We bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV from Foundation Chevrolet and if it hadn't of been a hard to find car at the time we probably wouldn't have after we found out about the $799 "Colorado " fee they tack on to every vehicle whether you think it adds any value or not. Spoiler alert, it's just a money grab by the dealership and adds little to no value. Now on to our issue, which to be clear is only about the management and complete lack of customer service they provide. We did look over our car and test drove it, but being this was a brand new car we did not inspect every inch with a fine tooth comb, which apparently was a mistake at Foundation because they did not do a thorough enough inspection upon delivery of the car to catch the defect we later found when the sunlight hit the car just right two weeks after buying. We found a defect in the paint which, if it was just cosmetic, we could probably deal with but the way the paint is bubbled water could get in there and cause rust so it needs to be fixed. Foundation is about an hour away, so it took us some time to get our car there, but we did text our salesman as soon as we found it, but in the meantime, we've taken our car to another Chevy dealer and an independent auto body shop and the consensus of both is that there are NO brushstrokes visible, and the paint job is too perfect so it had to have been sprayed , yet there is no evidence of tape lines so the only conclusion is the defect happened at the plant before it was painted. When we take it back to Foundation to have the warranty work done their manager claims to see brushstrokes. Now why he would falsely claim this to deny a customer warranty work on a car they sold with a defect is a question I would like answered. He provided zero level of customer Service. He should've been advocating for us to get the warranty work instead of just writing it off , but instead he said that we would have to be out of pocket to have that defect fixed. This speaks volumes about the lack of integrity, honesty, and 0% commitment to any customer satisfaction the management at Foundation Chevrolet have. I have a Chevrolet Volt that only requires an oil change every two years. I have been bringing it in to the dealer for these oil changes. This time I also wanted to change out the 12v battery as it was the original from the manufacturer. This dealer has a service tech who is specifically trained and certified by General Motors on the technology of this vehicle. I called ahead and made an appointment with that tech. My vehicle was taken in at the time of my appointment. I had a ride home so I could come back later to pick it up. Service staff were welcoming. They went over everything that would be done and gave me my estimate. I even had a text from the tech so we could communicate and cover any questions during service. Once my vehicle was done, I returned to pick it up. They washed it for me. Nice touch. The one star removed was only for time. I purchased 2 vehicles in the past 3 months from this company. One 2024 Silverado 2500 High Country Diesel - about $100k out the door. One 2022 Buick Enclave Premium - about $44k if I remember...it included a trade in. The diesel is broken with bad ECM after about 7k miles. No eta available....I heard maybe May. I tried to deal with Steve, my original salesperson, who is great..... and Tyler, the sales manager, who is a tool. Thought maybe a trade in would be quickest. They completely low balled me for my broken truck and would not even try to help. Said for $20k, we can get you in another truck. An insult. They sold me a bad truck and won't help me. I planned on buying more vehicles for many reasons but have zero incentive to deal with Foundation. In my business, I must stand behind my trade, sometimes take it on the chin to win. Foundation management I have dealt with, basically says "Your problem." Tyler literally said, "I can't have a broken truck on my lot for 5 months....." What the heck am I supposed to do with a broken truck for 5 months???? You sold me something that isn't working.....it is a work truck..... I have since reached out to GM to see what they will do. They started something. But now waiting on Foundation to send them info from my understanding. Just returned from being a victim of Bait and Switch! They advertised a car on cars.com and their website. Tuesday, I informed them my interest in purchasing and would be in on Friday. They clearly knew my intentions. I got there Friday, test drove the car.....started negotiations. After the third round when they felt I was getting too good of a deal, they told me "the car was sold earlier in the week" and the buyer was coming to get it that day. Alex is a crooked dealer. Here is my experience. They didn't even properly onboard me. I was extremely disappointed with my experience today.... Which blows my mind after I explicitly expressed that I really needed this to be a good experience First off, I scheduled for 11 alex requested for me to come in at 10 then asked me to wait so he could try to secure another deal versus being mindful of me accommodating my schedule to cater to his. I did not like how alex was going back and forth between two people when we were trying to close the deal. He texted us when we were going over it at the restaurant that he was heading out. Not the case because I saw him with other customers who were there at 3... they were there after we left. I don't think he was fully honest with me. Please see where I said I wanted to see all the new trail blazers. When I came without Jordan alex told me the 2023 I test drove was the only new trail blazer with AWD. Clearly it wasn't since I bought a new trail blazer with AWD. A 2024 I don't think working with Alex was a smart idea. DISASTER! Negative ZERO if I could. I work in Beverly Hills CA but my folks are in Colorado. I had their Denali towed in for a starter issue. It sat on the lot FOUR DAYS with the keys on the seat. We called maybe 12 times. No answer. Voicemail full. General Manager Chad Raskin was absolutely useless. Then finally my elderly parents went out to point it out. They pulled it in and took it for about a week... again no calls. No answer. No quote. Until a last minute message for over $2000 on a starter issue. So I finally denied service and sent a tow for different shop. I was then charged over $200 because they looked at it. This was the worst customer service shop ever. Avoid Avoid! I bought my 21 Silverado diesel 3.0 from what used to be Medved Chevrolet in 2021. The purchasing experience was very common as with any dealership. The worst experience is trying to get my truck into maintenance. Out of the 40 to 50 phone calls I have made for appointments or to check on the status of my vehicle. the service department has only picked up the phone twice. My experience has been that I have to go in person to speak with somebody to either make an appointment or to find out what the status of my truck is. They do not provide an estimated timeline for completion. It's just "leave the truck here and will get back to you". My frustration with the maintenance department is that my diesel truck is having long crank or no crank on start up over the last winter or if the temperature dropped below 32°. I have dropped off my truck for multiple days at a time and they told me there's nothing they have found to cause this issue. They looked at me as if dumbfounded or that was making this up. They said they never have heard of any issue like this before. I will not keep my truck for another winter. Now the latest issue with them is I had what sounded like an exhaust leak. I dropped off my truck on June 24th and no one followed up with me for two weeks. After leaving numerous voicemails. I had to go in person to ask what was the status of my truck. They said a part was on back order and it should be in soon. I followed up with several phone calls over the next 10 days. No one called me or picked up. I went back in person after 3.5 weeks from when my truck was first dropped off. and they said the part has been here but the technician was out. I asked if another technician can you put on this and they said they will get back to me. After the fourth week on Tuesday July 25th they said another technician will be put on this job. And it would be done 7-28. Well, they finally called me on the 28th to tell me the technician will have it finished by Monday 7-31, because he is now out for the weekend. I explained over the last several weeks that I need my vehicle for work, and if they had a loaner vehicle I can borrow, they said they do not and there's nothing they can do. This is a common occurrence at this maintenance shop- a severe lack of communication, promises of dates made and broken. I will never buy a vehicle or take one back to Foundation Chevrolet because of these ongoing issues. read more

I was constantly passed off to different people and no one knew what they were doing. We finally agreed on an offer that included a $5,000 rebate. They sent me a written offer that included the rebate and scheduled a time for me to make the 500 mile round trip to purchase the vehicle. Zero stars! I was a loyal customer and had spent a few thousand dollars over the years for various repairs. Last March, on a freezing cold night, my Chevy Tahoe oil pressure sensor went out. I went to Auto Zone and they confirmed it was the sensor. So I brought the Tahoe into Medved Wheat Ridge and I was given 2 options - replace oil pump system for $1800 or new engine for $7000. Joel told me it was not my sensor that was out but my oil pump system. We wanted a second opinion and took the Tahoe to Penetta's in Arvada and sure as shit, it was just a sensor that cost me $200 with labor. Oil pump system running great! Engine running great! Unfortunately I trusted Joel and Jason after being a customer for over 5 years, but they lied to make a profit. Bad mojo going on over at Medved. Stay away! read more

The WORST treatment/service I have ever gotten when getting my truck serviced. I made an appointment for an oil change, I came back 2 hours later to find the truck still not done. On top of that I was told that I needed over 3,000 worth of work. I was told my radiator was leaking badly from the right upper corner. Well, I could not see any signs of leakage (no antifreeze smell, no stain in my garage, no temperature warning light, and no visible leak) which you would think would be very visible being that it was "very badly leaking". When I was asked to see the leak they told me it would need to be put on the rack, and they could not do that when I was picking up the vehicle. I took my car to a local mechanic and they looked over my truck and found no leak or signs of any leak. What were they trying to pull? Trying to get me to spend thousands of dollars when I did not need to. Not to mention they left a hose disconnected, and said nothing about it to me. I would not recommend ANYONE to this dealership or service Center. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of here. read more

I pointed out several issues with the used vehicle that I was looking at and asked them to either fix the issues or reduce the price accordingly. They had the vehicle priced above blue book and the vehicle was fairly rough. It had body repairs that were not listed on the car fax. Several things in the interior that needed fixed or replaced. The back up camera did not work. Etc. the sales manager mocked me not realizing that I was standing just a few feet away at the time then he proceeded to tell me that most customers are not as thorough as I am with inspections so he's sure he will still get top dollar if he finds the right person. I had my car towed to Foundation Chevrolet due to a stuck ignition cylinder. I was told it would take 1-2 weeks to get the part and fix it. I received a text saying that if I needed any further assistance to text the number. I texted the number and said I believe the car was under warranty cause it was less then 3 years old and less then 36;000 miles. I was told unfortunately it was not under warranty. after week 3 I again texted the number asking about the car and nobody got back with me so after the car being there a month I went into the business to find out the part was still not there and they had no idea when it would be there. After doing some checking I found out the car was under warranty and could not get anyone to text me back so on week 5 I again go to the business and was told the part is on its way and its coming from the manufacture. I asked about a tracking number and they said parts don't come with a tracking number but should be done this week. I then asked again about the warranty and was told a 2nd time it was not under warranty. So a week later in week 6 of my car being there I go in a prove its under warranty and ask about reimbursement for the tow and that they are supposed to supply a rental car. The guy then said that they won't know if it's under warranty until they pull out the cylinder and make sure it was not tampered with. I asked to speak with the service manager and after waiting 15 minutes the guy comes back and says he can't find him but would have him call me. After no call Week 7 comes around and I again go in and was told the part is on the way. I offered to fly to wherever the part was coming from and pick it up but they couldn't even tell me where the manufacture was. I again asked about the device being tampered with and they tell me they won't know tell they take the old one out. I asked why after being there 7 weeks had they not taken the old one out and he said he has no idea. I again ask to speak to the service manager and after waiting 20 minutes I got mad and left. 2 days later I email the service department and ask for a phone call from the service manager and he never called me back. So I send out several messages and emails and the next morning I get a call telling me my car is a number 1 priority and they will work to get it fixed. 45 minutes later I get a call telling me the car is fixed. They ntook out the ignition cylinder and found out iy had a couple defects in it and was able to fix it without the new part. I was so mad that after 2 months and no reimbursement for the tow and no rental car that they were able to fix it in 45 minutes. So I go pick up the car and the guy says I had the car cleaned for you and that he was sorry it took so long. I get in the car and notice it had not been cleaned and was as dirty as it's ever been. I again send an email asking to talk to the service manager and finally get a call. I tell him the entire story and ask what they are going to do to give me some sort of reimbursement and he says in a round about way that I get nothing. So I paid for 2 car payments 2 insurance payments and paid to have it towed in and borrow a car, pay for ubers ask friends for rides and this is the service I got after 4 cars from this dealership. Totally unacceptable service. The only thing they offered to do was when and if the part ever arrives they will call me and put the new one in for free. I have been trying to contact them to pick my truck up (as we are going on one week now). I need to schedule a time because I work in emergency care and it's hard for me to step away. A few months ago I started looking for a reliable used car. I had a few options as I had cash. I chose to go to a dealership to take advantage of the benefits. I went to Foundation Chevrolet formerly Medved. I purchased a Toyota Camry, used...and I paid cash. They would not let me take it until it went through their inspection. Tho we did all the paperwork. I got a call the next day. They said it did not pass inspection. I could either buy as is or choose another vehicle. I chose the latter..... picked out a car...next day same phone call...it did not pass inspection, THEIR inspection....same options. I asked for my money back. It took almost 2 weeks of phone calls....leaving messages...had to call the manager to get my money back. That was almost 2 months ago. Today In the mail I got a card from the Colorado state patrol. It starts, Our records show our department is holding property that belongs to you.........On the postcard It has all the information of the Toyota Camry I originally wanted to purchase at Foundation.That begs questions and concerns.... theoretically i could pay the fine and get the car, .... Also on the postcard It said that if I did not retrieve the vehicle within 72 hours from the date on the card it would be auctioned off??? I called the dealership and they said they had no idea what could have happened...I told the manager let me tell you what happened, you sold that car...They drove it to Springs...it broke down and the new owners had not registered it in their name yet...OR someone in your organization was driving it...nonetheless it should not have been in my name.... He said if I continued talking to him in that fashion he wouldn't try to figure out what happened and hung up on me....WTH???? My main concern is I hope this does not affect my credit or be present on my driving record... I had the worst experience with Mark Lee from the Used Sales. It started when I called to have a truck ready for me when I got to the dealership to test drive with 20 minutes notice. When I arrived I waited for 15 minutes while the Mark got the truck ready. When he finally got the ready I was talking to Eddie, a different sales person and when I told Mark I preferred to work with Eddie he instantly turned into being rude and short with me. The truck battery was dead while we tried to start the test drive, auto side step wasn't working, check 4x4 light, and I was confused when the dash showed 54k Kilometers, instead of 34k miles. When I went inside to talk to Mark about it instead of reassuring me about the truck and saying let's go outside and check all of this out he threw my keys at me and my registration. Then on the way out I called him a d**k and he said "You too". After I had left the dealership he proceeded to text me in a rude manor instead of apologizing for the way he acted. According to the rest of the review I am not the only customer who has had an experience like this from this dealer in the past several months. Eddie by the way was really helpful and was willing to show me other trucks, but at that point I wanted nothing to do with the dealership. read more

Don't trust the service department. I did, and they screwed me over. First, they did not install front and rear breaks and rotors at the price they quote at the shop and in their emails, which is why I went there in the first place. That made me grumble, but I went with them anyway because I really needed the work done. I could let that slide. But, they installed my front pads incorrectly (verified by another shop that actually does quality work), which led to several months of squeaking breaks and damage to the new rotors they installed. They had the audacity to the. say that my "driving in the mountains" caused the break pads to not function properly (meanwhile, I haven't gone into the mountains once since getting the new breaks), which damaged the new rotors and they quoted me at over $600 to replace those. I guess the 24-month unlimited mileage warranty is just a suggestion? Oh, and let's not forget, they installed them improperly! But they would throw me a bone and take off the labor costs to install the new rotors, which I shouldn't even need anyway with only 4 months and about 5,000 miles on these new ones. What garbage. There are plenty of reputable shops that service Chevys, do quality work, and stand by their work. Take your car to one of those over this slimy place and save yourself some headaches. read more

The short of this review, don't take your vehicles here unless you want to end up with: - Issues not taken care of you brought it in for. - NEW issues when you get the vehicle back that were not present when you took your vehicle in. - Terrible communication. - Them WAY overcharging you for illegitimate things (that they admitted to). - Telling you repairs are needed when they are not. This was an absolute nightmare and now my vehicle is outside of the warranty so they will not fix it. The service manager refused to call me back about any of it. Feel free to read below for details on what I ran into here. 1. A/C - My vehicle is a 2017 Traverse and we have had to recharge/fill the A/C 4 times since buying it. Clearly there is a leak. They had us pay around $400 (which they later reduced) out of pocket for the diagnostic with dye to find the leak and said the warranty would cover that cost if they found a leak. They filled the A/C and said everything looked good and if it seemed to leak again that they "would look deeper into the issue at that time." They didn't locate the leak or fix it. 2. Rack and Pinion - We took the vehicle in for an alignment in at a Midas and they wouldn't align it as they said the rack and pinion was shot and causing the issue and needed replaced. Chevy said it was just a leaking power steering hose and replaced that. We got the vehicle back and there was a power steering whine that was not there when we took it in. I ended up having to fill the steering fluid myself and after the sound was still present. They said the sound was fine and they did nothing to fix it. My vehicle my local mechanic's (different than Midas) today for brakes and they confirmed that the rack and pinion is indeed failing at that it will cost around $2k for repair since it is now outside of the warranty. Again, the service department didn't even look at the rack and pinion. 3. Power Door Locks - Both passenger side door locks were failing when locking/unlocking the vehicle. The rep I was dealing with tried to tell me it was a bad battery. A failing battery isn't going to cause only 2 locks to fail, I have NO idea why he would have said this. I told him it was likely the door lock actuators failing. He had the tech look at it and sure enough it was the actuators. 4. Cabin Air Filter - I had replaced the filter myself less than a week before and they told me the filter needed to be replaced and was filthy. 5. Jitter in the steering wheel - They replaced some suspension parts and told me it was fixed. I took the vehicle out and it was no different than when it went in. I took it right back and they told me that it was the tires and they needed to be replace and would look again after they were replaced. I knew it wasn't, but I spent $1,000 on new tires and the issue was still there. 6. Fictitious charges - I just wanted to pay and be done with them as I had taken it here a number of times over 6 months and would go weeks without the vehicle between repairs only to still have issues, or, new issues. I was expecting to pay around $300. He said the total was close to $1,000. I asked why. He said, "I'm not really sure what the charges are for...I think you warranty deductible was higher." I got home I checked the warranty paperwork and it my warranty was $100. I called him and he told me to immediately come down and he would refund it. I asked him about it and he truly had no answer for why he charged the amount or where he came up with it from. Instead of refunding the charges, he ended up charging my card a second time. He ended up refunding both amounts, but told me it would take several days for the funds to be available. I ended up having to work with my bank to straighten everything out. We were on the cusp of the extended warranty being up, so needed everything fixed properly. We now have around a total of $5k in repairs we are looking at with our local mechanic. They haven't even looked it at it, it's been sitting there for 3 weeks and no one can give me any kind of update on it. This is the worst experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. From paying the vehicle off, and never receiving a title. Medved had GM sent the title to the wrong address. I did get payment request at my address and paid it off. Then taking it in because windshield washer fluid smell inside the vehicle.
