confirmation or text confirming my appointment or even a call. Robert said, "I don't see you at all in the schedule for APRIL 2, 2019" I said, "NO, that can't be! I waited over a week for this job!". Robert said, "go ahead and bring in your car in and will have it worked on first thing in the morning (April 2, 2019)." Dropped off the car and both Robert and I checked the schedule everyday from March 23rd for my name. NOTHING!  Today, afterwork I called Foss Audio & Tint to follow-up on my vehicle. Spoke to TYLER on the phone and he said, "it wont be done until the end of the night!". Pissed off I was because I spoke to 2 different people concerning this job and neither one communicated with one another but TYLER acted like he was DOING ME A FAVOR and he calls himself a STORE MANAGER! I went to Foss Audio & Tint at 3:10pm today and still my car was at the parking lot NO TINT! Spoke to the front desk guy since Tyler left to pick up his kids. He said, he will work on my car at 4pm and it takes about 2.5 hours to do. So I told him I'll be back before closing.  Came back to the Foss Audio & Tint at 6:30pm. My car was still in the lot never moved and I looked for Tyler. Oh this guy can't keep a LIE STRAIGHT! I did not have the original invoice with me when I spoke to Tyler but he knows who did the "WORK ORDER" which was no other than him! So I asked Tyler, who did the work order he blamed it on "ROBERT" pointing fingers!!! I said how come Robert didn't tell me that yesterday when I asked him? Tyler said, "not everyone will be honest to you". Did he really just say that? What a BACK STABBING MANAGER! To throw ROBERT under the bus when I have PROOF that it was TYLER that did my work order! He should be ashamed for doing that to his employee! I said so what happened to the schedule? Tyler said, "I have you down for Tuesday, March 26!" I said, "NOPE your lying that's not LEGIT so Tyler, pulled up the work schedule on the computer." I said, "Look! Robert showed this to me yesterday! My name is NO WHERE there and all of a sudden TODAY you can find me there?" Tyler switching his words around and SCHEDULED A FAKE APPOINTMENT just to make it look like it's in his FAVOR! He really thinks I'm that STUPID to believe his LIES???!!! I asked Tyler about the text confirmation and email confirmation he said they don't do confirmation text, emails or calls but THAT WAS ALSO A LIE! (See images) what a pathetic store manager, it's a shame that Foss Audio & Tint has someone working for them that has no common courtesy for customers. Tyler, has never apologized for what he did or OWNED up for his own mistakes but instead he points fingers to everyone else coworkers and including me as a customer. He can't even prioritize a decent schedule. Now I know why this company is in GROUPON because of Tyler! Bought the deal from group on. First timt appt came back with bubble at the back...reschedule to fix. Second appt, went there and they are out of the tint, and ask me to make other appt to come bcak. Went back there on the third appt, drop off time is 130pm and took 6 hours to fix the back windshield and still .....there are bubbles.... i gave up!!! I had a great experience here. I walked in on a whim and decided to purchase a stereo system for a project car. I got a deck, 2 6x9, amp kit and preloaded subwoofer. The price seemed fair so I didn't even price check. Tyler seemed fair so I went for it. When I got home I ended up check the price on line, it was spot on and I didn't have to pay shipping. Had a time scheduled but when I went in, one of their guys was out and they would not be able to get me in, so I left and shot an email asking about a reschedule to the owner I was communicating with. I came in on May 7 2015 a little after 10am. A young lady was helping a customer. She was helping with an instalation payment. As I was waiting, I noticed a 4 year old kid playing on/around the check in desk. Taking a closer look...there was also a 4 month old infant as well. None of this really bothered me. But it took over 20 minutes for this young lady to even a say I will be with you in a moment. As I was patiently waiting...2 customers came in and left. These guys completely messed up my car. This did happen a little while ago but I got my windows tinted from these guys. They didn't do too bad but when I got my subwoofer installed it went way downhill. I got my car back but upon investigation they screwed the amp to the back seat of my car and saw that there were holes and screws poked through the armrest. They did eventually fix it they said it would take about a week to fix so they took out the seats of my car and ended up taking about 3 months to fix so I had to dive my car with 3 seats in it for about 3 months read more

I went here about 2 weeks ago and got my windows tinted and a new stereo deck installed. I could not be happier with how great the tint looks and the quality of the stereo and Bluetooth mic install. This was my first time here and they treated me like family. They showed me all the options and made sure I got exactly what I was looking for. The install was completed in about 2 and a half hours and when they were done they gave me a full demo and showed me how to use everything. No return policy. The owner is a real jerk. Supposedly you can run a 2ohm rated amp at 1/2ohm without any issues as long as they install it. Well... at least they will install it that way and won't tell you that your new amp is overloaded. According to Ed, the manager, no store offers good prices, service, and a good return policy. He says they offer good prices and service. Given that they installed my sub wrong and wouldn't take it back, and I saw the same one elsewhere for half the price, I'd say they don't offer good prices, service or returns. I had an appointment on 8/5 to get my 2 front windows tinted on my 17 Renegade. When I got to the store in Puyallup Mike K. greeted me and let me know that they were short handed that day and that he would get to me as soon as he could. During that appointment Mike was great, even though he was short handed, a little behind and hustling as fast as he could he was patient with others who came to the store asking for things and he was great with those of us who were already being helped. In my opinion this is the type of employee that you should want to keep and do what you can to keep them. Thank you Mike again for your help! I absolutely love this place, THEY ARE THE BEST !! They have Tinted my windows and installed my husbands new stereo, they never try to over sell you, for example I recently went up there to have my Garmin and a Separate USB Cigarette lighter Charger hard wired to my battery, I was so tired of all the cords I had in my car and instead of the $200-$250 I expected to pay they only charged me $43 dollars. What a deal !! now my car is cord free and they didn't even try to talk me into a new stereo which would have had the charging stuff I needed.
