This was a long overdue review. About 4ish year ago I had new high quality headlights installed in my car. First couple months worked fine. Than they would randomly turn off. Went back to this business and they kinda threw their hands up like they didn't know how to fix. I went to a different business where they said my wiring was done poorly. They had to Jerry rig (lack of better term) my headlights to my fog lights, if I used my headlights I'd never be able to turn off fog lights. I was fine with this and it worked about 3+/- years. The past several months my halos and fog lights only work which isn't easy to drive in. The poorly installed headlights from stereocentro created this problem, now I have to go to a real light installation expert where I'll be charged $800. They know of stereocentro and told me they will not fix whatever issue they caused because so many of stereocentro's former customers have had similar issues with light installation. They will completely rewire the mess stereocentro caused. Changing my review of this place due to my recent experience with the owner. I took my partner's car in to get the sensitivity adjusted, car beep turned off, and the 2-way remote checked because we could never get it to beep. He then confirmed the remote was malfunctioning. Pretty sure this remote was malfunctioning when he sold it to us. It never beeped. The video they recorded the day of the install proved it. I mentioned the alarm adjustments should have been taken care of when we had the alarm installed and that we felt rushed to leave after the original install. That's when he became very moody. He refused to make adjustments to my partner's Viper system because she wasn't present, even though she had given him authorization over the phone. They required us to make an appointment to have this taken care of in 3 weeks. I don't recommend Viper. Unfortunately, it's all Stereo Centro carries. For someone who has been installing Vipers for years, the owner seems to have limited knowledge on how to customize the settings. Maybe he should practice programming these systems more often. read more

I had issues with my Pioneer AVIC 8200NEX cutting out on my right front channel when I turned or went over a bump. Luis helped to determine it was a bad crossover, replaced it & resolved my problem. I also had Luis replace/upgrade my existing halogen stock headlights to Hikari Ultra LED. Not only did he complete both jobs in efficient manner he made sure that the beams were aligned correctly. Since he did such a fantastic job I came back & had him install & align LED fogs in my factory slots. I would highly recommend "STEREO CENTRO" to have any install or service, not only do they do professional quality work their price is very competitive if not lower than everyone else. . . I would never buy anything from this shop again!!! Very low budget operation. I had them put Led headlights in my car took them 4 times to get it right. During that service they convinced me since I was doing the headlights I should do the license plate lights as well.. I had problems with the plate lights ever since.. I went back once for the flickering they replaced but they charged me again, than recently the flickering started again I went back for there help they told me the lights are only good and under warranty for 6 months tops. Now mind you they took my stock lights for the plate light and never gave those back.. I told them I would be reporting them to the BBB they said go ahead we don't care then I asked for my stock lights back and they told me we don't wanna do anything for you.. Bottom line you want bad service and to be pushed around on a warranty go there you wanna be treated right do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I'm writing this review a week later from my Alarm installation. I really wanted to write a good review due to all of the great reviews here but I am truly disappointed and a bit angry.. I don't even write reviews but for this I really had to. Originally I was suppose to have a Viper Alarm installation with the auto remote start($495) but after I came back to pick up my car, I ended up having an Avital Alarm without Auto start($465). They told me that the Viper Alarm is on back order so they installed the Avital Alarm without letting me know. The owners wife gave me $20 off.. I didn't have time to be mad because I had an appointment with my Police friend so I literally had to get the keys, pay and leave. I waited for 5 hours when he quoted me 4. Don't get me wrong, the couple are very nice but this is not how to run a business.. I wanted the Viper Alarm because I wanted the Auto start and the alarm.. If they had let me know that that they didn't have the Viper in stock, I wouldn't even have installed the Avital without auto start. I'm just honestly very disappointed and probably will not come back for subs and speakers. I just hope that next time they would let the customer know if they don't have a certain product instead of just installing it and telling them when they pick up the car. read more

I would give them less than a star. Stopped by a couples weeks ago and got a quote for a 12 subwoofer with install. The guy was super nice but the woman sitting at the counter was super rude, I just ignored her and told him I would come back to schedule. Went in today to setup a appointment and the woman at the front is the worst ever, no customer service skills and rude. The soonest she could get me in was in about 3 weeks. I can do better elsewhere. Maybe if the woman wasn't so rude I would consider waiting. I would rather go where customer service is acceptable. read more

Wow! Look no further for your car audio or alarm needs! They were able to diagnose and fix a problem with my old Scions xB car alarm that even the dealer couldn't figure out! I stopped by without an appointment and they were able to fit me in. And in less then an hour they had come up with a brilliant fix for my alarm problem... and the price was incredibly reasonable! On top of that, they are very nice people! It's nice to see a small business like this doing so well. They were quick, courteous, resourceful, and knew their stuff. Based on mostly positive reviews, and because my former go-to car audio shop in the North End wouldn't install the stereo and speakers I bought there (at the old place) because "the installers are watching the game," I ventured to Renton. Stereo Centro is a small, owner-operated shop. Luis installed the equipment I provided, and he charged a fair price, less expensive than many competitors. Good workmanship and helpful tech assistance. I will return for future car audio needs. Unlike the bigger shops, Stereo Centro discouraged me from making an appointment; instead I brought in my car and chilled in the park while I waited for the work to be done. My preference is to make an appointment or at least get a 2-hour window of service, but I'll willingly put up with the quirks of a smaller business in order for Luis to work on my car. read more

To be a family owned business I can say honestly they care for the customer with the upmost respect. I've been going here for about 5 years now and done a lot to different cars that I have bought. I am writing this update as of 4/11/18 I have been going to Luis for about a year now. Any issues I've had with my Viper system I took them to him. About a month ago I encountered an issue with my Viper remote start. Luis was eager to diagnose and fix my problem. He pulled my car into his shop and twenty minutes later my remote start was working again. "Blown fuse" he said. He charged me $40 and I left a happy customer. A month later the fuse blew again. I thought I'd look for the problem myself. Sure enough a blown fuse. The reason I have put one star is the fuse was a regular 20 Amp blade fuse that costs maybe a dollar. Luis charged me 40 dollars for a blade fuse. I have referred family and friends to Luis and planned to bring much more business to him in the near future. I was ridiculously overcharged. I've had ZERO problems with Luis in the past but this is dishonest and I will not be bringing my business here again. YOU HAVE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER. read more

I return to this place to changed my car front lights cause I was attended in the past with a good costumer service. I come back all the way from Kirkland because of the affordable price a got in the past and also because I'm loyal to places were they treated me good. But this time I encounter a very bad costumer service with Laura a list that's the name she gave me. She is an Spanish speaker and I feel good since it is may first language too. But her service was very agresive. I come to do lights changed which I believe it's a very fast and short service, last time they did it with not problem and fit me into the schedule with a great actitud. But this girl gave me an appointment for two weeks. I ask if I could wait for any open space since it is short service, and she said "if it is that easy why don't you do it yourself?" This is not how you responde to a client. Simple if I went to them if because I don't know how to do it. She come to my car and took a picture of my plate saying that she got offended by me asking for her name. To you Laura : I ask for it just to make a review of your bad costumer service. Be loyal to the person giving you a job. With your actitud you can lose clients some loyal clients that drive all the way from Kirkland to your place.
