I remember trying Farmers Bros years ago when we first moved to Cali, but haven't been back since and I feel like we've been missing out. The food is so fresh and the environment is very open and clean with some neutral country type music playing. The service was fast and food was delivered hot to our table. We decided to go with the Big cheese burger, the avocado chicken sandwich and the beer battered fish basket. The fish was crispy and hot and wasn't bogged down by the oil. The tartar sauce definitely brought out the best in the fish and the fries were nice and crispy and held their crunch the entire meal. The chicken avocado sandwich was ok. While I enjoyed the garlic bread seasoned type flavor on the outside of the bread, the combo of the avocado and flat piece of thin chicken, was just not coming together enough, for me personally. Now the real star of today was the burger! It was super juicy and had a nice flame-char grilled type flavor to it, even though it looked so simple. Don't let it fool you! Their food is always fresh and hot, delicious. I don't feel bad after eating there. You can earn points towards free items with every purchase. The staff is super nice, takes a bit in line but that's to be expected when receiving fresh food. I highly recommend this place for their outstanding quality in food. It's a little pricey but if you are eating here looking for healthy food, then you already understand how expensive healthy food can be. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich yesterday with no sides and no drinks, and while it was good, it cost me $10. That is exorbitant! I was with a friend who wanted to eat there and I didn't want to spend a lot of money but that was the cheapest thing on the menu. Two pieces of bread and a slice of cheese was $10. I haven't been there twice before and was disappointed and really wasn't interested in going again, but I did. I ordered a hamburger and french fries that time and was disappointed and it was pretty expensive also. I meant to write a review then and forgot. I went there again a couple of weeks ago with another friend who wanted to go there, and ordered a grilled chicken salad. While the chicken was good and it wasn't skimpy, the lettuce was almost white. The nutrients in lettuce are the greens. This was disappointing and for the second time, nothing looked like it looked on the pictures on their menu and their prices are really really expensive. I will never go there again. read more

We were passing by and we were hungry. We decided to get some breakfast from here. We ordered French toast platters. They come with eggs, sausage. They are pretty good. They serve breakfast all day. With a nice array of breakfast offerings, sandwiches, hamburgers and salads they have much to choose from. The food at Farmers Boys is fantastic it's like your eating at a home town diner. The service is always excellent considering the staffing shortages many places are experiencing. I have been wanting to check this place out for a few months. I wish it had been worth the wait. I got zucchini fries and an ABC burger (avocado, bacon and cheese). The fries were giant slices of zucchini served with ranch. The ranch cup was 2 oz maybe big enough for two of the fries, not four. The burger it self and it's toppings were great. It was the bun that ruined it. It was do beyond burnt. I've worked at a fast food family owned burger joint before, and I know that it was always quality over quantity. I know. We came in yesterday for the first time in about a year, and I'm so glad we did! I wish I took a picture of my salad because it was one of the best salads I've ever eaten! I got their chopped cobb salad and it was loaded up with grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and cheese. I opted out of the egg and added onion straws! I also got a side of onion rings, and they came out perfect. The salad could easily feed two people! I will say, the girls working aren't the friendliest. The cashier never smiled and seemed annoyed when taking my order, also the one who delivered wasn't that cheerful either. On a plus note, this location is always clean, I also like that they bring you your food and anything you need, they don't charge for ranch or extra dressing which is always a plus in my book! Omg this is my first time trying it so I started with the farmer's burger meal. The fries were great, they were thick, crispy on the outside and mashed in the inside if you know what I'm talking about . The burger was HUGE, two juicy patties, every single part of it taste fresh from the bun to the sauce! The tomatoes were flavorful, unlike most places where they have no taste. The bacon was thick and the perfect amount of crunch. The lemonade was ok I was expecting some freshly squeezed taste, but it was a regular schmegular pink lemonade. It was quick, I was there for maybe 3 minute's, but that was because I was the only one in the drive through. I could tell the bacon was microwaved, it had that rubber plastic look. The cheese pull I got was really really beautiful which was surprising. The only reason why I rated it a 4 star, is because I Only ordered the Melt, and I paid almost 9$. I will title this review "Hope springs eternal" otherwise the first question will be "why 4 attempts to get it right?" In the last 4 weeks, I have been to the Hanford store 4 times attempting to have a great bacon and egg breakfast. Each time. I have asked for the very same things and each time my request was not met. Crispy bacon, sunny side up eggs, wheat toast with butter. Does that sound difficult? No you say? Well read on...The first time, the eggs were over easy, the bacon nearly raw and the "toast" was not only unbuttered, but not even toasted! Just two slices of bread. The next time I attempted, I called in my order and mentioned the last issue to the manager who gave me 10% off this order, which at face value was nice but what followed left me angry I hadn't asked for a free meal (I had receipts and photos to back up my claims) This meal had bacon that this time was not nearly raw but certainly not crispy, the bread was toasted but still no butter and the eggs were at some point sunny side up but had been cooked to literally powder in the yolks. The 3rd time, I did not mention my previous disappointments as I was thinking maybe they were just getting even with a disgruntled complainer and decided to start fresh. Nope! Eggs were over hard, bacon limpy and cold and the toast STILL unbuttered! At this point I assumed that they did not understand me and at my next visit I needed to actually venture into the lion's den and make my order face to face so that there could be no mistakes. I did that literally explaining in detail everything I had been through and what I wanted. As there is no in store dining, I was still left to take the mystery bag home with high hopes this approach would wield me my obviously MUCH desired yummy meal. NOPE!! The eggs the last time were actually right but the bacon was still limp, and the toast dry as a desert! At this point I realized I had invested far too much effort and $$ into this endeavor, but in my misguided hope that they actually did care about getting it right, I called the manager to let him know of my dilemma. He offered absolutely nothing, not even a sincere apology. He stated that I could come back in and bring the meal and my receipt and they would replace the order. Why on earth at that point would he think that I would have any interest in that offer baffles me! To sum it up..if you are looking for mediocre food and service this is the place for you. If you want toast, you have a 3 out of 4 chance of getting that, but if you want butter on that toast, your odds are nil. There will be no crispy bacon but 3 out of 4 times it will be cooked and as for the eggs, 1 out of 4 of you will get what you order!! Sarcasm aside, Farmer Boys is not interested in getting your order right the first time and less interested in making amends when they have failed the first time!! I realize as I review this, I have been unfair! All 4 times, I got hash browns that were edible. So after 4 trips and $37ish, I got acceptable hash browns every time!! Yes I am retired and obviously have a lot of time on my hands but even I know when to say "uncle" and give up.
