We were waitlisted for Angel Face and started in 2022. It was worth the wait!…read more We now have two children in the daycare program and we love it! We can't say enough good things about the staff and communication. As a new mom, I was nervous to send my then-18mo old into a daycare but the teachers alleviated my concerns. I still remember the first day when we dropped him off, I received a video of him *not crying* and singing with his new classmates, within 15 minutes. The teachers work hard to take care of the children and I can feel the love they pour into each student. The staff are extremely patient. We have a picky eater and Ms. Chrissy and the teachers worked to get him to eat and really encouraged him to try new things. The teachers make every effort to get kids to engage and get along. They address all my concerns and work diligently to prepare my pre-k student for kindergarten. I love to see his writing progress and his vocabulary explode! We love all the updates and newsletters. We especially love the pictures and videos the teachers send. I love the app we use to communicate and receive updates for the kids throughout the day. While this location is small, I also think it adds to the family feel and all the teachers know the children/parents. I feel safe sending my kids to this school and do not hesitate to recommend them to future families. Honorable mentions to Ms. Kimmy, Ms. Britney, Ms. Nini, Ms. Ana, Ms. Cassie, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Mel, Ms. Mailie, Ms. Kayleigh, Ms. Angelina and Ms. Hope.

She's been attending for over a year now, and every day reaffirms that we made the BEST choice. From day one, the staff has been nothing short of incredible--so warm, welcoming, and truly invested in every child. I toured so many schools, but the moment I met Mrs. Jackie, I knew this was the place. She went above and beyond--giving me two full tours, answering all my (many!) questions as a nervous first-time mom, and making me feel completely at ease. And it doesn't stop there! Mrs. Jamie and Mrs. Stephanie are absolute gems--kind, attentive, and so passionate about what they do. This isn't just daycare--it's a pre-K powerhouse! The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to prepare kids for the next step, focusing on numbers, letters, writing, and more. My daughter has learned SO much and comes home excited to share it every day. The environment is spotless, safe, and full of love. The classrooms are bright, beautifully decorated, and filled with incredible learning tools that keep the kids engaged and inspired. I recommend Hand in Hand to everyone I know--it's truly a hidden gem. So thankful we found this place!

The Teachers and Staff members are so welcoming and genuinely care about each and every child that walks through the front door. My son is in the Pre-K class with Ms. Faith. And let me tell you, she is such a wonderful teacher who always goes ABOVE and BEYOND for the students in her class. Not only is my son learning Spanish and sign-language in her class, but he is now reading better than my 6yo who attends 1st grade at a CCSD elementary school. A year ago, my son was struggling with his speech, expressing himself, and was socially awkward. Not anymore. Thanks to his teacher, he is very self-expressive and has so many friends throughout the facility! Ms. Faith finds fun and cool ways to incorporate STEM learning into their everyday curriculum. She also ensures to teach and celebrate a wide range of cultures and holidays such as Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Lunar New Year! The classroom is filled with a diverse group of children so it is important to her that she does something special every month to celebrate them! My 6yo attends the facility on days that CCSD schools are out (holidays, spring/summer breaks). She has grown close with other children there and when I pick her up at the end of the day, she tells me she had an "Awesome day!" The summer break camp for the older kids is great because they have field trips planned out every week. The front desk staff are by far the best group of people, who are always willing to assist families if needed. More specifically, Ms. Kelsey and Ms. Kristen have truly been very helpful and supportive! The quality of care at CLA is top notch. Thank you CLA for everything you've done for my family!

WARNING TO ALL PARENTS: NEGLECTFUL, UNSANITARY, AND UNSAFE Do not send your children to the…read moreChildren's Learning Place on Ann Road as long as Jessica, Andrea, and Makayla are working there. This facility is unsafe, unsanitary, and the staff will actively lie to cover up severe neglect. Here is the truth about what happens inside this facility: Severe Medical Neglect & Hospitalization: My 2-year-old son was hospitalized for 4 days with sepsis because he ingested feces while in their care. Starvation & Dehydration: For six months, my son was sent home severely dehydrated and hungry. His daily report sheets claimed he was eating, but his teacher later confessed he wasn't eating or drinking anything. When I offered to send his own food or get a doctor's note, the administration completely denied my requests. Physical Neglect & Safety Hazards: I regularly picked up my toddler with his underwear completely off, his pants falling down, and his shoes unbuckled and untied. Filthy & Unsanitary Conditions: The facility is never cleaned. The children are left running around constantly with snot and boogers all over their faces. Gross Carelessness: The teachers are completely disorganized and constantly send other children's personal belongings and underwear home with the wrong families. Targeting & Bullying Older Kids: My 9-year-old daughter was constantly singled out, picked on, and gaslit by staff. Whenever she tried to defend herself, they told her she was "victimizing herself" and blamed her for the issues. Unprofessional Breach of Privacy: The staff called me to pick up my daughter immediately over an issue. When I explained I didn't get off work until 5:30 PM, Andrea aggressively told me, "Oh well, I'm calling your emergency contacts." When my mother and sister arrived to pick up my kids, the staff unprofessional aired out all of my personal business to them. Calling Children Liars: When my family confronted the boy involved in the incident with my daughter, the boy openly admitted my daughter did nothing wrong. Despite this, Andrea, Makayla, and Jessica stood right in my mother and sister's faces and called both of my children liars. Financial Lies & Retaliation: When caught in their lies, they tried to get physically confrontational with my family. They then retaliated by claiming my kids couldn't return due to an expired Urban League certificate from March. This was a blatant lie to cover their tracks, as I have been making consistent out-of-pocket payments, with the most recent payment made in June. This daycare is a danger to children's physical health, emotional well-being, and safety. Protect your family and avoid this location at all costs.
