Then moved to Colorado and I have all the maintenance services for my vehicle taken care at this location. The staff in the service dept does a fantastic job! They have great communication skills and Shane took special care of my vehicle this wk went I went in for an oil change. A nail was found in the side wall of my tire and they replaced it free. Purchasing the extra warranty on my vehicle for things like tire issues or windshield cracks, car dents, has saved me a lot of money already. But i have had really awful interactions with both sales and parts here at AutoNation West Subaru. When I contacted sales, they just dropped the ball entirely. Literally did not respond to my email. It was very uncharacteristic compared to literally every other car dealer I've ever spoken to in my entire life. Needless to say, I bought my new car elsewhere. When i called parts to inquire about custom wheel covers, they couldn't tell me the part number of the wheel cover I wanted to buy and asked me, "Do you even know how big your tires are?" Bought a brand new car with full warranty and it had strut issues when it shouldn't have and wanted to charge me over $3k. Traded car in and was pushed into a car that the Sales person, Jay forced me into and he lied and deceived me so much over many things. Had nothing but issues since I got the second car. Took it in numerous times (over 10 times) to this AutoNation I bought it from as well as other Subaru AutoNations. Also have bumper yo bumper warranty on it and they won't repair it. Claim they can't find the cause of the issue. Even though they see there is an issue. I have numerous photos and videos and yet they won't figure out the exact issue and repair it. Looked into a third car for trade in and used this time. Took it to another mechanic to have inspected and it has a seeping issues and the sales manager said that's not an issue to be concerned about that all used cars on their lot have seeping issues. I literally had to go in and ask for the person face to face to get them to talk to me. the service manager well good luck with that, she blows you off and the mechanics they have can't seem to find what is wrong with your car. hmmmmmm what kinda mechanics are they? then their way of fixing things is to put you into another lemon. after two new cars with problems each with a warranty they tried to push me off to another vehicle. Not going for it a third time. when I said no they became pushy and not very nice. also, what I think is crazy they have a lot of one star reviews on google and their response is "I'm sorry here is a number to call and let's see if we can resolve the issue" well, you should have resolved in the first place and anyone who has experienced autonation knows that is lie! If you purchase a car here be warned it could be a very horrible experience leaving you with a lemon car and frustrated that they won't return calls or fix the problem. read more

Recently had an inspection done to take a look at a vehicle I recently purchased. I was quoted $650 for a new battery and battery tray. I didnt realize this dealership was hurting for money so bad. At first I said yes to this, but then realized how much of a scam it was. On top of that I was charged an additional $100+ for a tray replacement(because they were not gentle with the tear off), but it looks as if they just used JB Weld to repair a crack where my battery was and not actually repair what they said they did. I also asked why my car failed emissions, to which my service advisor replied it was because of wrong gas(e85) put in the car. According to google and multiple other sources, e85 is fine to put in the car. Upon further research, I needed to reset my cars drive cycle by driving 55 mph for 5-7 miles on the highway before taking the emissions test. I wish my service advisor was more knowledgeable before telling me the wrong thing. read more

Don't waste your time--I pay $80 a month for AutoNation's Gold Warranty only to be told by this specific service center they charge $110 per issue that needs to be looked at w/my car. Just absolutely insane. Wasted 1.5 hours of my life to drive there & back home to find out this info. Not worth it. Not to mention the service advisor whom name was Jake has no idea how to interact w/customers. If you are looking to buy a car, just skip AutoNation entirely. Went through the online scheduler for my cracked windshield and my horn being out. I received no confirmation of my appointment until 2 days prior, which also did not include the vital information that this dealership does not replace windshields. I did not learn that they would only complete one requested service until I got there day of. Additionally after the diagnostic, we were quoted multiple hundreds of dollars above what my go to shop quoted me last I was in. This is another reminder that dealerships are consistently more expensive, less friendly, less communicative than mom and pop shops. I recently purchased a 21 Atlas from Ryan. A few days after we purchased it, there was a sound in the right front. I'm not a mechanic so I called made an appointment and had it the next morning at the dealership for them to repair it. I was told it was the new brake pad and that was it. I then drove my car home which is about 200 miles from the dealership, I unfortunately did not make it because the belt was shredded and left us stranded. We called and spoke with the manager, Les. He informed us that the only option was to have it towed back to the dealership over 200 miles away, leaving me with no car and no other option. I never heard back from him after that. I had to have a repair shop in my town fix the belt because no one from the dealership returned my phone calls. I then called and asked to speak with the general manager and left him a message. And that was two days ago and I'm still waiting for a callback or a resolution or any sort of customer service that they claim to have. If I can deter one person from purchasing a vehicle from them, then my review has done its job. Save yourself the trouble. On top of that, Owen was incredibly helpful in working with me to get the best deal on my new 2025 Subaru Forester. They didn't have the exact color I was wanting and went the extra mile to get what I was looking for to the dealership overnight. Jacob from the finance team was very helpful in explaining all of the different warranties and add-ons available to me all while not being overly pushy like many other dealerships are. After taking delivery of my car, I noticed some scratches on the roof the next morning (likely from shipping). Yet again they went above and beyond and got me in that week to take a look and got it resolved for me quickly. They certainly didn't have to do this, but it says a lot that they did and I really appreciated it! Very glad I decided to go to Subaru West for my new car buying experience and strongly recommend them if you're in the market for a new car! I bought a Buick Envision back in March. Nick the salesmen told me how great this warranty was that I did not want to buy. He assured me it was great and they would take care of any rock chips or scratches less than 4 inches. Still didn't want it, he told me it was worked into the cost so I couldn't drop it. I figured well at least it's great. 6 months later I decide I want to get a few rock chips repaired and a scratch on my wheel. After getting the run around from 3 different people at Auto Nation who have never heard of this warranty ... I find out it only covers water marks and bird poop! You made me spend $1500 on a cleaning warranty! They are all liars, no one will call me back. I have left messages for Matt the finance guy that said he would help if I needed anything, still no call back. Go anywhere else, they are a bunch of scammers who have no idea what customer service is! read more

Horrible experience. I purchased a car at the end of December. They apparently didn't even try to submit the request for a title until March, which they screwed up. They told me they submitted the paperwork again in April, but I was at the DMV three days after the alleged submission and they had no record of it. I finally had to involve a criminal investigator for the Department of Revenue to even verify they had title to the car and force them to submit the paperwork, three months late. I reached out to the GM several times and never received a response. If your customers have to file a complaint with a regulatory agency to get you to comply with the most basic of requirements, there's a problem in how you run your business. read more

I didn't know why Autonation dealers were horrible until I went there to ask for some simple pricing and financing that Subaru corporate was advertising on their website. They fed me all sorts of lies to convince me out of what Subaru's own website was advertising. They are scam artists, but they get business because the cars are decent. Shame on them. Believe what you read. The reviews are accurate and these people are a joke. Spoke to Dan in advance about the vehicle and price range I'm looking at. I spend 2.5 hours taking public transportation down there (intended to buy the car and drive it home) just to find out the car was heavily smoked in. Dan then proceeds to play dumb and offer all kinds of remedies. He even says "I can't know everything about every car!" Well you should know about the cars your potential clients are coming to see when they specifically tell you. After that, he pivots to a same year Forester with less miles. Very nice car but I reiterate my cap on price to which he says we can work on the numbers. Skip forward 60 min, a test drive, credit app just for him to pitch me a deal 7k above what I told him I would spend to which his response is "well we don't negotiate price." I just bought a used car here a couple of weeks ago. The car is fine. But they lied about performing a 125 point certified inspection. The spare was flat (and it was marked as "meets standard"). The cabin air filter was clogged and torn. It's another bullet on their inspection. I wasn't getting any air flow in the car. I replaced the filter and now it works fine. Last weekend, after reading a positive Yelp review mentioning her name, we made an appointment with Sarah Foster to chat about Subaru models. We enjoyed meeting Sarah and decided to buy a CrossTrek, a Sport model with an additional safety package. The store had one in stock in a color we liked. We went home to think about how to put the deal together. Much snow fell. In the morning we thought we'd call Sarah and give her a deposit via a credit card because we are not brave snow drivers. Sarah offered to pick us up in Lakewood and bring us to the store in Golden. Everything went well there. It went well with Sarah and with Jake the finance manager, nice guy. We met the sales manager, who gave us his card and suggested we call him for any reason, another nice guy. The staff appeared to us to be informally dressed and not shark-like. Do not believe the hype/white these people are out of their god damn minds I was told I needed a co-signer of 750 credit with 4,000 down deposit on a old Subaru that's cost $8000 total. Now I'm not saying I'm the brightest star in the sky but the kid who helped me out didn't do much of a good job because after 30 years of living iv never seen math so horrible. That make zero since. Good credit score (750) and 4,000 deposit? For a 2011 Subaru Outback which was a second option to what I even came to see. This is really making me laugh more than mad I just had to share. I walked out with 2 grand still in pocket and will not ever recommend this company to any one. I want them to collect as much dust as possible. Oh and the salesman said some slick when I left. Where in a slick way. Just glad I didn't come in here with my jewelry on they might would have closed the doors :) And another thing I just notice. They so damn racist and slick that they ran my credit and not once looked at my pay stubs lol. I make more than everybody in that office by the way. If I could give AutoNation Subaru West 100 stars I would. I purchased a SUV from them in April, and when I did I felt like a VIP but I didn't understand why. Paul was the most helpful, and genuinely caring car dealer I have ever met in my entire life. He took the time to help me, knowing I was just a regular person, with a regular income, rebuilding my credit. He didn't give up after the first, second, or even third no. In addition to Paul's diligence, the finance managers assisting in securing financing also worked hard with him to get me into a loan that worked for me, in the vehicle I wanted. It took the day, and my patience, but Paul was able to get me into the exact vehicle I wanted, at the exact payment amount I was budgeting. He stayed extra late to make sure I would get my car that day. He took time to get to know me as a person as well, which meant so much to me. The world is not a perfect place, and no one can avoid mistakes. My SUV ended up having an issue a couple weeks after purchase; once again they went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of. My car was at a different service center, but Paul was sure I would have a car to use while it was gone. Annsley in the service department is an angel and without her, I would've been without a car for a while. The service center my car was with didn't follow through with the quality service that was expected from them, but Paul and AutoNation Subaru West went above and beyond for me to make sure the situation would be made right, even though they did no wrong in it. I cannot say thank you enough to Paul, Noel, Annsley, Wes, Liam, and the rest of the AutoNation Subaru West team for what they have done for me since they came into my life. I bought a $11,000 car so don't think I am some big spender either. They are just genuinely good people who want to help. When the time comes for me to get a new SUV (about 4 years when my oldest begins to drive), I absolutely will be returning to AutoNation Subaru West and will refer anyone I can to them. The service here has gone down hill significantly. Jon Phillips was my service person and Subaru had my car for 5 months until they decided to fix it. I had to end up paying for the cost of the repairs to find out a day later that the check engine light came on. No one at the dealership wanted to take responsibility and didn't check whatever the problem was beforehand and I had to end up paying more money. This is very horrible service and unprofessional, just another way to gouge money out of customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out.
