Ask the Community - Foster's Pet Cremation Service

My brother just got home and 2 of his dogs were dead.. our hearts are broken. How much is the price for cremation? We don't know what to do and can't afford high end prices. Please anyone who can help point us in the right direction

First I'm so sorry for the loss of your fur babies . We lost our Shitzu a few months ago and it was $125 but he was a little dog and we brought his ashes home in a little box , so a larger dog might be more and I understand that if you don't want… Read more

During Bentley's tenure up until last year, there has never been any issues with this office. A growth was discovered in Bentley's mouth that was about the size of a blackberry. It inhibited his ability to eat and chew normally and the growth appeared to be agitated. Bentley was seen for an initial examination and Dr. Gibson advised to not remove it, but to monitor it and see if it grows. A few months had passed and it surely did grow to double the size .To be proactive, I went ahead and went to the VCA San Francis Animal Hospital (16901 Shady Hills Rd Spring Hill, FL 34610) for a second opinion. They advised it needed to be removed due to the color and location of the growth. It was scheduled the next day and was removed. While Bentley underwent surgery, x rays were performed on his legs to determine why he had recently started to limp and stagger while walking/standing. Come to find out, Bentley had a torn ACL and would require additional surgery. Keep in mind Dr. Gibson does not perform major surgeries, and Bentley underwent TPLO surgery with a different office. Prior to the surgery, Bentley's records were requested from Garrison Animal Hospital. Now following both surgeries and ample recovery time, it was time to get Bentley's up to date vaccines scheduled. I contacted Garrison Animal Hospital multiple times to try and make an appointment. I was told that I would be called back, given the run-around, and yet they never did. After the fourth phone call attempt, l finally got in touch with Sam and he stated that I went to "multiple locations for a second opinion" (which is false) and was advised that I need to continue all services with another veterinarian. It was stated that since I got a second opinion, that there is no "trust". As any dog owner like you would do with your own child, I am entitled to receive a second opinion regarding my dog's health and well being at my leisure. The immaturity and outright disrespect I have received over multiple phone conversations is astounding. Because my dog underwent services somewhere else for issues not related to general wellness, I am to be denied service to vaccinate my dog? I was told that there are no openings and they don't know when they could see Bentley. Sam, the practice manager, was rude and instructed by Dr. Gibson to deny service. Their negligence and discrimination against myself and my dog will not go unnoticed. I am appalled and hope this serves as a warning to anyone potentially bringing their pet to Garrison Animal Hospital.

READ ENTER POST: WARNING... MAY BE A TRIGGER FOR SOME…read more I hired a vet (Dr. Greta Goranova) to put my cat down at my house. My cat had cancer but was still able to move around. Dr. Goranova kept telling me that my cat will "not like" the shot and I would need to hold her tightly. She told me that she will "not like it" several times while looking at me seriously. I thought "how bad can it be?" I mean, my cat has had many shots and procedures and was always very calm. I mean this is suppose to be "PEACEFUL" at home euthanasia experience after all!!!!! When the shot was delivered, my cat screeched and flailed in the air trying to get out of my arms and was inconsolable. I had never seen her react to ANYTHING like that EVER before. She kept clawing at the air trying to get away from me. I had to sit on the ground with her to hold her but quickly went to my room as that is where she would feel safest. I put her on the ground so she would not feel restrained. She fell all around because of the drug so I quickly picked her up again and she then stopped moving in my arms. I kept debating if I should leave this review because I hate to mark any one with a negative review and Dr. Goranova was kind the entire time and asked if she could help in any other way after it was all done. No one I have spoken with has had this experience with their animal. They all report that their's was a peaceful experience. My baby was euthanized May 5th, 2025 and today is August 2nd, 2025 and all I can still think of is the scream and terror of my baby as her last experience before she died. How I can't forgive myself but more how I feel betrayed by everyone involved in this situation. I contact Codapet to ask who to talk to if I was not satisfied with my experience but had no reply. I also tried to leave a review on codapet's page. Guess what... you can't. Consider another company. There may be a reply to this review but I won't be back to read it. It really doesn't matter what they, or anyone else, would say any way. Nothing will change what my baby went through, what I went through and what I am still going through. Make sure no one ever says, "She/He won't like this"!

Even the most skittish, Sadie, was beginning to warm up after a few minutes, this NEVER happens. My dogs are all true rescues, they have been thru some , and each has issues (no comments about how pets and owners are similar ) - BUT they are pampered now and for me to Choose Weeki Wachee Waggers says A LOT. Definitely give them a look if you need pet sitting (dogs, cats, reptiles) or dog walking! Papa Bear Approved!

Whether it's belly rubs, long walks, or just keeping them company, I'm happiest when I'm making pups feel safe, loved, and right at home. While I've been a dog lover my entire life, my experience goes well beyond that. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working in dog boarding and daycare, including time spent at a no-kill animal shelter. I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities - from the shiest little guys to the most energetic big pups — and l've loved every moment of it. I'm also trained in Pet First Aid and CPR. Before starting with any new client, I like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It's the perfect chance for us to get to know each other, talk about your dog's needs, and make sure it's a great fit for everyone. After all, no one knows your pet better than you do, and I want to provide care that feels just like home. At the end of the day, l'm here to make sure your dog is safe, happy, and loved — and I'd be honored to be your trusted sitter!
