I went to the puyallup location. first tint instal had a wavy top with gouges out of it. the rear window defroster line was scrapped off and is no longer working. second instal has a light gap at the front of the window 1/4"+ wide. when I called the store the gentleman said it wasn't right and they would follow up with how we can get it fixed/resolved again. the installer texted me and was asking for lots of photos. I sent one and the gap is visible. so other pictures are not necessary. I emailed management and have not received a response yet. spoke to nale the customer service person who was messaging me asking for me to complete a Google review daily, their response was "thanks for the review, good luck with your vehicle. During this process they never once offered to fix, refund or come to any agreement for the defective instal. I spoke to two other foss stores who said this should have been an easy fix, and were shocked with how I had been treated. read more

So you got a Groupon or thinking about buying it. Let me help you out! (Skip if you want to read the review below) Why listen to me? Well, I've had my windows tinted here 4 times in the last two years 2020 and 2021. Groupon process: 1. Purchase from Groupon, look out for additional local discount (once in a while) will knockdown the already discounted price lower. 2. Go to their website or follow link in email. For full, select the $349.99 Solar Guard M3 (not the second one). For only two windows there's only one Solar Guard option so you can't mess this up. 3. For the notes, write down your car model, and color (so they know what they are going to work on), tint percent (30% is the default tint foe Groupon deal, any lower is going to cost extra $), phone number, and the Groupon reception #. (Optional): Print off your schedule appt. 4. Drop off when they are open OR you can drop it off at the little mail drop in their (I believe) first garage door, near the entrance. I use a ziplock bag to put the key in and the print out of the schedule paper so that there is no mistake for the install. I've use this method 3 times now and they are really good at figuring out with said info, which is your car and what to do. 5. Pay taxes. Yes, you have to pay taxes on top of the Groupon deal.. it's not much. Review: Pros - They work on your tint on the scheduled time (crucial for day plans) - Great price and Value - (Depends, mostly for Groupon customers) Not much contact is necessary to get the job done. Get your Groupon and follow the steps above. Cons: - (The depends part) Yea.. it can be hard to get in touch with someone. Just recently end of April 2021, I had to call continuously at least 8 times to finally talk to someone. Because I've been here 4 times and being my initial experience was bad (but was fixed), there is just nobody in the area that can beat their price. I've looked around to see if anyone can come close to their price point, and they're always twice much more or worst 3 times more. I love the quality work here for the bargain price. roughly 2 months ago I had my windows tinted, and when the vehicle was in direct sunlight, the tinted windows would gray out. I took it back to Foss Puyallup and they told me that was not correct and they would redo the Tint. I thought problem solved until I waiting for the next sunny day and the new tint had same issue . After taking it back down, they informed me they didn't see the graying in the sunlight, see the attached picture you make your own judgment. I have moved on, and I will pay somebody else to redo them. read more

Would not recommend the Tukwilla location for tint. Put on an upgraded tint without permission and then said they would lock my truck up for the night and strip the windows in the morning. The tint has bubbles and pin holes in it. Take your money elsewhere read more

Stopped by the Puyallup Foss Audio today because I was shopping for security and remote start for my son's Jeep Wrangler, it has been broken into two time last South Hill Mall. As I pulled in on my bike an employee was coming out smoking a cigarette, I parked my bike and got off, proceeded to start putting my helmet in top box and get my regular glasses when the employee standing in front of the store still smoking asked if I had an appointment. I told him no, I was just getting some pricing and options, he proceeded to tell me they are short handed and listed off names of employees that were not there, way to call in CJ, and so I told him again I am just looking to get prices, and I asked if anyone could do that. His response was "it depends", okay if you do not want business just close. Put the sign up, shut it down and customers will not be a bother. I told him I would just go somewhere else, his response "and I bet they will be glad to have you" as he walked away towards main door smoking his cigarette. What an absolute pitiful excuse for business, not sure how you survive with that kind of customer is an inconvenience mentality. I bought my daughter a Groupon to tint the windows of her 2023 Nissan Altima SL. The price was for 5 windows but her car had 7. The additional fee for the two windows was minuscule. Well.... I finally put an auto start in my Diesel. Foss Audio was professional and kept me informed on how things were going. I do have a VW so things can be a little difficult. So I took my car in at my 10am appointment and was told they'd call me in a couple hours when it was ready to be picked up... I called them multiple times around 2pm and 3pm and never got an answer or call back. 5pm that night (an hour before they close) I decided to just go to the shop to see what was happening. They told me they hadn't "gotten around to it" and that I needed to leave my car overnight. Not only that but they were incredibly rude to me for asking questions. Worst place to get a radio put in, they sell equipment they can't even explain anything about, we just had issues getting our radio fixed and still didn't get it fixed after spending $2,000 I wouldn't recommend this to anybody I know, their final answer to getting our radio fixed was were gonna need to send it back to pioneer for a manufacture issue, and it'll be 4 months. Took our truck that we just bought, in last week and spent over 1500 bucks on all new stereo, back up camera, the works, it stopped working after 3 days, the back up camera wiring started smoking and melting the wires. The camera worked for about a day. The alarm would go off every time we would lock it. Went to take it back, and had to schedule an apt to get it looked at. (Weird, we brought it in the same day to get all of the stuff put in and they were very open to take our money and get us in the same day). We took it in to our apt today at 2pm, stopped by at 500 to check on it and he said maybe 15 min. Came back at 530 and the door handle was broke. Talked to the staff and management and they took no fault, saying they didn't touch it or do anything. That maybe something happened after the parked it. But I'm stuck on the side of a road with my car not working so I get my car towed there spend 140$ on that they tell me the can't give me my back for the towe when it was there problem so agin I was there for almost 3 hours they couldn't find out what they did to my car after I said forget it and got a refund I had my car towed to the outher foss in Tacoma and with end a hour they put a kill switch in my car and I have no more problems this place sucks they don't know what there doin they tell all this bs about your car and rip people off over charging for things that they get out of cars they put stereos in make sure you get your things back if you have them put something in your car if not they will use or sell it to the next person I'm goin to file a law suit to get back the money I had to pay to have my car towed because I never had one problem with my car until these slime balls touched it don't go to this place BEWARE!!! Called in to the front desk and they said to bring the car down within the hour.. it was 11:30 when I called and got to the shop at 12:00. The guy said his tint guy would be able to fit me in immediately. I was pretty happy about this because I was a walk in. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours, they still couldn't give me a timeframe about when they would do my visor tint (in the past it has only taken 20-30 minutes). After not being able to give me a timeframe, they said they could set me up with an appointment that was a week away.... needless to say, I got a refund and I will never go back to these guys. Unprofessional. I took my car into the shop and my appointment time. I was there for over 2 hours just to get two windows and a visor done. I asked for the price on the phone when I made the appointment and when I was checking out it was almost $70 more than what I was told. I sat there the whole time and one of the clerks kept cursing around his customers. It was just real unprofessional. The work was actually good and my tint looks great and makes my car look 100% better. I most likely wouldn't go back to get any work done due to the lack of professionalism and most importantly the price of products. read more

Took in aftermarket speakers and amp in to be installed. Got there at 4 and was out by 5:30 with no appointment. They installed sub, 2 front door speakers and amp. The installer also fixed read door lock that I had screwed up trying to install speakers myself. $245 is an expensive hour and a half but I'm glad to have it done. Overall I recommend.
