I visited this FB and had to call SECURITY just to get a refund. Their sign does not say that the tropical burger has bacon, and they refused to give me money back or make me a new order. That is unacceptable for anyone with dietary or religious restrictions. What is worse is that the manager responded to the complaint with one text and then did not follow through on his promise to make things right. We will not be visiting again. read more

We were able to try this food truck during a CMT Live concert. I don't have really any experience with Venezuelan food so was very excited to try. Friendly and quick service. We ordered a Bomba Arepas to share. Wow the consistency of the plantains were just perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and moist/juicy. It was more bland/plain than I would have wanted flavor-wise. It had some sort of an avocado sauce on it I think, but not much. Not sure if they massed produced or changed or scaled down for this event. Maybe it usually comes with a sauce or maybe the items had to be prepped in a different time or way than usually? Limited menu was presented after looking them up online. They had some of their bowls and empanadas for sale that day as well, which I get it was a very white crowd for the event. I'm very excited to go try more options that are more adventurous in flavor as they have a few locations for food trucks. Only a 3 for now, but we definitely want to try more from this place and will update the review. read more

I was recently at the mall and decided to grab a bit to eat. I've been here before and remember that the food was pretty decent last time, so I ordered the Four Brothers Arepas with pork (which is gluten free!) The pork and other filling ingredients were incredibly well seasoned and delicious, but I did feel that the outer portion felt a bit too thick and didn't really have a strong flavor. I would have preferred if there was not so much of the outer breading and/or if it had a bit more flavor/seasoning, but overall this was a great treat. I've also had the sweet plantains here (always a fan!) and they were delicious. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the mall and I highly recommend the pork. read more

Interesting but delicious. I was pleasantly surprised on how filling and good the bowl was. I had the cabbage base option. I would say one of the most filling "healthier" options in the food court. I'd come here again and would highly recommend. I had a friend with me that's gluten free so this was about the only option for here. Got a couple of empanadas for lunch (chicken and beef) and I've got to say that both were really good. Nice crisp corn shell with nicely seasoned meat inside (I liked that they weren't overly salty). Two satiated me although I wasn't stuffed afterwards. Perfectly ok though since these were deep fried there was some residual oiliness. The sauce that came with it was a very nice compliment. Wow! I am getting school stuff at the mall and didn't feel like any of the usual fare. Pizza on one side, Chick-fil-A'l etc. four brothers had no line. Concerned me a little but I decided to try it. I ended up getting the pork bowl with rice and it is DELICIOUS. there's really tender shredded pork, black beans, rice, platanos, avocado, tomato. It's really really good. Maybe the prospect of Venezuelan food scares people away? I have no idea. It really bums me out though that Chick fil A has ten people in line and this place doesn't. What a pleasant surprise to find Four Brothers in the Barton Springs Mall food court! I followed advice from another reviewer and had the bowl with cabbage, tomatoes, beans, avocado, platanos, and cheese. It was so delicious and filling that I could only eat half. The savory chicken was shredded and so good. The flavors reminded me of Cuban food because it isn't spicy hot at all and still it is so full of great flavors. Lines were long at the usual suspects which I find unappealing . And then I spotted Four Brothers. No one was in line which is a shocker as this spot far exceeds the bland neighbors that appeal to the equally bland masses. Almost everything here is Gluten Free!!! I ordered a bowl with chicken, cabbage, black beans, avocado, and sweet grilled plantains all drizzled with a creamy, tangy garlic sauce. Venezuelan cooking where have you been in my life? The chicken had been braised and then seared to order on the flat grill. Healthy, freshly made and so flavorful in less than 5 minutes!! The place seems owned and operated by a family and the service was so welcoming - skip the lines at the lesser quality franchises and treat yourself to four Brothers! It's like a better, fresher, tastier Chipotle for those that may be timid to try a new cuisine. Four Brothers never fails to deliver! A local and family-owned food truck, every item I've tried tastes fresh and flavorful. I ordered the pulled pork arepa, tequenos (cheese sticks), chicken bowl, and all of their empanadas. The portions were generous and the garlic sauce is amazing! I used to frequent Four Brothers when they had a food truck on Barton Springs Road. It was always so good, and I've tried everything on the menu so far! This review is for the Barton Creek Mall location. I was surprised to see it, I think they are fairly new. But nonetheless I was excited to see them opening up a new location, as this one is only 5 minutes away from my house! I ordered a pork bowl to-go. I'm getting ready for my wedding so I opted for the cabbage instead of rice, but the bowl has black beans, avocado slices, shredded pork, tomato slices, maduro (sweet, soft plantain banana) and some shredded cheddar cheese on top. It does come with a green salsa on top, too. It's a heaping portion and I could only eat half. At $8 before tax, it's a deal! If you're on a health crutch and want to eat at the mall, highly recommend this place. The food is made fresh to order and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The bowls are hearty and have a good amount of protein. If you're looking to snack on something - try the arepas. It's like a corn floured sandwich. There's a little bit of everything here and the meals are well balanced. Highly recommend to try it out! read more

Tried this place for the second time today. They have 2 food trucks in Austin and just opened this location inside of Barton Creek mall. All food is made fresh to order so it may take a minute to come out. They have some small entrees, arepas, bowls, cachapas and some desserts. The chicken is good and spiced nicely. Me and my family love this place. I would officially like to say it is the best Venezuelan food in Austin. People might look at it and just think food court food but it's more than that. It's freshly made and it takes about 10 minutes for food to be ready. I go there almost every month and maybe every week. Here are all the things I have had to eat The Four Brothers Arepa, Cachapa, Loaded Yuca Fries, and the Bowl. I have never had a bad experience. They also have this amazing green sauce that I think is avocado that is addicting. Besides how good the food is they are very clean and sanitize the front cashier after every person orders. All of the workers wear mask and are following the guidelines. I really recommend this place, yes it might be a hassle because it's in the mall but it's worth it!!!! read more

I went here with my boyfriend on a sunday early evening and we shared a vegan bowl and Tequeños. Both were SO good- They gave a generous amount of avocado on the bowl and the cheese sticks were just perfectly satisfying. The beans had good flavor and the green sauce was tasty. Overall pretty healthy for a mall meal too. Only thing I would add is some sort of spicy sauce. We took it over to the bar next to the food court and paired them with some electric jellyfish on draft. It was like a top notch austin food-truck-at-a-bar meal yet it occurred in Barton creek mall. As a fellow Venezuelan, I want to see other Venezuelan restaurants succeed, especially since - in my very biased opinion - Venezuelan food is delicious. The problem with this particular Four Brothers isn't the food; it's that they don't want to work. A few weeks ago we went to the mall on a Sunday. Four Brothers closes at 6pm. It was 4:55pm, and the cook was cleaning the kitchen right in front of us and the lady working the register told us they were closed. Why? Because the cook was picking up and cleaning. Never mind the fact that it was 1 HOUR PRIOR TO CLOSING. No apology, no better excuse, nothing. Today I stop by to get some Tequeños for me and some family members who are visiting. They are supposed to open at noon. It was 12:20pm when I stopped by and they were still closed. There are people in the back, which I can see casually moving around. These are the types of companies I can't stand. We're in a tough time during covid in which many restaurants are doing everything possible to stay afloat and stay open. And then you have Four Brothers who seemingly doesn't care if it's open at its regular work hours and are willing to turn away customers who love their food simply because it's an inconvenience to them. read more

Every time I come to the mall, I make sure to not eat before so I can get their food here! The employees are always super friendly and helpful and the food is amazing.
