I am absolutely impressed by Dinuba Fosters and I thought that was something I would NEVER SAY!! The new owners have completely turned this place around! A year ago I would have given Fosters 1.5 stars at best, it was run down and filthy and deserved terrible reviews. My husband decided to eat here tonight and I was shocked in the best way. The dining area has been gutted, painted, new flooring, new bright lit menu, new tables and chairs. a t.v. mounted.... the staff hustled and was so polite, the food came out fast and was DELICIOUS. I wasn't even terrified to ask for extra ketchup!!! It's too bad when there's a change of ownership it doesn't wipe the slate clean on YELP. The lady with a braid was extremely rude during my most recent visit (the elderly one, I'm sure everyone knows who) she always looks mad and looks miserable to be working there & I overheard her gossiping about one of the cooks with one of the other employees while i was waiting for my order. I stopped by this morning around 11:15. I was waiting at the register while the manager and another employee were gossiping about another coworker. I kindly waited until she finally acknowledged me only to be completely rude. She said "oh we're closed. We're not going to open for another 20 minutes. That's why the sign still says closed" well first off the door was unlocked and two everywhere online says they open at 11am. I didn't argue I just left. Another customer pulled up thinking they were open i told her how rude they were and decided to eat somewhere else too. As a manager in a customer service job I found this appalling and complete unacceptable. If you want your business to thrive again you need to retrain or get rid of people that are not right for your business. I highly recommend not wasting your money here. I know businesses are financially struggling during this COVID 19 crisis but so are we, the customers. Asking us to pay extra money to use our card to pay for purchases charging extra for beef and bacon, and other charges posted is financially hard on we, the customers as well. I do not think I will return to do business here in the future as I cannot afford the extra charges they request. The food was good except for the French fries, they tasted like their frying oil was old, the French fries had a funny taste to them. This Fosters Freeze is an old childhood hangout for me. It brought back lots of memories :) food is till good, but service isn't impressive. When you act like I'm annoying you by placing an order, and you can't bother with a simple smile I would say customer service needs some work. Have some pride in yourself & your work! I've eaten at this establishment for nearly 30 years and it's always had good food. More recently, in the last year or two, service has really taken a dive. The employees don't seem to care about the customers. All are rude and unfriendly. This isn't enough for me to stop being a patron, but I think the owner should pay more attention to these reviews.
